I just picked my dad up from across the street from the hospital. It seems they let vascular dementia patients who need a walker just walk out the door in the dead of winter…
Just go to Belleville don’t bother going here for anything.
24 year old male Treated like an unwanted parcel when I arrived by ambulance to this hospital by the emerge nurse on december 27th evening shift. I waited 35 minutes for an ambulance with the hospital being 5 minutes away. After explaining I had just had 2 open heart surgeries (aortic heart valve replacements back to back within a month at another hospital) and was experiencing recurring problems, The on duty nurse treated me very poorly and was constantly on her phone rather than dealing with the patients she was so distracted by her phone going off that I was given medication and it was not recorded to my chart while I was incoherent so it was unclear what I had received when I arrived at the Ottawa Heart institute by ambulance later that evening. Also the on duty staff needed to do bloodwork before proceeding further due to not being sent test results. The doctor on staff kept cutting me off and did not allow me to speak. I was to be air lifted to ottawa as requested by my previous ottawa surgeon however The trenton staff refused to contact the Ottawa Heart Institute for my transportation until late hours of the night (about 6 hours passed) and as a result I had to drive a very painful 3.5 hours in an ambulance and didn't arrive to Ottawa until 2am. Very happy with ottawa hospital as i would be dead if I was left in the hands of the trentons melpracticed doctors and nurses.
IF YOU VALUE YOUR LOVED ONE'S LIFE DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.
Im Disgusted with Trenton Hospitals Profesionalism.
The fact that your rating is 3 out of 5 is a little surprising. I would have put it lower. Listened to ER staff discuss minivan vs SUV and mortgage payments for over an hour. No indication of when a Dr would be able to see me. Charge desk was a break room. Six staff in a circle chatting.
Family member was in there after being in a car accident, nurses didn't even look him over. We got them home and we were cleaning open wounds and pulling glass and metal out of their head and other body parts. Disgusting how they were treated.
If a doctor orders bloodwork while at hospital, nurse should be in the area to do the blood work. Not in another area, while people are waiting. Only coming back to office when an appointment is scheduled.
I had an appt for a memmogram today January 24th at 10: 55 I arrived 20 minutes early but was waiting in the wrong waiting area. The lady doing the memmograms was not very pleasant at all assuming that I was late which I wasn't. She asked me question and I didn't respond the way she liked so she was rude again.
Looking at my daughter I'm immensely grateful for this skilled doctor! Yes 3 years later gratitude and appreciation is still there!
You can't see where this is happened to our youngest now because of Dr. Aleykina's brilliance and skilled hands
Below is the review and most of the story of how she got stitches just before starting her SK year of school. She is now in Grade 2
_
Back in the end of August of 2019 my the 4 year old daughter met Dr. Aleykina at Trenton Hospital after having gotten a deep cut to her eye brow while she was playing at a nearby campground playground. Dr. Aleykina stitched her up, and had wonderful bedside manor. I vividly remember her looking me in the eyes and telling me this is how she would want this done if it was her child, and to trust her.
My family doctor was so impressed with the stitches. Six months later you would have to look to see the mark left. Today, I looked for it and couldn't find any sides of that emotional evening her brow.
Thank you so much Dr. Aleykina for your skill and knowledge because of you being there our beautiful daughter has no scar!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The Kollarik family from Bowmanville, ON
I just want to give a shout out to the amazing staff at TMH! Sending out my gratitude and sincere thanks ️. My daughter has a medical condition and has been in and out of hospitals for the last 4 years and I can say, hands down, the staff that took care of her tonight at TMH were amazing! This was the best experience we've had to date in any hospital. The ER at TMH is slammed and behind, but they all took the time to listen and understand. Everyone - from the security guard, to triage to our Dr and nurse - greeted us with a smile and friendly demeanor. Thank you for all your hard work!
Dr. Bell and the resident doctor that was present were both fabulous today! Their bedside manners were amazing and they both made me feel at ease with my 14 month old daughter. They were thorough, caring and also got to us quickly! Such a pleasant surprise when you're a scared mama with a sick baby. My husband and I were very impressed and are very appreciative.
Went in for Day Surgery. My intake nurse Brittany was very friendly, taking down my info and answering of my concerns along with others before my surgery. The recovery room nurses were very attentive and looked after my needs. The Administration can be very proud of their staff. Oh! And Dr. Woods fixed me up real good too.
The staff is friendly and its a clean hospital but that's about it. My mom almost died a few years back, went in wheelchair bound unable to eat or it would come out her nose and ears, her voice completely changed and they said it's anxiety. Then I think, if it was anxiety why wasn't more help given? No birthing or dialysis options.
Don’t waste your time. I went in to emerge with issues breathing. Waited 5 hours for the doctor to tell me to take a Tylenol. SERIOUSLY? ! Then I paid $12 for parking. FOR NOTHING!
I hate going to the hospital but if you're in physical distress where do you go? Arrived at 11: 30 a.m. Waited 5 hours to get in back. Froze in a tiny treatment room waiting for blood tests and X-ray results. No doctor to speak of just some rude little guy I'm guessing was a doctor? No name or intro. Long story short I got up and left at 9: 30 p.m. 10 hours, issue unresolved! Do not go to TMH go to Belleville, Picton or even Cobourg before wasting your time at Trenton.
Went in with numbness in my hands and feet parts of my face thinking heart related waited for 6 hours to be seen. I went in at 9 pm 4 am in Er 5 am when I got home. I put 2 chairs together to sleep pulled a blanket off stock cart. Pinched nerve near my shoulder. This place is nothing more than a band aid hospital.
I just got back from using the ER at QHC. It took a while. But that's expected considering the doctor shortage in the area. But Everyone there was professional. I had a few test done which was well organized and done quickly. The doctor listened while I explained my issues. Did a thorough check on me. Dealt with my issues and answered all my questions. Also discovered another problem After an EKG that I didn't know I was having, and can hopefully nip it at the bud! Thanks to everyone there!
This is the worst Hospital ever. I arrived at the at 9: 30 am. It is now 3: 07 in the afternoon. I still here with no Signs of even see a doctor. I have been in serve pain all day. They have not offered anything to-easy the pain. I most comfort I have been given is a blanket, and I’m sure that was only given to me, because I was turn blue.
I was admitted to Emergency on Mon. June 7th @4: 00 p.m. The Resident Dr. Chan was attentive, caring, and informative. He ordered tests to assist in forming a diagnosis and stayed in touch with my husband as well as following up with our family doctor and a neurologist. The nurse who attended me, Jen, was lovely and also informative. My overall experience with the staff was excellent. Thank you for your care. Herdis
If you need to go to emerg but can make it to Belleville, I highly recommend you do that and save yourself the agony. Nurses care more about their lunch orders then their patients.
So I have had a lot of bad experiences at Trenton hospital. A lot of there doctors and nurses lack compassion and or empathy. Specially if you have a mental health illness. I have seen almost every doctor at this hospital. However yesterday morning around 2am Doctor Heseltine (Michael) really restored my faith in Trenton hospital. He walked in and did his job, I could tell he cares about his job and has a lot of passion for what he does. Honesty I was in shock because most of the doctors come into the room for maybe 1-2 mintues and leave but he was able to do his job and still be efficient. Thank you for being the kind of doctor we all need and the nurse that night was very sweet. It was nice to feel cared for and honestly some doctors/nurses need to remember we all have family's and how would you treat your family member if they were sick or hurt?
Rating this low because on a daily Basis this hospital does not care about their patients. I also waited 9 hours.
Listen, usually this hospital is great but you seriously need to teach your triage nurses some etiquette. The last two times I have been hear the triage nurses has said some pretty rude things. I am pretty sure I understand the risks of covid and know when my daughter needs to come to get examined. Quick service but poor manners.
Total lack of communication on the second floor. They've lost my husband's clothing at least 2 times in the past few weeks. Apparently it's a communal laundry room that puts everybodys clothing and whatever else they wash and his clothing has not been returned in a timely fashion or completely lost! Then I went to try to see my husband the other day just after lockdown was in place. The screener phoned up to the second floor and someone told her that I wasn't allowed to see him unless he is in pallative care. I'm his designated cregiver, but was not issued a caregivers package yet and I'm in the system. Go figure that one out! Now I got a call tonight from the second floor and I was informed that I can see him since I'm his caregiver. It's so confusing. Other issues as well but I won't get i to that. Trenton, get your act together!
Every time I come here it takes forever to be seen whether it's busy or not. They stick you in an examination room and forget about you for 2 hours. If it wasn't urgent we wouldn't be here and would have left a long time ago. They don't seem to see people based on their condition.
On a side note: When you do get seen by the doctor's and nurses, they are very nice and take your concerns and treatment seriously.
Rude lady on the phone spoke with a cold demeanour and simply said “No? ” When I inquired about covid information. You serve public health and if you can’t help the public so simply, why does your employer have you? Might as well shut down and refer to Belleville.
TMH.hmmmm.not impressed at all by the attitudes of the medical staff (ie. ER). Some are very professional, caring and pleasant while others are very belittling and rude. I would expect that ALL staff should have the same professional and genuine compassion for the sick and injured.one should not have to roll the dice and hope that one gets a shift with staff who like their jobs and what they do. These people are suppose to be the HEROES right now. WELL.most heroes I know.are humble and genuinely care for the people they are helping/serving.they don't and wouldn't stomp on top of them and wipe their feet on the dignity of that sick and injured by making them feel inferior. PS: I do want to mention that there are some staff and departments that this doesn't apply to.but it only take a few bad apples to spoil the barrel for the others.
I have extreme Gerds Had worst attack in twenty years, burning throat, esophagus etc. My experience 8/10x will get a Dr.that treats me with no respect, not reviewing notes, specialist reports etc. This time was one of the best experiences in life with Dr. White on duty in ER. Between Dr. White, the lab techs and the Nurses, they calmed all symptoms down in the most caring, compassionate and professional manner, that I want to say THANK YOU, for caring about me. Dr. White you made me believe again that there are Dr’s who choose this career because they genuinely care. Wish she was a GP
Unprofessional Drs after 4 hours of waiting the DR was shearing his life story on the phone for 2 hours while I’m waiting for him to write me a prescription and they way the talk to the patient is unprofessional that’s so sad
I have been dealing with relentless health issues since October and unfortunately.during that time I have been to many hospitals including Cardiologists in which my case has been overlooked which is understandable considering other people and the severity of their health. HOWEVER, tonight at Trenton Memorial I was taken seriously and for the first time I felt heard. Thanks to staff and Dr. Harrison Bishop in particular for being so awesome and helping me get to the bottom of things, it really means a lot that he took the time to answer ALL of my questions. ️
Totally beside myself. Was here recently and prescribed medicine for elbow injection. Came back 2 weeks later with medicine and nobody has experience to do injection. I guess I shouldn't be surprised knowing this hospital is on it's way to closing the doors.
Spent some time here today in the emergency dept.and the staff were amazing! We were sent to BGH for a consultation and the staff there were also great!
THANKYOU SO MUCH TO THE CARING STAFF AT TRENTON HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM FOR THEIR WONDERFUL CARE DURING MY RECENT VISIT THERE. WISH I KNEW THE NAME OF THE EXCELLENT FEMALE DOCTOR WHO TOOK CARE OF ME. THE NURSES AND AND TECHNICIANS ARE ALSO VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THOUGHTFUL.
Actual surgen was brutal. Bumping friend who none of the other staff even knew about for surgery with add on that were asked for. Nurses were great tho, hospital staff was good.
Outstanding service from the minute I walked in. Everything so well marked for easy locaton of the area you are looking for. I basicaly walked in and didn't even sit down when my name was called. Super friendly staff so comforting. Kudos to the staff that helped me through my hernia surgery on may 3rd at 1pm. Thank you so much.
Phenomenal service and care from TMH staff. As I came via ambulance, the testing was quick and efficient and I was shipped off for surgery at BGH within hours. Staff were friendly and caring during my entire stay at TMH.
Dr. Hall is a fantastic doctor and the nurses are wonderful. I received great care. Dr. Hall is compassionate and really cares about his patients. The nurses are very nice and treated me very well.
