This is one of my favorite Parks Canada.and I grew up out west, so that says a lot. It's magical and remote. I love the fact that it's difficult to get service on your phone. The skies are dark, and I've watched many a meteor shower throughout the years here. I appreciate that the First Nations are included in the running and decision-making for this park. There's something very special and sacred about this place.

Magnifique, très très très propre rien à redire c'est même à ce demandé s'y l'humain vie là tellement c'est nickel et le ponpon sur la cerise les chiens sont acceptés. Bravo au parc et à l'équipe.manque 2 étoiles de plus.

Crazy pretty, lots of good spots, some are close together. The store has wifi which is great cause nowhere in the park has service. Plenty of great trails for short hikes, day hikes and backpacking. I spent 3 days here and wish i had a week. (Puck-a-saw) park is awesome

I honestly do not want to share or recommend this hidden gem of a place with anyone. Lol! It is so peaceful and calming.

This national park was a must do especially for the hike to the suspension bridge. Please special note.this hike is not for the faint of heart or for people with asthma. I had to use my rescue inhaler twice, but the views are worth it!

Camping here is available but it is first come first serve for sites. Check out time is 2pm. Sites are available for RVs.

This is the great camping site with the full services available. The comfortable station is very good and clean. You will get the reasonable price during the shoulder time. And it's the very good season to pursue the fall colors. Pukaskwa coastal trail is so natural and amazing. It will take 8-9 hours to get to the suspension bridge and come back. We could not make it this time due to the rainy day. The part of trail is so rocky and slippery. It did impact our speed a lot. The trail itself can be rated as difficult as per my experience. But we will try it next time if there is another chance.

Beautiful, driftwood laden beaches.super clear, fresh water Lake Superior shores.coastal trail was more challenging than expected but we survived. Having to move our tent 3 times in the middle of a massive thunderstorm because PRH4 is planned in a basin (way to go, geniuses) wasn't a treat but I guess it's been too long since we were soaked to the bone, so we were due.

Hot showers, dish washing area, washing machines, canoe rentals, and friendly people. Definitely worth a visit.

Nicest park I have been to in Ontario. Very well maintained. Washroom and showers clean
and tidy. Staff very friendly. Sites are very nice. Dog friendly beaches!

This trail was so amazing, exceeded my expectations. There are mainly 4 trails to choose from, we tried 3. The most beautiful was the beach trail, view was?

Amazing park with great views, and varying levels of difficulty/lengths for hikes. The grounds and facilities were well maintained and clean. We went in mid May, and the weather was still a bit cold and damp. Wear appropriate hiking boots!

Absolutely a nature lovers paradise. Not crowded anywhere you explore, and even the campground seems very quiet and peaceful. Scenery is stunning and trails are awesome.

We started coming to Puskaskwa before it was officially a park and we started out backpacking for many years before we started canoeing. It was an unequaled experience. Imagine having the park almost to yourself. Now it has become almost civialized but it is still a beautiful place.

Sites are offset so you not looking at your neighbor. But they seen very narrow and not adequate for larger units. Beautiful spot too

Loved it there. Campsites where clean and well kept. All facilities where clean. Quiet and great beaches. Next time will be spending more time there.
26 November 2021 21:56
One of the best nationals parks we have ever visited.loved the granite rock hikes and the peaceful October colours. We plan on visiting more often
25 November 2021 11:21
Beautiful back country and car camping spot. Great beaches and shorter hikes for day use! 10/10 will visit again.
18 November 2021 20:51
There should be no charge just for a hike, especially since it was poorly maintained. Horrible place!
09 November 2021 11:49
Once of the most incredible natural areas we have visited. The quiet you can experience here is so incredible - it is truly somewhere you can get away from everything and experience nature’s beauty. Highly recommended.

Beautiful. The suspension bridge hike was great. Took us just under 5 hours including chill time. Camp sites were pretty private.

Save at least two days for this gem. If you drive an EV charging stations are available in the main parking lot.

// Wonderful camping, all the staff are affable and very welcoming. The pitches are well apart from the other and enjoy a good privacy. In addition, they are well leveled and large enough. There is a dump station and water for your tank right in front of the toilet block. The toilets and showers are very clean. There are many hiking trails a beach with canoes and kayaks rental. There is also a very clean laundry room.

Pukaskwa National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Ontario that I've been to in the past year.

There is brand new laundry, bathroom and shower facilities located within the park, as well as beautiful Parks Canada tents with wood stoves that I was fortunate enough to stay at during my time.
The landscape is jaw-dropping, and there is a ton of technical hikes across the area.
You will find yourself wanting to climb every rock to get a better view of the horizon (pictures not included, you need to see this for yourself.my pictures do not do this place justice) - go to the canoe rental area and find the trail behind it.

I recently spent about 5 days there in a volunteer program cleaning up drift wood on the furthest beach making a path for beach goers.

There is wifi in the information house for those who are unable to catch a signal, as well as cute souvenirs, stickers for the car and FACE BUG NETS.you will need these.trust me.
Again, my pictures do NOT do this place justice - there is WAY more to be discovered here and I normally take videos not photos.

Happy Hiking!

Pukaskwa National Park is just amazing. Their campground is a great place to stop for the night and pitch a tent.

The park has numerous hiking trails and places to canoe or kayak. For those looking to go swimming, they got several really nice sandy beaches. If only the water was warmer

Make sure you go and visit the visitors centre to see a nice display on the history of the park.

One of the most beautiful parks in Canada, certainly. See some of the oldest rock on earth, surrounded by vast wilderness. A must-see stop, only a short detour off the Trans Canada Highway.
16 November 2019 13:46
We got a beautiful campsite by the water. Unfortunately, it rained, but we still had a great time. The park is absolutely gorgeous! Would come back for sure.
03 November 2019 21:29
Campsites, bathrooms, and showers were all great. Loved walking the many beaches/shores of Superior in this park.

I only wish I had more than one day to spend here.

I got the chance to visit this magical park in the fall season with a group of 5 other friends. We fit comfortably in the Otentik & it was such an amazing experience. There is a wood stove in the tent, it kept us warm throughout the night. The only complaint I do have is that the beds are quite hard, so I would reccomend sleeping on a mat on top of the bed. Which is what me and my partner did! The two bottom bunks are spacious! The park provided the propane for ys to cook over the BBQ! It did rain so this was helpful because our fire was pretty smokey. There is a bear locker outside the otentik which i thought was a great idea! Unfortunately because it was the off season, the park guest services lounge/shop was closed. But the other amenities were still open (hot shower, bathroom, laundry). The facilities were clean! It felt so great to get off the trail and be able to take a nice warm shower (dont forget to pack your own flip flops & shower bag). I would definitely reccomend this park! The Otentiks were great! I woild definitely return, there are so many wonderful hiking trails. Be aware there is no cell phone service within the park, but I do believe that it makes the experience so much better

This place has caroling levels of difficulty and does not disappoint, almost everywhere you look there is something that is breath taking.

Went for backcountry camping at campsite CHF1 and 2. The hike to the suspension bridge was definitely moreso a moderate hike, with the first four km being harder, and the last 4 are easier with a more flat ground through a spruce bog. Site CHF 1 had decent tree coverage but limited view of the rapids. Site CHF 2 was a bit windy, but great views of the lake and rapids. The suspension bridge was well worth the trek unless you're scared of heights (like me). The bridge provides great views of the waterfall and rapids.

Highlight of 1,850 mile trip mostly around Lake Superior. This could definitely be a destination on its own. So many easy accessible hikes with stunning views. You can rent boats to use within the cove. Driftwood and rock coves are worth it. Camping facilities are well done. I wanted to wash the dishes using there great sinks with hot water and drying rack. We attended a great interpretive drum social that nicely introduced 1st Nation connection to where we were.

Small park a 15 minute drive off 17 just east of Marathon. A real hidden gem. A mix of electric and non electric sites available on a first come first serve basis, 2-3 km hikes around the Hattie Cove campground area with stunning scenery. Very secluded cove is great for paddling. Most of the park is back country paddle and hike in. North loop sites have taller trees and slightly more privacy.

Super helpful and friendly park ranger at a slice of heaven on Earth. Most hikes were good for families. Will need to return for the longer, more challenging hikes when the kids are older. ️

Great campground, clean facilities. I love the hiking trails. I didn't see any other people while I was here! Loved it ️

We stayed in an otentik for two nights. The units are still quite new and we're in very clean and excellent condition. The mattresses are very firm. BBQ was a huge asset and a wagon is provided to help move your gear. Lots of hiking nearby, nice beaches and great showers. A decent balance of access to wifi and ability to fully unplug if that's what you are looking for.

Went for the day while waiting for my BnB check in and was not disappointed. Clean, well-maintained park. The Bay Beach front was stunning and you could see straight out into Lake Superior. You can swim at your own discretion too.

Took my grandchildren for a short hike in the park, beautiful scenery. Going back for a hike to the falls. Jumped in the lake, cold but, refreshing. Had a great day and enjoyed the Pow Wow before we headed home.
