Quality Inn

This Inn was anything but "Quality". Awful experience. Checked in after midnight, just for one night. No discounts. Room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The lighting in the room is so harsh! They need some warmer lightbulbs.
Continental breakfast was inedible scrambled eggs, weak coffee. Thankfully there was some peanut butter toast. At least it's close to the highway?

Customer service issues are certain your concern we first rent there with no ID on hand but had it on file no problem the lady and the service was outstanding

Then we go back and try to rent the following weekend or so we were denied and left on the street well truly Monte Carlo took our money happily LOL it's one way or the other guys in the inconsistency drives customer issues

Quality inn - Barrie is all the quality in name, but no quality at all. If I compare with the Quality Inn in Oakville this is way too bad.

We stayed one night at the hotel. They assigned us to room 204. We phoned a few other hotels in the same region, but since the quality inn's rate was little lower and the other hotels' was slightly higher, we chose to accept.

We also stayed in a hotel in Oakville, Ontario, that we really loved, and we assumed that since it was owned by the same franchisee, the quality would be the same.

The space was initially compact. There weren't many pillows, and when we asked if there were any more available, they just gave us one.

One thing that startled us greatly was the lack of tissues they provided. We were unable to call the operator since the en suite phone was out of order and incredibly old-fashioned.

Even though we ultimately decided to call the hotel from our phone in an effort to speak with an operator, each time we called while already inside the hotel, no one picked up.

Even the bathroom floor was not adequately swept, and the shower head was filthy.

Well, I didn't have high expectations, but for the price we paid, I believe we received extremely bad treatment. In the morning, I located another woman working at the reception and went over to her to ask why she hadn't given us any tissues and why the phone was dead. She was hesitant to apologize, but she was simile enough to offer a facial tissue box and explain that she could provide you a new phone right away if you needed one. I informed her that I would shortly be checking out but that it wouldn't be a good experience to not have a working phone in my room.

As a result, if you're travelling to Barrie, Ontario, I noticed that lodging costs there are a bit higher than they are in Saint Catherine's, Ontario, or even Toronto. Quality is also only a name in Barrie, Ontario, but I didn't find much of it there.

We attempted to stay here in June 2022. The place was absolutely deplorable, we lasted 20 minutes before demanding a refund and ended up sleeping in our vehicle for the night as it felt that much safer and cleaner to do so. For $300 a night this place is a rip off and should be condemned. Dirt, blood, mild, electrical sockets broken and live wires hanging out, you name it! After sending photos and a recap of the condition of the facility, our concerns were completely ignored by the parent company. Deserves negative stars.

Places absolutely Disgusting service It was OK they took in consideration that I was up 5 hours worse complain about noise from the people on my floor Definitely not clean had to wipe down shower b4 using it I paid 175 for a place that was like a 1 star hotel at best Highly recommend you go elsewhere like a one star hotel and I bet you don't bet ull have a better experience

Bed bugs!
Bed bugs are in the rooms on the main floor.
Tried to check into 106, walked in and immediately saw a bed bug.
Receptionist was very good about providing a refund without any hassle.
Be warned that bed bugs are not something to gamble with, once they're in your clothing and bags they are very hard to get rid of.

Not many options for hotels in Barrie. Having stayed here before I did not have high expectations. Two floors no elevators, homeless people appeared to be temporarily sheltered there. It was clean, however the hot water for sink and shower never got beyond warm.

Its OK the rooms r clean and nice the other residents and b suspect but the staff is nice and the staff r cool

We rented a room. Had no hot water!
Tested 4 different rooms. Nothing! When I asked for my room to be refunded. They gave the managers/owners number instead of refunding. Been calling this Paul for a week no answer or reply to any of the messages left or texts. Very unprofessional. I went here with my 9 month old couldn't even warm up her food! Had to use the staff bathroom!
I've never been more disrespected and ignored in my life. This place is an absolute embarrassment of a of a hotel, and the manager/owner is even more of a embarrassment, why don't you try responding, dirty matresses and usless staff. I want a refund quality inn. I'll speak to the corporation. I've never been more insulting. Literally could have went to a cheaper motel and at least got warm water, instead of sitting at a motel that can't provide even the necessities.whoever runs this should be completely ashamed of themselves ripping family's off.not recommended for kids or pregnant women no elevators. 6 people upset because of no hot water and you dont even respone? Paul you should be ashamed of yourself. Shady.be expecting me for that refund.

It works if you need a roof over your head. It's not in a nice location. The rooms smell bad. We did get moved to a new room when they gave us a room with wet floors from 4 days ago that hadn't dried out yet. You can only imagine the smell. The new didn't smell as bad bad. But definitely not good either. The have a decent continental breakfast.

Room was over priced, and being under construction kinda hard to give a fair assessment. Plus side they still offer a breakfast!

This motel is really quite nasty not planning on ever staying here again, dirty and smells like cigarette smoke throughout the whole building just so gross

Front desk people were so nice that I almost feel bad for leaving the place 1 star.but, my feet stuck to the carpet in my room. There were bugs in the shower. The water smelled funny in the shower and tasted horrible out of the tap. I've stayed at hostels in 3rd world countries with better upkeep than this place.

The hole experience being here has been amazing all the staff are very polite and very helpful I'd recommend quality inn too everyone and anyone nothing but respect honesty and care here sincerely John wall

I read the negative reviews prior to visiting Quality Inn, and in doing so my expectations for my stay here were set considerably low. The room decor is outdated, and the building has visible signs of decay, which is expected for a two star hotel. However, at minimum I was expecting to have clean bed sheets and covers. The sheets that were provided in our room had spots where the fabric seemingly looked burned and stains of what I speculate to be blood. We brought this to the attention of one of the staff members, and although the gentleman seemed relatively unfazed, he was kind enough to provide us with extra sheets without question. The staff here is very polite and accommodating to the best of their ability. Upon bringing the extra sheets to our room, we were stunned to see a strange tube filled with a black tar-like substance inside of it drop on the floor as we unfolded the sheets. My partner and I were absolutely shocked, and although at the time I was not 100% sure of what it was, I’m now certain upon further examination of the picture that I took of the tube that it was a crack pipe. We picked up this tube using a tissue and brought it to the gentlemen we spoke to prior. We asked for extra sheets again, and he apologized for the incidence and handed us some new sheets. The extra sheets had a visible yellow stain on them. In preparation for a situation like this where I could not get stainless sheets, I brought my own for personal peace of mind and we didn’t bother to bring the sheets to the staff again. The overall cleanliness of the room was unfortunately less than satisfactory. The top surfaces of the cabinets, tables, and washroom counters were clean, however every other surface especially the walls had visible fingerprints, dust, and stains. The carpet of our room was riddled with all sorts of dark and light stains. The entire building had a noticeable cigarette smell, including our room. My partner and I brought Fabreeze to mask the unpleasant odour in our room and opened the window to allow some fresh air in. Guests have surely smoked in our room prior to our stay, and I say this because we found a cigarette butt in the window ledge. I would like to emphasize that the staff here is very polite, and I understand that incidences like finding the crack pipe and people who may be smoking outside their windows are things that are beyond the staff’s control. However, I do believe that more effort should be invested in cleaning the rooms at the very minimum, as well as replacing stained sheets with brand new ones, which is something that they do have control over. I would also recommend that the building manager covers the windows overseeing the pool area so that their clientele can avoid seeing the vast amount of algae spreading inside the pool during its closure. I apologize for leaving a negative review, and I apologize in saying that my partner and I’s stay here was not the most comfortable one. I sincerely wish the owners the best of luck for the future in improving their business, and hopefully they will take this feedback along with the feedback of other unsatisfied guests in a purely constructive manner and take the necessary steps to improve in areas where this inn falls short. If the owners would like me to provide pictures of the stained sheets, stained floor, and pictures of the crack pipe via email attachment I am more than happy to do so.

This place is terrible. Stayed here on a Saturday night with my family. The locks on the door are missing. Breakfast was supposed to be included and got told it wasn't when I went down to get some. The tv didn't work in the room either. And the staff just told us "well it doesn't work" after paying over 200 dollars for one night I would expect a little more.

Disgusting smelly pools full of mold r full of homeless people I would not recommend this place manager cares about nothing cleaning staff are rude and disrespectful do you not waste your money coming to this place I wish I could give a zero star go to any other hotel but this place

Quality inn. Quality? No way. First off you get no receipt for money you pay so you don’t know. Then the manager will say yeah- that’s 150 during the week on the weekend.this place is falling apart. It’s gross. Just don’t ever go here.

This is a poor reflection of Choice Hotels! Sheets are beyond shelf life; yellow permanent staining, cigarette burns in mattress pad, hair on all sheets and toilet, walls marked up with dirt and grime and after having a shower a disgusting grime appeared on the bathroom picture. The rest of the hotel appeared dishevelled, unorganized, unkempt. We won’t be back!

The hotel was under construction witch I understand to improve it but our room had no hot water spoke to desk they said look into it then layer spoke to manager about it he said we were turning tap wrong way lol there is only 1 way to turn it he just was trying to put it back on use almost walked into bathroom door because it scrapes the floor and a few other customers there door wouldn't lock so for the money you pay definitely not worth it and would not recommend this hotel
