Nice patio on side. Also functional patio out front (on Preston is noisy, but Pubwell's cant help that).
Good pubby atmosphere. Standard pub fare. Good pizza. Great, attentive, friendly staff.

We arrived last night around 10: 30, and ordered food and drinks. The server came back and asked if we could pay right away because “it gets really hectic with bluesfest”. We were happy to do it but noticed she only asked us and once we paid and got our food, she never came back to see if we needed anything or if we wanted another drink.

The food was horribly rushed and didn’t taste great. Hopefully it was just a one off!

This place is super cozy, we did end up having to wait awhile before the server finally noticed us, but once we were seated everything was great, our server was very friendly and made sure that we were taken care of, and that everything was to our liking. I'll definitely be going again in the future

I probably had an unfair experience the time I was here, as some guy who looked like all of his log-ins involve the word "Lambo" ear-beat his date/girlfriend about how he took vacations and how many accounts he was about to close. That is NOT Pubwells' fault!
That said, beer selection was actually really good and their menu was quite good, the service was Excellent! I can't remember the last time I saw wait staff move that fast!
If I'm in town again, I'd try it again with a friend.

Friendly staff, good selection of beer. The menu is solid and they do pizza right! I suggest trying the Pinhead. My boyfriend enjoys their burgers as well, 1001 Nights does not disappoint.

Great spot. Pizza, club, falafel wrap, wings, fries, etc. All delicious. Awesome beer and really like the specialty cocktails. All that is only surpassed by the chill n fun atmosphere plus stellar service.

Fantastic pizza amazing beer and perfect live band.
Its very cozy and the place is well managed. Overall the most perfect bar i have been in.

Good food, great patio and great nightly features. I’m a regular attendee of the monthly Soho night feature! They also have live music and karaoke throughout the week.

Next Lil place. Server was fun and engaged. They have some pretty good specials. Beer and shot of Yager for $11. Will be going back to check out more.

Pubwells is an interesting little spot. Good beers, better pizza than you'd expect from a neighbourhood corner pub. Get there early on Fridays: it gets packed in there!

Pubwells has really improved since its been under new management, post-pandemic. Atmosphere, service, and food are way better than what was before. The music is played at a level where you can actually hear the people you're talking with - a small detail but a nice one. The chairs are comfortable and the staff are friendly. Prices are a little high for a pint of Guinness but still worth a visit.

Love Pubwells. It's a real neighbourhood hangout. You will run into people from the 'hood. Food, drink, service are great. Fun any evening of the week.

Friends of mine and I were looking for a place for a quiet beer and a chit chat on Friday night (Nov 25,2022) after a busy week. I’m glad I remembered that Pubwell’s is just down the street and we went there. I’m glad we did. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet conversation between friends, and the food was good pub food and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a great “neighbourhood” pub and I’d recommend it if that’s what you’re looking for. The club sandwich is delicious!

Fantastic little pub, went out with a couple friends after shooting billiards, good selection of on tap, very English pub styled, decorated nicely and lively, food was delicious, had ordered the Italian chicken sandwich, waited longer then the rest of the table but it was well worth the wait. Would definitely recommend visiting!

There for Canada's world cup match against Croatia. It was busy! Still, the staff managed v/ well keeping the food & beer flowing. It couldn't have been an easy morning for the guys, but they did a great job.

Beautiful, Cozy, place with delicious food! Not busy which makes it a perfect place to end your week and relax.

Have had nothing but issues trying to order online with these guys, which is too bad because the food is good in the restaurant. They need to figure out their online ordering process or cancel it because my family has been left hungry due to last minute cancelled orders a few times now.

We went to Pubwells last week the food was great. I had a chicken club and it was very good. A friend had a pizza that he enjoyed very much. Service was great, waitress was attentive and charming.
This was a third tie at Pubwells but it will not be the last.

A hole in the wall to grab a pint and catch up with friends. A little grimy but still enough character to make it eclectic. The washrooms are an adventure, you'll feel like Alice in Wonderland. If asked about Pubwells I would simply respond "well, it's a Pub. " Enough said.

Been going to Pubwells for over a year as our son takes lessons down the road. Until today we have had no problems, but staff have changed and it shows. Apparently the chef doesn’t allow you too spit a pizza e.g half veg half meat. I was happy to pay for a meat lovers for my husband but I don’t eat meat and I didn’t want a 10 inch to myself. (I went with out food while my family had wings).
We have spent a lot of money there over the year and even taken friends, but if a bar is to lazy to split a large pizza I guess I’ll be going elsewhere such a shame.

We loved Pubwells. Cosy and comfy atmosphere with friendly staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming. The live music was great. Definitely recommend Pubwells, check it out!

This place had a promo on uber eats for buy one get one free for one pound of chicken wings - what they in fact did was a 1/2 pound of wings in each of the 2 packages delivered. Will never give business to this place again and will actively discourage anyone I know from ordering from here.

Edit after reply from the owner: last I checked, a pound is 454 grams and is measured by weight and not an arbitrary number of wings you believe makes up a pound. Each of the 2 packages I received was ~250 grams (including the individual container) - I would encourage you to actually measure the weight before selling a pound of wings as a pound.

Ordered small pinhead pizza, wings and fries from Pubwells for the first time.very delicious and although it's pricey, I lucked out on a buy one get one deal on UberEats. Everything was very good and I highly recommend trying their fries. They are superb!

What a great spot for a birthday. Love the ambience here. Super cozy pub vibe. Oh, and the pizza was awesome.

The recent renovation took this place from a cosy, British-style pub to a speakeasy-style bar with plenty of character that really fits the changing neighbourhood. Food and drinks were excellent, and service was great. On a rainy Sunday, the crowd consisted of locals, nursing mothers, and individuals reading or knitting. New outdoor patio will be great in the warmer weather!

We walked by this place and thought it look great, although it was closed. We were sure to come back when it was open and we're not disappointed. The service was some of the best I have encountered. The atmosphere was great, clearly lots of locals which makes it great. The food looked good although we only stopped in for a drink.

The other guests were overly drunk and rowdy. The food and service was mediocre, it wasn't worth the wait.
