This is by far the most inaccurate, unprofessional, unreliable and dishonest shipping service we’ve ever dealt with. My mom shipped our items with this company since last September and she only received it 2 weeks ago. When she asked about her shipment they purposely withheld her items and refused to release it. She was stuck with paying over $500,000 Guyana dollars in storage fees.

Please be aware. These people don’t care about your stuff. They do not respect your time nor the money you spend on shipping fees. Your items reaches whenever it reaches. They don’t care about you.

We will never ship with them again. They are very unreliable.

I just used this company to ship a barrel to Guyana, and we're extremely disappointed in the results.

First, the good. The price was competitive, and the pickup service from our apartment in Vaughan was excellent. The staff were helpful, professional, and worked in a timely manner.

The second the barrel left my sight, however, this company changed completely.

We shipped in January, with the expectation that it would be received in Guyana in mid March. Fast forward to mid April, and my family has only now received the barrel and contents.

We have called them so many times inquiring to the whereabouts of the barrel, and the status, only to receive excuses non stop. First, they are unable to deliver the barrel (even though we paid a fee for door to door service). Then they are short staffed. Then they cannot locate the barrel. Then it is held up in customs. Excuse after excuse, with no end in sight. Then, my family should pick up the barrel. We've received so many mixed messages and this is totally unacceptable. Finally, in the end, they agreed to deliver the barrel.

Very very poor service. I cannot believe the amount of time spent on the phone dealing with these people, both in the Canada office and the Guyana office. In 2023, this should not happen.

We have used other companies before, and will take our business back to them. You truly do get what you pay for.

Shipped 2 barrels recently and arrived within the 4 to 6 weeks to guyana. The amount of stuff stolen from it was ridiculous and the carelessness in repacking was worse. I wouldn't recommend this company. First and last time.

They offer to deliver empty barrels to your home without additional charge, and there shipping prices aren't expensive, there reasonable people as well.

This company is no good! Always use Tennessee or frieght plus! It might cost you a few dollars more but trust, it is worth it. They are reliable and your shipment will reach in a reasonable time. The customer service is HORRIBLE, they're not apologetic, no remorse, they're upset about the complaints i brought to them and gave attitude, no solution or compensation was offered. The worker threatened to try use her "power" to put the barrel on hold. (that's bad for business. Barrels are already late and you're threatening to hold them longer) Psssh NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS COMPANY! NEVER!

Lady called Shiela is extremely pleasant, helpful and patient.
A male person who answered the phone, presumably her senior by the arrogance in his voice, needs to realize that picking up the phone and answering, is providing a customer service experience. He needs to work on his lack of CSR skills.

Company is bad only issue is when I’m trying to talk to someone no one picks up the phone. I’ve been calling for the last two weeks 2 - 3 times a day & no one picks up & the one time I get someone they tell me to call back bc they can’t track my shipment.

The service is very bad.it took almost 3 months and as of now my relatives didn’t receive their barrels.
Ever time I call they keep telling me to call another day for info. Per the office in Canada my barrels was in Guyana since April 30th

Really bad experience. Items sent Nov 2021 and up to this day March 31/22 we cannot get our items from the receiving port. Absolutely no one reach out from qtrex to give some information about the items sent. Today I have to pay extra money to extend flight after the individual spent 3 months in the receiving country Jamaica. Completely ridiculous and disappointing.

I have been shipping with Qtrex for a number years now, Despite Mr. Hardat was sick today he was very helpful and updating on me on my shipment. His phone lines was down in Guyana that's why my family wasn't able to contact the Guyana Office. My barrels are always intact and the service have been quite outstanding. Qtrex has had an genuine interest in the people they serve- Locally and Internationally- Keep up the good work Qtrex!

We have always used Qtrex to ship our itmes overseas to Guyana. We shipped during the Christmas holiday of 2021 and all of our items reached their destination safe and sound as always!

Have dealt with them on a couple of occasions sending goods to Guyana. Very friendly and helpful. Hardat and his associates helped us through the process and their price was reasonable. We appreciated the explanation of services and safe wrapping of our goods. Would recommend them to anyone wanting to send to Guyana as he also has his own delivery people in Guyana.

To much hustler at the waves, the workers beg to be paid twice to do their job. Not coming back for nothing - pick up barrel from my house, stole the money for the barrel, and want to say they never did take the money. Real THEIVES! I Called to asked if my barrels were shipped. The person that answered the phone said that information is in the paper works and he is not looking for none because it is too much work.

My sister shipped with them to Jamaica and didn't get over 50% of her items and they won't respond to her calls when you call them they don't know the boss name so that speaks volumes

Our family decided to ship some barrels to our relatives in Guyana and based upon a recommendation of a friend we decided to use Qtrex International, upon arrival at the warehouse we were met with Mr. Rambarrand the owner who was very warm and friendly, he took care of our business and upon completion we had a brief discussion with himself and some more of his friendly staff, as someone transacting business for the first time with this company, I would personally recommend Qtrex International for your shipping needs to Guyana and the wider Caribbean

I just called Q-Trex to inquire about barrels sent to Trinidad. On the other end of the phone was the most friendly and professional guy name Edward. He put my mind at ease and assisted me. I was very happy with the service i received from him.

Horrible service. Wouldn't recommend. If I could give less than 1 star I would, but it appears that the lowest you can give here is 1 star. Where do I start? First of all, these people don't know anything about customer service! They deal with you dreadfully and don't even answer the phone! I sent a barrel to Jamaica and when it arrived at my family's home, there were things missing! When I called multiple times to find out what happened to my things that I sent to my family.they told me they don't know that they're talking about. I came to the conclusion that these people opened up my barrel and teef out some ah mi tings dem! If you can find another company, please do.or you'll end up in my position.

Qutrex international is one of the best shipping company.their customer service is great. Reliable and efficient.the fees to do a name change were waived it was a fee of 30.00canadian dollars. I would most definately recommend this shipping company.

In March 2021, I shipped a motorcycle with Qtrex to Guyana and on the 14th of July, 2021 my relative got a call from Qtrex to pick up the motorcycle. Upon inspection, they noticed the right side indicator on the motorcycle was broken because the motorcycle shifted in the box. I didn’t purchase any insurance with Qtrex but I am thankful that the owner of Qtrex refunded me the full amount for indicator. So, with no hesitation, I would like to say thank you Qtrex for your service and for taking responsibility over my product. I really appreciate your time and the great attitude when I brought this issue to your attention. I will definitely continue to ship with your company.

The Manager was generous with his time to help me find a small barrel and charged very minimal price. He let me know that he will ship the barrel to Trinidad at a very low price if used his service which I did. When I returned a week later, he sealed the barrel and kept his word on the shipping price. There are very few honest business people around anymore, so I appreciate your honesty and great customer service.

This is my worse experience I ever have from a shipping, I send 4 barrels full to the brim, when I send them off, these guy take 2 and a half months before I get my barrels, when I finally get them, only to find out that I get 4 of my barrels half, these guys take out almost half of each one of that barrels of food, they take whatever they want and put back whatever they don't want as if it's there own, am so disappointed, I will never ship with this company again, all if it's my last resort, I prefer don't ship. How can u send your barrels and these ppl went into your stuff without u even there, when my relatives when to pick them up they already went in and take out whatever.if anyone planning to ship with these unprofessional people please think twice.

This place is not a place anyone should ship with, these people went into your barrels that u ship take out all your expensive food and supplies that u send for your love ones, and put whenever they dont want bk into the barrel, I find the is so unfair for me and unprofessional for a company.how someone can do such thing. I had 4 barrels picked up in late January 2016. I was told the shipment would arrive in 2 weeks, When the barrels did not arrive as told. I called to inquire about the delay in arrival of shipment was extended to 4 weeks. The goods have arrived in Kingston, Jamaica on February 19. To date the goods have not being received. I have made numerous calls to the company and spoke to several people including the owner/manager. My family has paid the agent in Kingston in advance and sent me a copy and to the manager. From a third party inquiry the consensus is. " Qtrex has not paid the shipping line so the container with customer goods can't be processed". I feel I was duped by this compnay and this company should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. If the delay in processing goes much longer,
I will be seeking the advise of an attorney if my goods are not released,

UPDATE: Unfortunately the shipment is taking approx 10 weeks to arrive. This was unexpected and I would expect a bit more accountability and accurate info on shipping time as I was expressly told 3-4 weeks, then up to 6-7 weeks or less which I deemed acceptable. Value for the money but there is a lack of expertise in knowing their own shipping windows. Worth choosing them if you do not expect the noted delivery date to hold and can wait longer.
ORIGINAL: As an airline pilot with T&T/BIM heritage I appreciate the amazing shipping offer made by Qtrex in this difficult time for St. Vincent with a very low flat fee of $50 to 55 no matter the weight. It was a very easy drop off. A family business, all were helpful and accommodating. I have relatives devastated by the volcano erupting daily in St. Vincent and Qtrex has made it easy with their special offer. Please bring your items and pack there if it will be heavy. Feel free to look me up to confirm my review as reference.

This company isnt worth anyone time. The owner insists on name calling and holding people belongs against there will until you delete you review against him and thinks its funny. He held on to the barrels for 3 months and refused to release it. On top of that he like to put people address and private information on the internet for everyone to see. When supporting black businesses we understand that things happen and things do get delayed with the situation we have been in years but sometimes you have to know how to talk to people and be professional. One thing that will make me never use this company or recommend this company will be the fact that the owner too time to call us and call us out of your name like we didn’t pay for a services that wasn’t completely. APRIL 24 2021 is when I shipped my 3 barrels with his company for my family and my son that is leaving for Jamaica on the 3rd of July 2021 and ALL NOW THE BARRELS CANNOT REACH!
Excuse after excuse with no real definite answer as to where my 3 barrels are. As i write this review I’m being held on hold while the feisty girl whom answered my call sounds irritated that i’m not impressed with the lack of information they choose to give me regarding my goods. This is the first time and for sure the very last time i ever use this company and they should be more respectful to they’re poor communication skills. I’m feeling so belegerant right now. NOW INSTEAD OF LETTING ME KNOW WHERE MY BARRELS ARE HE CALLS AND ARGUES WITH ME AND NOT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY THINGS! This company is a huge lie and not to be complimented on. The reviews to not compare to the actual service! You are a liar and I will be reporting you for posting my personal information!

Had a great experience! The best place to get all your shipping needs done. The manager was very professional, has exceptional customer service skills and provided us with water and apple juice while we conducted business. 10 out of 10 I would recommend.

Qtrex is phenomenal in their service and reliability. I have been using them for 5+ years to ship items to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and I have never had a problem. Hardat is excellent in helping me with all my needs. I would not be able to give back to St. Vincent (my home away from home) without Qtrex and I am extremely grateful to have found such a reliable company that I trust.

Q-trex is the worst shipping company that has ever been existed, i can tell you personally i had a bad experience with Q-trex, i ship two barrel with Q-trex on February 28 after 6 weeks i contact them about my two barrel, they told me i only ship one barrel with them i was so confused, then they transfer my call to the manager he told me I only ship one barrel with them i said no its two barrel and I get upset with him on the phone he tells me if I don't clam down he will hang up his phone on me then in the evening i call back leave a message for him that i have video footage of the two guy going into the elevator with the two barrel, the next day he called me telling me the barrel is in Jamaica and it was a mistake he don't investigate to see what happens he insist that it only one barrel don't trust those guys with your values.

I at first helped my friend with shipments to 2 Caribbean countries and the prices for shipment wasn't bad. I was then quoted $105 special to ship 3 barrels to Jamaica! That was super awesome. Since then, that's where I do allllll my shipments back home. The service is amazing, the staff is very accommodating and help me every step of the way. The shipment gets there on time usually 4 weeks but whatever time, they give me.it gets there within that time frame. I am very pleased with the experience!

I had the opportunity to do business with Mr. Latchmansingh who was very hospitable in helping my humanitarian group (HWBGI) ship school supplies and accessories to Guyana. My deepest regret shipping with this company. I sent 2 shipments a few months ago and received horrible customer service from Hardat. He has no integrity and speaks rudely. I sent 2 TVs on separate dates and the first was broken upon arrival in Guyana. His staff tried to stall my brother and sister in law and give them a very difficult time in Guyana. They were giving him mixed messages about the first TV not there but the second which was shipped on a later date. My brother insisted and that’s how they decided to show up with the broken TV. Hardat tries to cover for his staff which is very disturbing. He promised to replace the TV in good faith.lol which never took place. Instead he rudely responded to my emails. It was very disappointing when my little nephew went with his dad to pick up a broken tv for his 6th birthday. May the Lord Jesus have mercy upon your lying tongue. Very unprofessional! I now understand how the rest of customers felt by the harshness of this wicked man.

My wife has been using Q Trex for years to send packages to family in South America. Never lost an item or package. Very good quality service and we always recommend to everyone who needs international shipping at a much more affordable rate than DHL and fedex.

I've used Q-Trex for years with little trouble, until about 20% of a barrel to a church went missing. They acknowledged they didn't reseal it.
They promised to repay. They didn't. They promised to call. They didn't. Obviously for $200.they don't mind losing customers.

My first time using QTrex International and was very impressed with the customer service from the manager to the employees I dealt with in person, by phone and via email. They helped me understand issues regarding customs and paperwork. This alone saved me quite a bit of time and alleviated my concerns with shipping expensive computers to St. LUCIA.

Responsive and great value for the money. I will use QTrex again and refer family to them without hesitation.

Qtrex is the best shipping company in Ontario to go with. There are many reasons why I recommend. I have been shipping all my life and experienced many companies but this is the best.

Qtrex provides a packing area for you to unload your items and pack if needed. They give you space and privacy for you to get all your items organized to be shipped off. Unlike some companies that watch everything you do and critique how and what you pack.

Also, pricing is great. They give one set price for all that you are sending and will make sure to come to an agreed price you are happy with before you leave. Listen, other companies try to charge you all these unnecessary fees just for sending something simple like a barrel. Qtrex will not.

Next, they answer their phones when you call and provide you with answers to all your questions via phone. The wife may come off offensive to some ppl if they are not from the caribbean because they may not understand Caribbean humour. You get your things in Jamaica on time.

My husband and I visited qtrex to ship some toys and other items for kids. We had two barrels and was told we needed to purchase a skid from the company for the other items. There was no one to help offload the items from our vehicle. We were greeted by a staff with no mask on. He was extremely rude and did not offer to help. He told us we would needed to bring all the items inside the warehouse (by ourselves) and we were also expected to pack the skid. Regardless, my husband proceeded to do this. Furthermore he gave us some shrink wrap, said we needed to wrap the items on the skid and, pay for the shrink wrap. Also, they refused to give us a strap to secure the items in place. Additionally, we were told that we needed to pay for the locks on the barrel and, their current promo that was advervisted, was only applicable to the U. S. Therefore, we were required to pay extra. Once we were ready to complete the forms, the staff told us we needed to have our own pen and our own marker referencing “Covid times” in a very rude manner. I replied, “it’s Covid times so you should be wearing a mask”. Impolitely the employee replied “I don’t need to wear a mask if you keep your distance”. Keep in mind, at no time was he in compliance with the bylaws nor was his interactions with other customers present at the time, 6 feet apart. Appalled at his behaviour, my husband and I decided we were no longer going to conduct business with this company. We asked for the manager and the owner greeted us a few minutes later. Once we relayed what happened, we were surprised at yet another shocking behaviour. In the words of the owner at Qtrex - “listen that’s my son and he studied at a business school. People come in here all the time and steal our markers and pen so if you don’t have one, we sell a marker for $5. We don’t wrap your skids because other companies like laparkan don’t do that for you”. (I have proof of what transpired). We couldn’t listen to his justification any longer, and letting him know this is not the way to conduct business, we loaded our items back into the vehicle and left. I went to laprakan and the staff was so helpful and professional, gave us a free skid, wrapped the items for free, locked the barrels for free and suggested ways to save space or add more items (pictures attached).
Bottom line- if you are shipping with Qtrex in Mississauga, be prepared to:
- Offload your own items
- Move/ lift your items into their warehouse without any help
- Walk with your own pens or pay $5 for a new one
- Walk with labels or markers or pay $5 for using qtrex stationary
- Shrink wrap your items and pay for the shrink wrap
- If you need a skid, you have to pay for one
- Pay extra for shipping because their advertisement does not apply to you
- Stay outside or keep a distance because their policy is “they don’t need to wear a mask if you keep your distance”, contrary to their notices that are posted.

Have shipped with them about 5 times now and they have been wonderful to deal with. The Mississauga staff are way helpful.

Been using them for 8 years. Service is excellent. My family in Kingston told me their experience is great so I should always ensure I use them and I have never switched. The owner is always willing to help and will always address your needs. Highly recommend. Great and professional customer service

This place is absolutely awful. They are the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with in life. If you want your package to arrive in a timely fashion, I STRONGLY suggest not to use this company. You"ll be better off walking your package to it's destination, it will get there faster.
