Pure Spirits

This is one of my favourite places in the distillery district. The food is delicious, and the plates are big enough to share. The service was fantastic. The host and the server were very friendly and accommodated us very well.
People think it is just an oyster bar, but it's not! They have a complete menu, love it!

The drinks were good but we were very disappointed by the mussels. They weren’t fresh nor cooked well. The manager acknowledged that they weren’t cooked good and didn’t make us pay for the mussels. Unfortunately, we didn’t want to stay to try another plate.

Slow service, and it wasn't busy. The food was tasty but not enough to fill you up. It was also expensive for what you get

This place is the crown jewel of the distillery district. Fresh oysters, incredible selection of local beer and spirits of all varieties. We had great conversations with Louis the manager and Sam, our expert oyster shucker. A truly delightful way to spend an afternoon. We will be back.

For those visiting the distillery for the first time, having lunch at Spirits is a great choice. The restaurant has a super pleasant atmosphere that reminds us of the ocean.

They have an outdoor and indoor area, but an outdoor area only in spring and summer. The service is wonderful right from the reception, the receptionist is always extremely friendly, especially if you are with children. They have high chairs for children and changing tables for babies in the bathrooms.

The accessibility of the restaurant is very good, with an automatic door to serve customers in wheelchairs and with limited mobility due to any other disability, they have tables to which it is possible to adapt a wheelchair and adapted toilets.

The menu has a great variety of items and many with many seafood items. The menu of drinks and cocktails, wines and beers also has a great variety and the prices are as expected for a good popular restaurant. It's really worth knowing!

For those going by bus, just get off at the end of the 504, which will stop in front of the distillery.

I love the food and the services.the hostess, short hair, tattoos, beautiful smile.she was so nice and welcoming.a great start to my dinner.parpadelle hit the spot. Caesar flights were great. Will be back soon!

Had the Bream - it was GREAT! The outdoor patio was very nice. Highly recommend this establishment.

We went during happy hour and were impressed with the drinks offered and the two dollar oysters.

The place is tastefully decorated and the structure of the restaurant is a long corridor with a huge bar along it.

The starters were good and varied.
The homemade bread is really not recommended, it's a kind of very hard rolls (feels like yesterday's bread) that are not really tasty.
The main dishes were good (steak with chips, bass fish dish, pasta with mushrooms and shrimps) and a good size.
The service at the place is courteous, fast and good.
The background music was pleasant and at a definitely reasonable volume.

All in all a good restaurant in the district.

Was really excited for dinner plans with our group of friends after hearing alot of great reviews of the place. Excitement was cut short upon arrival as we felt the kitchen really phoned it in as even our server (really nice gentleman) even admitted he wasn’t sure what was going on. Food was highly salty, came at different times, with one of the meals coming out 45 mins late. One of our friends ordered a trout which he was assured was deboned, however came with bones. There were other issues which I’m sure isn’t a reflection of the overall restaurant, however last night just wasnt the experience we had expected it would be.

Visiting Pure Spirits for the first time is exactly how every hospitality visit should be. This was the gold standard. Such a phenomenal restaurant with fantastic ambiance, delicious food, and incredible staff. If you have never been, what are you waiting for? Go now!

Great oysters that were reasonably priced, good vibes on the patio, and DEFINITELY try the sriracha tuna tartar

Pure Spirits used to be one of my favourite, go-to restaurants. Sadly, the service has really gone downhill. My family and I had dinner there on August 12 to celebrate my daughter turning one month, it wasn’t at all busy just a few tables including ours, but we kept having to wait for every single thing - it took forever for someone to come take our order, then the food took a good long while to arrive, we then had to wait again to get another round of drinks and by the time those came, we were nearly done with our food. We ended up skipping dessert since no one was coming to get our dessert order - I saw the waiters just standing around casually chatting with one another as we were waiting for someone to come to our table. The whole experience was unfortunately tarnished. So disappointing.

Located in the Distillery district. Great selection of draft beers and interesting menu, focusing on seafood.

Went for a beer with a friend. The bartender was nice enough to provide tasting samples for their different draft beers but none of them were really good. We didn't have food.

It's a little pricey, but it's delicious. I highly recommend trying the oysters too.

It's not the same restaurant I remember from 10 years ago that landed it into on my favorites list. Now it's become more like a bar with a basic menu: fries beer and burger style cuisine.
Not fine dining like it was before. Main menu choices are very limited and tasteless when referencing other pub like menu's. Will sadly not be returning unless the menu and quality of the food is changed back to what it once was.

Fantastic experience.
We had oysters, shrimp pasta, sea bream, and key lime pie.
Every dish was perfect and the service was excellent. 10/10 recommend

It’s a nice seafood restaurant in a great location (distillery district, great vibes). Food is generally top notch but a few misses (lobster not quite our style, fish dish was too spicy). The crab cake and steak were really delicious.
