Purrdy Paws Pet Grooming Spa

Our adopted 17 year old cat hates traveling by car, so it's been awesome having Purdy Paws' mobile grooming team come to our house. We brought our cat to PetSmart and had a groom through them, but were poorly advised to give him a dry shampoo bath which resulted in matting. Previously, our cat was great with grooming, but became aggressive during the PetSmart groom.

Purdy Paws had to give him a lion shave because of the matting, but has helped him be receptive to grooms again. I definitely recommend the mobile service team!

Great job by Tanisha trimming my dog's nails.very caring and kind in handling her. I tend to be very cautious and was pleased with everything.

I am a senior citizen. Due to my very low income
I live in a subsidized accommodation. Six years ago I adopted a rescue cat with behavior and special needs issues. Carmella is overweight and
needs a regular assistance in grooming. Due
to my crippling arthritis I felt overwhelmed by the regular task of grooming her.
Luckily pet groomers came to the rescue! For almost four years now me and Carmella have been enjoying the expert and reliable services of Purdy Paws. Nobody else has been able to deal with Carmella in such a kind and patient way.

This is a shout out for their Feline Mobile spa service. Reliable. On time. Quick service. My cats were in and out in no time. My one cat had her hair cut the groomer did an Excellent job. Well Recommended. They come to you so you don't have to drive your animal to them. EXCELLENT SERVICE. Will use it again for sure. Thanks Girls. Photo before & after.

Took my anxious border collie to the bank location to get groomed and he came out looking adorable. They were great about his anxiety and checked in with me when I picked him letting me know how he did. The groomer that took care of him also checked in when I picked him up which was also great. Was just a really nice experience over all for both my dog and me.

Edit: have now been there 3 times, twice for a brush out for my older Sheltie. Today they did an amazing job, he needed more time and they fit him in. The groomer found two hot spots and video taped their location so that I could see where they were and if I needed a copy for the vet. They then recommended a spray for it. Again, a great experience, great customer service and my dog looks amazing.

Always get my cat, Tulip, a lion cut, or nail trim for the warmer months. I appreciate the friendly service, and how well they take care of my kitty whenever they pop by with their mobile service. I'm appreciative knowing Purrdy Paws is a trusted grooming service in the Ottawa community <3

We've taken our Golden Retriever puppy to Purrdy Paws for a bath, brush and nail trim three times now and we are very happy with the service - he looks and feels great every time.

We called for a bunny brush out and nail trim. When we arrived for the appointment they said that the staff did not feel comfortable to complete the grooming to which we understood. We were a little upset that they did not call prior to reschedule but when we arrived they were able to reschedule for another date and another comfortable groomer to which we understood. After we left, they called cancelling our appointment saying that now all staff are unable to groom our bunny. We know rabbits can be difficult but we are extremely disappointed that Purrdy Paws could not just tell us from the start. Wasted our time, our 1hour drive to and from. Horrible customer service.

They’re the best! I have a beautiful Himalayan who is hard to maintain and they come right to my house, do a beautiful job and are fast! Definitely recommend!

Seana is lovely. She has been taking care of my Japanese Spitz' beauty. He is a double coated white fluff ball that needs lots brushing and a next level bath and blowout. She is very gentle, caring, and soothing professional dog groomer. I would recommend her to anyone! I can tell she truly cares for our pets as she would her own.

Big fan of the feline grooming mobile spa. Way less stressful for the cat, convenient for me, and they handle him well.

It was our very first time with out little kat (17 years old) and they were amazing! Two nice ladies and they were gentle and kind with her. Every step they were asking us what do we prefer for her.
Ordered a mobile service. The truck was clean and quipped with everything. My cat was full of hard and stubborn tangles. Got a bath, grooming and brushing.

I submitted the online request form. Two weeks later, as I had not received an acknowledgment, I called. The person I spoke to was apologetic. As requested, I gave preferable dates for the a mobile spa grooming and was assured I’d hear back the same day. That was four days ago, and I haven’t heard a word. I’ve gone elsewhere.

*************Update- **************. Im very happy with the serviced the second time around. After the owner contacted me, and let me know reasons for the service issues, it was quite understandable for the situation that happened. No excuses were made, more information given, and honesty.
This time Sisu went in, was comfortable, and showed off when I picked him up. He smells amazing!

I tried to make an appointment for my dog, as I heard good things working in the vet industry.
Horribly organized and no communication. First appointment cancelled for Covid. Completely understandable. Second appointment, asked to come in at an earlier time then I could. Offered compromise of an hour between the 2 times. Said no they would need to reschedule to the next week in an afternoon spot. Said no, I would keep my previous appointment, but could come in as early as possible to help. Was told yes, come in at 5. I did, to see it with full house. (They had been informed my dog is reactive to others, and he needed no others in view) they said they could still take him at 5, but would have all the other dogs there, or I could come back in a hour. The whole point of an appointment time, is so you can make your own appointments around it. Which I did.
The hole experience left a sour taste. I’m very very disappointment with their service after hearing so many good things. It’s unfortunate that they can’t be trusted to have a thought to a dog who’s already nervous. Their a service for animals. Thought it would be more with their mental care in mind too. I guess I was wrong.

I must say I’m more than happy with all the experiences I had with Purrdy Paw. For the first time, I came here for a nail trimming service of my bunnies. They were really thoughtful and scheduled my appointment to 5pm, because bunnies are very sensitive and skittish, they thought a time frame that’s quieter is better for my buns. I was quiet impressed already, then they finished trimming in 5 minutes and gave me feedback on how the buns behave. Their observation was very accurate and for some reasons I was super happy that they are so observant to my buns. The second time, I brought my buns for nail trimming and my 2 months old pup for a full grooming. Nail trimming went very smoothly as the previous time. The grooming session was also wonderful, the groomer perfectly met all my requests (no hair around the butt region and easy to clean hair style). Today, I went to the second grooming session for my pup, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the groomer remembered this little pup he groomed two months ago. The pup was not as calm as the previous time, fussy and also bit the groomer, but he was really patient and took as much time as he needs to groom the pup. I’m very happy with the work he has done, especially how he scissor trimmed around the eye region, more than perfect. Before I leave, they asked how was my buns doing. Wow, they remembered my buns! I was super pleasantly surprised how personalized the service is! I’ve only been there three times for the past year and they remembered my buns and pup! I’m sorry for my poor vocabulary, I just felt very VERY happy. Thank you very much! I really loved your service and care to each pet.

We brought our two large breed rabbits here to have their first nail trim done by a groomer instead of a vet clinic. The ladies here are so lovely, and did an amazing job handling our nervous boys. We will be back for regular visits. Thank you!

I booked an appointment for my puppy’s first groom. When I got there they had him booked for a bath only. I went away without having anything groom. I’m not happy

I was really nervous about getting my cat groomed because he had several big mats. Purdy Paws mobile did a great job and I would recommend to anyone. They were quick and communication was great!

This business was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I'm so impressed with the professionalism and the different packages available for the different needs of our pets. We were so lucky to have Tanisha take care of Mr Muggs and a special needs.

They took great care of her, and she came home smelling amazing. They even put cute little bows in her hair! This company is never on time. They show up at whatever time they please and they never respond in a timely manner. Save yourself your time, money and your patience and look elsewhere for a more professional service

Used their mobile service today for my 4-year-old cat that has never had grooming before. Though I tried couple of times with other groomers, no luck, non of them were able to handle him. It only took the mobile service half an hour to fully completed the job, and I received a clean, new cat lol. Would highly recommend their services.

We have had Purrdy Paws Mobile Groomer to our home twice and we are extremely satisfied with the level of service provided by Mr. Alberto. Our dog is very nervous and he takes the time to put her an ease. When he is finished she looks like a whole new dog. I would highly recommend this service

Amazing staff that are the only people who can trim our dogs nails. Their phone etiquette and organization can use some work but they’re busy so can’t knock them too hard. Will drive across town to give them patronage.

I was supposed to have an appointment at 11: 30 today but its past 12 and I haven't heard anything about it. Made the appointment online and over email.

I’m so happy I found them. I have a difficult cat and need two people to have her groomed. The last place I took her they would not do it. I walked out in tears because she was matted. Purdy Paws even sent me a video of them shaving her and said that she wasn’t difficult at all. She even had a bath…. Lol. I just hope my cat behaves herself in the up coming groom.

We booked our pup for a nail trim last week and it was so easy!
The groomer took time to get to know our girl and said as we bring her back she would work her up to a nail grind. I Like that they took small steps with her and didn’t force her to do something she was afraid of.
We will definitely bring her back!

My bunny needed her nails trimmed they did a great job and faster than I expected them too. We'll be back when her nails grow out again. I would have liked to watch but understandable to keep distance with Covid. Maybe in the future I'll be able to see how they did it so quickly and efficiently but in the meantime I'm just happy my bunny has short nails.

Just had our first experience with Purrdy Paws: specifically their mobile grooming service. We had them groom 2 of our cats (1 medium hair, 1 short-haired chonk) and they did a fantastic job. The medium hair cat, Barbara, is generally quite anxious and difficult to groom, but the crew in the van are pros. Barb had a few nasty knots and and some caked on grossness around her behind - all very tender spots to say the least! She came out of the van looking clean and relaxed. Despite never being groomed professionally before, she was back to her regular self almost the moment she was released into freedom back in the house.

Both cats look and smell great!

ONLY reason it wasn't 5 stars was they were about 45 min late getting here but I imagine it's challenging to schedule multiple appointments throughout the day and stay on time! Also, small price to pay for not having to travel with 2 cats.

We will definitely be using this service again.

Purrdy Paws is an amazing place to take your pets, one of my chihuahuas has severe anxiety and they were so good with her. She was comfortable and felt safe, I would recommend them to all pet owners!

Super friendly staff, the salon looked well maintained and the staff seemed knowledgable. Very impressed and looking forward to doing business with them!

They book appointments months in advance. They call you at the worst times during the day and if you don't answer you're missing your appointment. They also never answer the phone, and when they do it's obvious that the don't like their job. I could deal with the rude "receptionist" over the phone, but if you're going to book appointments just to not show up, and then have the audacity to say that I "missed" the appointment, what's the point? Will be going back to the vet for nail trims now. Cheers,

I don't feel anxious about leaving my little Stella in the hands of the groomers! Highly recommend Purrdy Paws!

The mobile service staff are very efficient and great with my cat, but both times I have used the mobile grooming service they have been upwards of 30 mins late. There’s no way to contact the mobile service, so when they’re running late you have to wait for them to call you. I spoke to the staff about it and the only explanation is the appointment before me ran over, but over 30 mins of waiting and having my cat wait in her crate is pretty frustrating.

Kind and efficient groomers took care of my cat and his too much fur! He came back to us soft and shedding less - which was very helpful for the recently diagnosed cat allergy in the house. Monthly grooming with Purrdy Paws is going to keep everyone happy!

Blatant discriminatory behaviour towards a visually disabled senior and service dog.

Derogatory attitude, she didn't know the meaning

Condescending, belligerent, even combative, over talks you, argumentative.

Won't be returning.for discriminatory business practices,

and wow, $105 for a quick cut! Outrageous, and not worth it.

But sadly, this service provider has not heard the last from me.

If i could put 0 stars i would. They didn't listen to what we requested and trimmed our cats' whiskers, throwing them off and putting them on edge all day. Don't recommend if you love your pets.

It has been almost a week since my cat got groomed and I still can't believe how amazing he looks. The attention to detail is on point. The best part was that he didn't come back all scared and went right back to doing his regular cat things. I highly recommend.

I had a very bad experience with Purrdy Paws ''Spa''. They cut my cat while removing his hair and he is now traumatized by grooming. Then they were extremely rude. I won't recommend their services at all to anyone.

Amazing job. My GSD never felt so soft until she went to this place. The staff were lovely and the place was well organized and clean. I recommend bringing your fur baby here to get pampered. Thank you for treating my GSD with love!

I was very concerned as a cat owner without a car when my boy wouldn't let me near his nails. Having Purrdy Paws come right to me is incredible. They have been very understanding when he's been anxious to get in his carrier, and have given me tips on how to make it an easier time for the both of us! Pricing is amazing for the service.

They are so amazing and honestly I made a scheduling error on my two dogs and their nail appointment, They literally didn't even care that it was my mistake and they apologized for me and offered to do my dogs for free for the inconvenience, This was all unnecessary as it was my scheduling error and not theirs, but that really was soo sweet of them to do! Soo reliable and wonderful customer service highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Purrdy Paws yesterday, when I brought my dog, Finlay, for his first visit to a groomer. Finlay is very nervous about being handled, but Alanna was very caring and compassionate and gave him lots and lots of TLC. From the waiting room, I was could even see him looking calm and happy as he was being groomed. And he came out looking fantastic! Thank you, Alanna!

These guys are absolutely the best groomers I have ever used by every conceivable metric. I tried them for the first time approximately 3 years ago for my 8 year old female tabby and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since.

They were all extremely professional and above all compassionate and patient. I have what some might call a “difficult” cat with behavioural issues / rescue. For this reason I’ve been to many different groomers and I finally found what I was looking for at Purdy paws.

They (the staff) are not simply employees on the clock like at some places but rather animal lovers themselves with years of experience both as pet owners and industry professionals within the veterinary network.

For these reasons I came to have great peace of mind and found even my cat actually warmed up to her regular appointments and became significantly less nervous over time as they built a rapport with her.

The value is incredible and so is the quality of the lion shave, nails, bath combo. You’ll be glad you came here, I’ve referred three people within my family already.

These ladies are top notch! They took care of PudgeMaster Ricky the cat like he was their own. His nails look great, his fur smelled awesome and his dirty, clumpy bumbie came back looking fresh new and pink lol! He wasn't even stressed out one bit!

I went to Purrdy Paws for the first time to get my mini-schnauzer groomed. To say that I am pleased is an understatement. From start to finish a high quality and customer focused experience. The booking was excellent - their receptionist personable, caring and very responsive both on the phone and in person. I actually got a cancellation which allowed me to get in earlier than originally booked. I explained the kind of cut I wanted and they delivered. My dear little girl looks so good and her grooming is beautiful - exactly as I envisioned. Emily was lovely with her and my dog left in a calm state - looking and smelling beautiful. I highly recommend their services - worth every penny. Thanks for an excellent job.

My dog is a senior of 15 years old, so as you can imagine he needs assistance getting in/out of the vehicle. As his vet had no spots for a nail trim I decided to try out Purrdy Paws as they were very responsive and got me a next day appt with Alberto, as I had mentioned to them, Tyson would need assistance getting into the vehicle. Alberto knew exactly what he was doing and went above and beyond to help Tyson with his poor balance on the grooming table. I highly recommend them and couldn’t be happier with their services.

I didn't actually attend Purrdy Paws in person, but intend to in the future! I've been home-grooming my little girl since the pandemic hit but I've always been so scared to do her nails. Of course they grew out of control and I'm not sure how she managed it but she broke one. When I called Purrdy Paws to ask advice the woman I spoke with was amazing. She suggested I contact my vet to see what he recommended. Which I did and ended up taking her to the vet to have all of her nails did ;)

The reason I'm all-in with these guys is because it's not just about business, they really care about our babies!

We took our 11-month-old English cocker spaniel to Purdy paws today for her first all-over trim. She's been at home with us since last August, so there was separation anxiety on both sides when we dropped her off. Shawntel did an excellent job. She was welcoming and reassuring when we handed Jackie over and did a great job on her cut. Our once shaggy puppy now looks like a noble hound with clean lines, tidy paws and just enough leg frill to look like a proper Spaniel. Shawntel put Jackie so at ease, she even bestowed a few kisses. Not only does she look great, she smells fantastic. Even our cats can't stop sniffing her. Great staff, great service, we'll be back!

They are awesome.usually I get the mobile so for my dog but this time I went to the bank street location and they are awesome. I highly recommend.

I cannot be more satisfied with the feline mobile spa service. It was worth the extra money that other places cost. I called and got an appointment immediately and they answered all my questions. They are reliable and arrived on time. They were gentle with my two cats, and they like their new haircut. It was their first time to be groomed by someone else (I groomed them once before but I could only do their backs, and it took several hours). It is very convenient since my cats get stressed by travelling in a car.

My little Yorkie has been nipped by other groomers and is always so nervous going in to get a haircut. They were able to keep him almost completely calm and clean up his fur better than its been in almost a year! They also ground down his nails so short he doesn't click, even though it had been a while since the last nail trim. Amazing job, such friendly and respectful staff, I had full confidence they were taking care of him the whole time, and it wasn't overly expensive either.

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences at Purrdy Paws. Thank you Morgan & Alina for taking great care of my 15 year old girl, Marley! I know she's not an easy pup to groom since her old age makes her quite crusty, but your patience and attention to detail does not go unnoticed.

Horrible grooming at the highest price in the city with an extremely rude owner who associates with very questionable individuals in this city (known hate criminals).

20lb dog came out to almost $200 for grooming last time, and it was a horrible job. They claimed matting yet I had personally ensured my dog did not have a single mat on its body that morning with a thorough brushing and inspection (as Purrdy paws is well known for quoting one price and charging double claiming your dog was matted).

Worst "groomers" you'll find in Ottawa, you're better off grooming your own dog, even if it takes several hours. Owner is one of the most difficult, condescending, outright rude and horrible people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, who also goes to post private emails to Facebook groups in an attempt to shame former clients for legitimate concerns instead of acting like normal human beings.

Just stay away from this place.

Edit: this place claiming fake reviews is the same as Trump claiming fake news or election fraud - yeah they’re on THAT level. Stay away from this dump, at best your wallet and dog will be hurt.

Edit 2: also be aware that they purposefully breach federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and illegally post customer information on the internet, exposing their customers to hate crimes. Reported to Office of the Privacy commissioner and as I advised them of the report (as is my responsibility), they threatened to call the police for criminal harassment. ‍️ of course, I encouraged them strongly to call the police as it will be much easier for me to get the story straight legally if she provides all her info first. But all good.the Federal government will shut you down any minute now.

We have both our little guys groomed by the mobile service. Awesome service! Always listen to instructions and have always taken health care needs of both pups. We have been getting services from Purrdy Paws for over 4 years!

We went here for a full groom of our 12 year old husky mix. Once we got home we noticed that three of his paws were bloody. We called them and we were blamed for it. They said it must have happened on our way back from the groomer. The picture clearly shows that the nail clipping was butchered. Horrible Horrible people and customer service. Shame on you for hurting a senior dog like this! Stay away!

I called 5 days ago and was told I would receive a call back. No call back. I sent email through Facebook and filled out an appointment request online. No response. I called again today, and I was on hold for 10 minutes. I have a cat who is having trouble walking and I'm fine with waiting a few days but if you can't even give me an appointment, then jsut say you can't handle. Today is Tuesday and I booked with a different mobile groomer for this Friday afternoon. So clearly, I won't be booking with Purrdy Paws again.
