Was building a new computer and my parts came in separate shipments, all three times I wasn't home and had to pick up at this location last week. I didn't receive a notice at the door any of the 3 days I missed the driver. My major issue is every evening after wok I went down to pick up my package there were people working the counter getting packages to people but I could hear people in the back loudly complaining about customers and using so many profanities which seemed super unprofessional, like multiple f bombs every minute. Seems stupid to just let the workers walk around the building ranting and raving about the customers who help provide business to keep them afloat and with curse words no less. Usually I wouldn't complain but all 3 days I went to receive my packages this happened, so I decided to say something.

Horrible service. My package got delayed twice then I got email stating that "Attempted delivery - receiver unavailable" when I was home the whole time. Same thing happened with me before where I had to go to their warehouse and collect it.

Delivery slip says come to Apple Self Storage 9-5. Place is locked before 4: 30 - nobody there. Unable to contact by phone either. Went to main office, told to go to Apple Self Storage. Can’t pick up parcel. If delivery driver had knocked on my door in the first place I wouldn’t need to be driving everywhere. Customer Service says it is closed Saturday even though delivery slip and door say it’s open Saturdays. Not happy I have to come back another day to see if they’re even open. Would not recommend.

The worst delivery service. So the tracking shows the expected deliver date is today, i waited a whole day nothing show up, no updates. Contacted customer service, and was told your package did not make it to the truck to be delivered because NO SPACE! What? Who decided my package was not important enough to deliver today? And the tracking update, non existence. Horrible service

"Attempted delivery - receiver unavailable" and yet no one knocked at the door or left a slip, and I watched as the driver passed by the house without stopping as I got this update.

They sent my package to an incorrect address and didn't accept it. They are the worst. Don't trust them. You can see the Purolator image to the wrong address and my home image. Same house number but a different postal code and different Streets name.
They lost my package shamefully.
It seems there is no regulation for what they do.

Dropped off 6 Amazon return items yesterday, the guy printed 6 return slips & yet managed to mess things up. Only 3 retun items were processed by Amazon. How do screw up something simple Purolator?

Over the last couple of years, Purolator has been consistent in making EVERY single delivery. The only courier service to do so.

Not posting about this one specificity but the company as a whole. Very disappointed. They froze my medication even after being told repeatedly that it was liquid. They lost it. They sent me to pick it up when it wasn't there. They don't have basic insurance coverage on any package. If I could give zero stars I would have.

I know that this place has mix results in reviews but I have used them at least 10 times and never had any problems. They actually are the only shipping place that I’ve received everything every time faster then expected.

Not very convenient for delivery if you live in an apartment complex, usually deliveries get missed without notifying and you get some sort of message to pick it up at Purolator. Inconvenient for those without licenses

Have been receiving packages from purolator for several months now. Typical process is 2 delivery attempts.

This latest shipment the second attempt was cancelled without my consent. The tracking information says they contacted me to arrange a pickup. They never called me to confirm this I can prove it. Try calling… there is NO WAY to get ahold of the Thunder Bay office. Period.

If you guys had just did what you normally do and attempted a second delivery on Monday you wouldn’t have wasted both mine and your drivers time today and tomorrow now as I have to go to keefer terminal to pick up the delivery.

Why can’t we call your office? It’s pretty unbelievable.

Counter service was slow. A few of us were nor even acknowledged when we entered, even after we rang the bell for service. "I was on the phone with my manager" was CSR response.

Don’t deal with company, they will either give you the run around about why they cannot deliver a package for the same location, I either hear our road is too steep or it’s out of their delivery zone among many others, it has to be one or the other, and if it’s out of the delivery zone then do not give other excuses on why you cannot deliver. Aswell they lie to websites who they deliver for saying they have contacted you when in reality they do not no calls, no emails, etc. In my opinion purlator does what’s easiest for them, unlike Amazon, Canada post, and ups who take the time to make sure packages are delivered safely and properly. Not only that most packages I have to pick up from the ware house, because they refuse to deliver even though we are in the delivery zone as they deliver to every road in our area but ours, and they are still damaged, how they were damaged going from a shipper, on a plane and then to purlator it’s damaged, but any other company it’s in perfect condition. Over the years of loosing money on damaged products among other problems I’m done giving purlator a chance, if I can I’m requesting shipping will not be sent through this company for my future online purchases to avoid future money loss and stress. Edit: I do not want an apology as the company apology has been the same for over 2 years but yet the training your company is saying your giving employees is clearly not working well if not at all.

If you have a choice do not use this shipment company - PUROLATOR. Customer service representatives are nonchalant and this company lie about "attempted delivery" when no one actually came to deliver your package!

This has got to be the laziest, most unreliable shipping company in the city. 90% of the time the drivers don't even bother to ring my doorbell and I've even watched them once not even get out of the vehicle though my package was said to have been 'attempted to deliver. '

It is always the greatest disappointment when I order a package and fond out that this company is delivering it. I wish you could choose who delivers it because if you could, this company would be put out of business, at least in this city.

Horrible, horrible company and I wish the worst for you all.

I cannot wait until the day Amazon allows us to directly choose our delivery service because no one will ever choose you again.

Your delivery drivers don't attempt to deliver to apartment buildings probably because they are too lazy to walk up some stairs. Complete disgrace to the industry.

Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible.

Amazon has you guys on life support.

Caveat emptor: This company will use falsified service delays to whitewash over other problems when it comes to delays in their delivery service. I've had packages 'Weather delayed' when clearly the weather was not the issue as the local forecast at the time was minus two degrees, being perfectly clear and sunny outside. I went to the local purolator depot to see for myself and the roads were free of snow and ice, as was the rest of the city. I don't mind delays, delays happen, but questionable business practices left me with the inclination to leave this review so others can be informed about these potential problems in advance.

They deliver to my place of employment multiple times a week, but needed more information to complete a delivery. READ THE ADRRESS ON THE PACKAGE.

Me and friend ordered same package same day it came on same truck from same place gets to thunder bay at 6 in the morning the "trucks" leave at 9 in the morning his goes out for delivery mine does not so I called customer service and was told well it happens yours just didn't go out cause they didn't get to put it on a truck so I told him OK but I won't be home tomorrow so can I go pick it up considering it is in thunder bay he says no so I say OK can I pick it up tomorrow cause I won't be home I got told no that I have to call them tomorrow in the middle of my shift and tell them I won't be home to make the delivery I told them makes zero sense why I can't just tell you now so I don't have to wait another day to actually pick it up.he says that's the way it works bud and hangs up terrible service terrible company ridiculous procedures

Maybe attempt to deliver the package. I had a family member watch the delivery driver stare right at her as she waited on the front steps and he drove away. If i had been able to choose the courier for my package I would not have chosen purolator. What a joke!

Just had a delivery of my package. Was home at the time and watch the driver throw my parcel up my driveway from about 12 feet to my side door.
Through it so it would slide up my drive. Very unprofessional and lazy. Walk the parcel to my door and set it down and knock on door is probably the procedure. Would not recommend Purolator to anyone. I will also let supplier know this as well.
Can't teach stupid.

Package was supposed to be delivered on Monday, instead it sat in Thunder Bay for 5 days (the city I'm in) due to "Weather Delays", there were no weather delays, in fact we didn't even get any snow or rain for those entire 5 days. It took 5 days to move a package from the Purolator Thunder Bay location to my home which is 25 minutes away

2 times in a row now, Purolator has claimed that I have given them a bad address, even though it is 100% accurate. Meanwhile, every other delivery company in town has absolutely no problem finding my house. And another time, they delivered a package to a completely different street! The absolute worst delivery service I've ever had to deal with by a long shot.

Nice to know the package I ordered that was supposed to take 2 to 3 days now has a possible delivery date of sometime within the next 3 weeks.will definitely never be using this service again.

A trace was placed on my package. I provided information regarding the package as stipulated and was supposed be contacted yesterday but have still received no notification. Still waiting for any sort of communicationupdate via email phone or even carrier pigeon at this point.

So on top of lackluster shipping it seems lackluster customer service and complete disregard to their own timelines seem to be the norm. Now awaiting February 2nd for item to be refunded by seller who will then (assumedly) apply for insurance process for lost package. Hopefully before this point I'll actually get some news regarding this package which was shipped on the 15th.

I don't want to ever have my orders delivered by Purolator. There has always been an issue every time I have an order to be delivered by them. If I place an order and see that it will be delivered by Purolator I will cancel the order.
Look at the false updates about my order. I have instructions that my package should be placed at the back door of the house. There was no attempted delivery and there is no bad weather in Thunder bay. Not even an estimated time of delivery on their website!

Just curious. Status messages indicated a parcel 'Arrived at sort facility' in Toronto 3 times on 3 consecutive days and then sat for 5 days due to 'Delayed in transit due to missed connection'. Its current (11am) status update upon the parcel arriving in Thunder Bay this morning at 8am indicates "Weather delay - service will resume, weather permitting". Hmmm? It's a beautiful day, sun is shining, clouds gently drift across the sky. Barely a breeze. Roads are clear. I assume the delay is due to a dreamy imagination stopping to smell the flowers! The true reasons are somehow not to be seen in a status update message? Again, begs one's curiosity!

Purolator use to deliver to my door. I am in a rural area. Now they usually drop the parcel off at Green Acres Variety. By the time I drive there and back I lose an hour of my life. Now I check who the carrier is and if it is Purolator I need to phone and have the delivery sent back to Thunder Bay so I can pick it up when I am in the city. I phoned Amazon.ca to ask if they can use a different carrier since I receive quite a few parcels from them. Apparently later this year (2018) Amazon is implementing a choice of carriers for their customers. I can hardly wait. I, for one, will not choose Purolator. One time during the winter they left my parcel at the end of my driveway in the snow bank! I can not see the end of my driveway from the house. Fortunately I was going out that day and saw it in the snow bank.

UPDATE: OCTOBER 7,2020
For about the past year I have had no problems with Purolator. They have been delivering right to the door and have left no parcels at the end of the driveway. Thank you Purolator.

Out of all the curriers in Thunder Bay, I’ve only ever had issues with Purolator.

I’ve had parcels delivered to the wrong address (which when confronted about the issue, they tried to accuse me of stealing my own parcel, claiming that driver was their “most reliable”, an unusual metric to measure staff on, implying that if that is the best they can do, other routes get much worse treatment), I’ve had parcels end up in limbo, just sitting at depot for days despite being express service, I’ve had parcels “undeliverable” because my location was obstructed (not even sure what that one was about, I actually watched the driver do laps of my area, it would seem he had no idea what he was doing), and I’ve had high value parcels left in unsecured common areas of my apartment building, where they could easily be stolen. One of the front end guys was also very rude to my girlfriend, which is unacceptable.

It seems to just come down to what driver you get. The one who usually does my route is just fine, and I don’t think I’ve had issues with him. But whenever it’s a different driver, issues seem to occur. Being home all the time thanks to COVID, and having my home office window face the street, I know full well when the truck comes by, so excuses really don’t fly.

I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to use Purolator, and I never do for my own personal shipping as even with bulk shipper rates they are overpriced, but unfortunately Amazon likes to use Purolator, and so I end up at their whims.

With all that said, they have still been quite reliable, it’s just when there has been issues they have been big ones that no other currier has put me through here, including Canada Post. For a period following the last issue, I definitely felt like they were intentionally being difficult with me as some attempt to spite me for contacting corporate, as more issues followed for a brief period.

Worst service ever. They lie; they called me and told me that they came to my apartment the day before and no one responded but in reality when i checked my shipment tracking it arrived just before the associate called me. And when I try calling the customer service no one answers the call even after waiting for 45 min. I don't think these people value customers and instead think we have time all day. I would have given 0 stars but we don't have that option. Save your money and time and don't order from Purolator.

I've been home all morning my package was delivered no knock on the door or ring my door bell. The box is broken snow inside my parcel! My landing and pathway is clear! No excuse! Have respect for people's stuff or may I suggest a career change. I'm not happy!

My packages are always late and often arrive broken or in poor condition. I've had 3 packages arrive in pieces, and many other arrive with the packaging scratched up and crushed.

Edit: Within the last month, I've had 4 different packages delivered, and my sister has had 2. All delivered on different days, and ALL late by at least 1 day. One of my packages wasn't even delivered, and Purolator cancelled the order. Awesome work, guys.

Horrible service. Amazon Prime Service Two Day delivery! Nope. Some construction near my house, drive could have gone around the block to get to my house, Nope. I was told that the driver could not detour off of his assigned route, so out of luck, I have to pick up my own parcel, the next day!

My fiance has ordered me a couple of packages on Amazon, I never received a slip at all about delivery and I know they don't show up to my building when they say they are or just sit in their vehicles for a few minutes then drive off without getting out. I will not be giving them my service at all if I can help it with Amazon from their terrible service if I get express shipping I should not have to wait nearly a week just to have to pick it up in the middle of no where.

Why do some Purolator delivery drivers, who encounter a security building, do not even attempt to ring a buzzer, by pressing a button on a panel. I faithfully track every order up to the latest update provided on the Purolator Web site. I know when it's on the delivery truck and out for delivery. I make sure i'm home and as I wait I listen intently for the sound of the truck arriving. At that point, I begin to venture to the front lobby of my building in order to greet the driver and receive my order. I live beside the lobby area, it's a 3 second walk: I find a delivery attempted post stuck to the outside of the lobby glass, see the truck driving away. No buzzer rang. A person living in the unit across from mine witnessed the driver get out of the truck walk to the lobby entrance and stuck the notice to the glass! Notice all pre-filled out so no delivery attempt needs to be made? Now, I don't have a driver license and now need to go the Purolator warehouse located in the middle of nowhere, in order to get my order, in which i've paid for Merchant to Customer, Door to Door delivery! This scene set has occurred several times with various drivers. Company policy?
