My whole family went for pedicures today. It was a nice treat before Christmas. We'll definitely be back.

Went there for a special occasion. The food, service and atmosphere were top notch. Highly recommend.

Make sure you are aware how much services cost at the spa before you give the stylist the go ahead or you'll end up paying a whole lot more than you expected! DON'T ASSUME that you are going to get a wash and style as part of your colour (roots and bang cut) when the stylist asks you if you want it. Miscommunciation costs YOU. The colour/cut was fine, I'm giving the poor rating on the fact that I spoke with the manager and there was nothing she would do about it. Just ask questions first before you say yes to something that you think is included in the price.

Excellent experience! Attended a wedding recently. The staff was very courteous and attentive, food was great with excellent presentation, and ambiance was beautiful. Will definitely be back to try out the cool outdoor sheltered patio. Looks so pretty with all the lights on at night.

I like to give great reviews to local businesses as much as possible. However, our dinner at Puddicombe House had some good and not-so-good points.

The good.arrived early for reservation and were seated immediately. Our sever was attentive and friendly. Our appetizer, a cheese and bread plate with a fancy name was absolutely excellent. My wife said her main, the curry bowl, was 10 out of 10.

The not-so-good.my $50+ steak was a big, big let down. A good piece of meat shouldn't be smothered in sauce. It should also be hot. This steak was swimming in sauce. The colour inside was a nice medium rare, but the steak itself was barely warm. The potatoes creation was hot but so crusty on the outside it definitely had a "reheated" vibe.

The biggest distraction to the whole meal was the door slamming. We sat in the front room next to the bar room, and heard the door SLAM everytime staff went to the patio. But that was still nothing compared to the bartender slamming her bar fridge shut every 20 seconds. Please, management, sit in this room and listen. The environment offered doesn't match what I think YOU think you're offering.

New Hambug has lots of good eats. I'll do the circuit again before trying Puddicombe House another.

Food was amazing at the restaurant. Great atmosphere, food and service! We will definitely be back!

Fancy atmosphere for dining. The outdoor "greenhouses" that allow you to eat outdoors even in the winter are really cool. Definitely pricey but it is high quality.

Have eaten here many times, and just hosted a work party here. All the food and drink were amazing. Communication was great for setup and easy to work with. The service was excellent. Highly recommend. Also go regularly for pedicures at the spa, and they can’t be beat. Clean and comfortable settings, and the leg massage is next level!

Went to the restaurant for a special celebration and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service prompt and courteous.

Another great evening at Puddicombe House! Both the food and service were top notch. We were in one of the ‘greenhouses’ tonight which was a fun experience. We will be back.

I attended a wedding where the service and food were excellent did not stay in the B+B part!

Had a great time for dinner! There were 8 of us in a garden gazebo! The menu is fairly extensive with a great price point considering they are casual fine dining! Great food - I enjoyed the Braised Beef Short Ribs!

Delicious food! Service was a bit slow, and the heated outdoor area promised was actually not heated and quite cold.

I didn't know about this place until I was a guest of honour at a wedding shower dinner. It's aeautiful historic home with hotel behind. We sat on the patio but the whole restaurant atmosphere is wonderful. Fantasic service; attentive, professional and personality. The portion sizes are a great value and while the menu is not huge (which is preferred) there is something for everyone. It is the perfect spot for a special occasion.

We attended a wedding here. The service, venue and food were superb! We would come here again for dinner.

Beautiful stay! Room was small but had everything we needed and was beautifully furnished!
And the restaurant downstairs is worth the stay alone! We enjoyed every minute and the staff made every interaction great!

Visited the restaurant and was disappointed in the food. Both pasta entrees were flooded with a variety of spices and tastes which were not pleasing in combination. The chorizo sausage pasta was particularly poor.

Was there for late lunch. Was very good. Service was very good. Nice place to eat outside on a nice day.

Go and eat here and enjoy every delicious homemade mouthful of local produce clearly made with care and attention to every last little detail.
Husband and I ate here after a matinee show in Stratford - just a short drive away. This was in August so we sat outside which was relatively quiet and away from cars and parking. We look forward to returning in cooler months and sitting inside in the beautiful refurbished rooms.

The meal was fantastic! One of the top 5 meals we have eaten in Ontario. The chef has wonderful talent and we can’t wait to go back.
Shared calamari - tender and a beautiful breadcrumbed coating - apple slaw with it - amazing!
Beef short ribs - perfect size - perfect everything. The details in this dish - the sweet carrot pearls like a caviar accompaniment; celeriac purée and so much more - dauphinois potatoes cooked to perfection and the beef was tender and melt in the mouth.
Also had spinach and cheese ravioli in roasted sundried tomato sauce - herbed crumb, feta cheese - so rich and perfect al dente pasta.
We had two desserts - two alcoholic drinks - and the price point for the quality of the meal was amazing.
Cannot wait to go back and experience more!

I went for Herbal Mud Wrap with Ana. It was my first visit to Puddicombe Spa. Let me tell you! I've been to many, many different spas in my life, but I have to say I was blown away! The treatment was uber relaxing, Ana was amazingly well organized, with the whole mess of full body scrub and full mud wrap, I would've been completely understanding if it was a bit 'complicated' but she made it all a breeze, and all the changes were happening at the right moment! Plus the treatment room was fantastic with its very own private shower. Loved every minute of this experience. Highly recommend Ana and Puddicombe Spa! I will be back:) :) :) :) :)

Attended a wedding here. Lovely experience! Staff was so friendly and personable. My husband was extremely late and missed everything! The staff was kind enough to put his plates aside and kept everything warm & cold for him. Simple but lovely decor in the hall. Highly recommend this place. Food for the wedding was fantastic!

I was told by my wife not to order the hamburger. This is fancy, so when 1/2 a cornish hen came out, l was not happy. The burgers at other tables looked great, I will go back to try those. Prices were not a surprise for the food and type of restaurant.

The food, atmosphere, and service at Puddicomb House is fantastic. They have a full menu that is hard to pick from - because everything looks good. It’s a local gem that we take all our friends to when they come to visit. Worth the drive from Waterloo!

Great place for a special night out or just a quiet evening. Great food and friendly and attentive staff.

The calamari app was perfectly cooked. Service was top notch. Beef rib was also incredible. Our only complaint was the t-bone was ordered rare and served well done - however, they comped the steak and gave a delicious dessert as an apology. The Cornish hen and the blueberry meringue gin also looked amazing. Would definitely return.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and were absolutely blown away. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, mains and desert were made with a lot of care and heart and you could see the locally sourced ingredients shine throughout the menu. I ordered the braised beef short ribs (pictured) and the celeriac purée and potatoes complemented the meat perfectly. The ambience of the “house” was also something that we thoroughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend as a place for celebrating special occasions

Amazing food. So many good flavours. You can tell they have a professional Chef. We enjoyed our room.

I went in for a massage for my birthday today and was so disappointed. Becky did a good job but unfortunately I had to listen to a young child screaming non stop for almost half of it. Becky was apologizing which it wasn’t her fault and I don’t blame her at all. I would think going to a spa would be relaxing but it was far from it. Just be aware they do children’s hair in the same place along with ear piercing. Hopefully it was just bad luck for me but I unfortunately won’t go back again.

Fantastic all round. Service, room, food and location perfect for a getaway. Will go back for sure.

Service was very good and friendly. The meals we tasty and well portioned. They had a nice patio area in a small green house well decorated with individual rooms with a fireplace in each and lights.

The greenhouse table experience was amazing. Great cocktails and fine dine food with casual seating.

Most Disney Land Place in the Region. Family run and proud to have them in town. Lights and Great place to meet friends. Love the coffee Black.

Great food, great service, puddi-terrible unavoidably bad ear piercing renditions of your favourite light jazz 1990’s pop tunes. The food is wonderful, the staff; just lovely. The Muzak, so so bad. Sarcastic this review is not! Really…. Really bad music. But seriously we keep going back because the atmosphere is amazing, the menu is top notch and the service is incredible. Please go…. But suggest the music changes!

Great food, great location and a cool atmosphere - Puddicombe is a date night spot. While during our recent visit in their outdoor dining the power went out, the food made up for the cold and dark.

It was an amazing experience, we being new to the area, wanted to try for the food & ambience. Also decided to host our friend, who had his birthday recently. Booked an outdoor greenhouse, was lit up with twinkling lights & had a heater to make us cozy & stay warm. Must say, food, ambience, drinks & service was superb. A beautiful surprise was the Dessert of the evening with a personal happy bday gretting scrolled over on the plate. Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful historic building. The food was excellent and our server was friendly knowledgeable and fast. Can't wait to go back.

We did a small wedding reception at Puddicombe - it was very last-minute, we had to make some pivots due to Covid. They were incredibly responsive and kind, allowed us to make some adjustments to the space, and servers who were friendly and attentive (who made sure they weren't interrupting speeches) - and some freaking amazing food, everyone was raving. Thank you Puddicombe!

My husband took me for my birthday and I can honestly say, it was the best birthday surprise. The food is just amazing!
I look forward to coming back and try a new dish!

Food was excellent. Could use more portable payment machines. Had a long wait as apparently they only have 2 for whole restaurant and spa.

Food is great, cocktails great. The atmosphere great. It is fine dining, so expect to pay for what you get. Only recommendation to the owner/manager is fix the door that slams every 30 secs. Not sure if the kitchen door or the outside door to the patio. Dining inside, it is a loud banging noise. Heard other tables complaining about it. Easy fix I would think.

We were in a clear tent outside for a family gathering in October '21. The tables were set before our arrival, drink orders were taken soon after and dinner selections were made in a timely manner. Service was fantastic, as were drinks and food! Covid protocols were followed and everyone had a great time. Thank you for the beautiful venue, live plants and delectable food! Well done!

We loved it! We had to sit outside.the heaters kept burning out but they accommodated us with no problem.

If you can, ask for the greenhouses outside staring end of October. They are your very own private dining space with heaters for the colder weather. It's a dining experience like no other!

Puddiecomb house was excellent the food was presented with flair and prestige! The service staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Quick with refills of our water glasses and soft drinks. My wife and i do not drink however the wine list was varied. As was cocktail list.

When you go be ready to spend a good hour and half. My wife had a sandwich and salad and the duck with a calabrese salad.

The Puddicombe restaurant is a must try. Not only is their food delicious, the staff are amazing. As someone with a lot of food allergies, it can be difficult to find places to eat. The staff here made me a personalized dish that fit my needs and it was AMAZING. The greenhouse dining experience was intimate and fun.
Can't wait to go again.

Ate there with some friends recently. They didn't check our vaxx passports until we sat down inside. OK, I could be a bit cautious on this stuff, and that's on me.
Then some family ate there a week later and while scrambling for their passports, the staff waved their hands dismissively and said "that's OK, we trust you". What? Everyone sitting in the restaurant is there on the assurance that the people beside them have had their vaxx proof checked.
Do it or don't, but it's not right to provide appearances that this stuff is being checked when it's not really. That's misleading.

Pasta was so fresh and delicious, so were the appetizers. Beautiful atmosphere with friendly staff. The bbq chicken pizza can be done a little bit better. Will try something else next time. Must try their cocktails!

Dined at the Puddicombe House for the first time last night and have not stopped talking about it. From the moment we arrived each staff member was friendly, warm, inviting and professional. They were able to offer elegant dining without being snobby and it was such a special evening. The food was top notch, each course being brought to us at the perfect time. Even the glassware and plates were selected with excellence. After our main course inside, we asked if we could enjoy dessert and drinks at a different table outside on the veranda and were quickly and effortlessly accomodated. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for amazing food served by incredibly talented people.

Excellent location. The buildings take you back to an earlier time.
Presentation was good, server was friendly, however the portions were on the small sidewalk. Surprisingly no bread included like most restaurants of the same caliber

Visited in a Friday night for outdoor dining. Wow! Delicious food! A bit small of portions for the price, but, worth every bit. It's not the kind of place to eat at weekly, but, definitely for special occasions. Background music was quiet and subdued. We were so relaxed that we stayed 3 hrs (we saw that there was no one waiting for a table and felt sure it would be ok). Will definitely come again.

I wish I could give this 10 stars.

My parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary tonight and loved every second of it, from the service to the food. My sister and I wanted to take care of my parents' bill, so we called earlier today and the staff set up the details without question. The server, Jill, kept it a secret all night, until my parents asked for their bill. Thank you Jill for being a total sweetheart and for making my parents' anniversary unforgettable! This spot is their new annual anniversary celebration location.

Thank you again, a million times, to Jill and the wonderful staff here at Puddicombe House. You are all amazing! Keep being spectacular xx
