Quality Inn & Conference Centre

I made a reservation here this month with a queen bed a fire place and jacuzzi tub. I was so excited for a nice bath with jets and relaxing in-front of the fireplace how ever to my disappointment the fire place did not work and the jacuzzi tub did not either along with the tv and phone the night staff was super friendly and helped right away he did everything to make our stay the best it could we then got moved to a second room at around 1am we were put in a room with a king bed and none of the extras I paid for such as the fireplace and jacuzzi we stayed for in that room for the first night although it was not what I paid for or reserved. The next morning I went back to the service desk to talk to the manger about the room switch and how I was unhappy she began to be friendly and made the switch to a room with the extras I PAID for. The third time you switch rooms in a hotel you think it’ll be a good hotel nothing wrong a nice room with everything working how ever for the THIRD time I was let down with this room as the fireplace did not work the manager proceeded to tell me the fireplaces get turned off each summer and would not be back on for another month or so alone with the fireplace not working the phone I’m my hotel does not work just like the last 2 rooms and the tv won’t connect to wifi when I brought this to the managers attention her response was well you still have cable so the tv still works.
IMPORTANT
-if you would like a stress free stay with all the extras in your room that you paid for to work don’t stay here.
- staff will be nice until you tell them about the issues you are having then they get mean and have a tone
- rooms are not that nice again not worth the money
- fireplaces are advertised all year but are only turned on in winter so if you would like a fireplace in the summer or early fall months such as September it’s not worth the waste of money.
-if you want to watch tv or movies or be entertained relaxing in your room I recommend bringing a computer or your phone/tablet and a speaker since the tvs don’t work either
I would not recommend this hotel I spent good money and nothing worked I was highly disappointed with the staff service, room quality and just everything’s quality.
It really shouldn’t be called the quality inn when nothing in the hotel has any quality to it.

A lot for the kids to do, I must say the ducky treasure hunt was such a success and made my kids trip (one even had to say goodbye to them). Little things they did really made our stay amazing. All the staff during our stay went above and beyond and for that we are grateful! Breakfast was amazing too, such a blessing.

The reason for a 4 star is; the arcade closed at 6 instead of 7 and then I didn't realize it doesn't open until 5pm so my kids didn't get to do the bumper cars as we were only there for one night. My guess is likely staffing issues like the rest of our province.
Rooms were clean but the bathroom in our room definitely needs a deep scrub and some maintenance work.
Bathrooms (women's) in the pool area really desperately needs a deep scrub.

Great hotel. Stay here whenever I get into Orillia. Son loves the pool, breakfast is good in the morning.

Room was nice nothing too fancy and happy they had outside access from room for my dog. Pet and kid friendly which was great. The indoor pool and hot tub was a nice feature as well.
Happy that the included hot breakfast had a nice amount to choose from including make your own waffles.
Also I didn't get a chance to use it but has an arcade and bowling alley attached to hotel. Also like a 2 min walk to a Tim Hortons.

We just got home from our trip to Southern Ontario and we stayed at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre in Orillia for almost a full week. It was central to all of what we wanted to do while we were there. Our stay was wonderful. Angel, Melanie, Greg and Tedda were great as was all the staff. I live with a physical disability and our first room had a tub which I found I had a challenge getting in and out of and, Greg, the manager, was great and switched us to a room with a walk in shower. The breakfast was good and started the day off right with conversations with the restaurant staff and other guests. Our room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the trees and grounds out back of the hotel. It was a wonderful stay.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside and it definitely still has some areas that might need some updating. That being said, they have done a lot of work updating the rooms and the common spaces. It was clean, and comfortable. A great place for families (the pool and hot tub were great selling features for us). There is a small arcade/bowling alley and bumper cars attached to the hotel where there was a bar/restaurant. The included breakfast was good (a bit of variety/ selection which is always appreciated) and mostly good taste/quality.

The staff were amazing! Super pleasant to deal with and they even had scavenger hunts and games for the kids.

The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Was first off disappointed that I was not told the pool was not in service. This should be listed on the website as it has been unavailable for some time.
My bed had a hollow on one side. I tried sleeping on the other side but kept falling in the hole. New mattresses would help greatly.
They also had no cream for our morning coffee.

accessibility information, because it'll take a while to get fixed & it's currently only fine print: there are no elevators, only stairs.the doors are heavy, and the doors to outside have a step up.there are also no buttons to make the doors open on their own.it is lacking in signs, but if you see this review a couple months after I left it, that's probably been fixed.there are some more wheelchair accessible rooms, but still, as of now it's not very accessible to other mobility aid users or those who struggle with maze-like buildings.

We recently booked a block of rooms for a baseball tournament in July 2023.
Booking process: I had the pleasure of dealing with Kelly, the director of operations. She made the booking seamless and went over and above to accommodate our team. She was always available to answer questions either by phone or email. We had many last minute changes to our booking and she was always kind and professional and provided us with a great rate.
Rooms: The hotel was very clean and there was always staff around cleaning and ensuring that you had what you needed in your rooms (towels, coffee, etc.) The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious for our family of 4. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker which were clean and in working order. We were lucky to get a room on the main floor which allowed for a sliding door to our room. The only thing that some had an issue with was the rooms were a little damp. However it was a VERY hot weekend in Ontario so I do not know if the cold air-conditioned room and the constant opening of the sliding door to the outside had something to do with it.
Hotel: Outside of the hotel in the back there was a nice large field that the baseball team could run and play which was nice. There was enough space to sit and have a picnic (with your own lawn chairs). The arcade/bowling/bumper cars were an awesome bonus and reasonable in price. There is a restaurant onsite but I did not dine there, others were and they seemed to enjoy their meals.
Location: within walking distance you could go to tim hortons, zehrs grocery store, pizza nova (among others).
Staff: As I mentioned from the moment we arrived everyone was kind, professional and attentive to our needs.
Breakfast: Breakfast was great pancakes, waffles, toast, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, etc. Was perfect and all you needed.
Nearby for Sunny Day: Couchiching Beach Park, was a great park/beach/bathroom.
Bottom Line: Perfect hotel at an affordable price. Nothing fancy but clean, friendly and great. Would highly recommend. Thank you again Kelly and team for providing a perfect booking and hotel experience.

My daughter, grandkids and I have a swimming memberships to the hotels pool, We love swimming here. Great exercise and fun family time. This is a good hotel to stay at to. Great location.

When I entered, my first impression was the lady at the front desk with red hair and the only staff without a name tag was racist and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. I would have made a video and uploaded to the internet the way she spoke to us in a rude way. Definitely fire her or a most likely law suit will be initiated by someone. Thankfully Melanie stepped in and handled the situation better.

The room was spacious. The hotel arranged Easter sweets as a welcome gift. The swimming pool was good. The jacuzzi was very good. The lady at the front desk I believe her name is Melanie made sure our stay was special and memorable. The breakfast was amazing. The bed was massive and comfortable. The TV had channels so after a long outing it was nice to come back and relax with a movie and a wine. The hotel gave coupons which can be used at the restaurant next door. It is definitely a worthwhile place to stay. The location was very convenient in a way it's just off the highway. There was no noise and it was one of the peaceful stays we had even though it was fully packed and Easter holiday with lots of kids.

Stayed here for the 1st time with 2 kids, it was so great! The restaurant next door was a bonus I didn't even know about when I booked it! They also had an Easter event put on for the kids that the kids enjoyed. The rooms were spacious, and I LOVED the fact that we had a balcony door to the outside. The pool was actually working, which the kids were pumped about. Were changing our regular hotel to this one. Thank you for the great stay!

Another great time for our family at the Orillia Quality Inn. The most friendly and helpful staff. Always look forward to coming back.

The building was in poor condition. There was mold on the walls, paint peeling in several places, many pieces of the ceiling were missing in the pool room and there were bugs in the pool. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the ventilation was terrible. The breakfast had potential but was cold. Our dinner was cold as well, even though we were the only ones there. The ground leading out of our room was full of ice. My husband almost fell. The worst part was when house cleaning barged into our room at 8: 30 am waking us up, despite us having the "do not disturb" sign on our door. And when we were leaving we saw they left a pile of clean towels on the floor by our door. I suppose they were for replenishing the room. But the hall floor is obviously dirty, so why would anyone want to dry themselves off on those towels? Gross!

Dirty. Pull your sheets back and if you have a mattress pad on your bed, pull it back too. Then look at your grossly urine soaked and filled mattress which is very UNSAFE Toilets and mounded shower curtains. Electrical plugs loose and literally falling out of the walls. Mold! Look under your bed as well! -a

Value for money but felt unsecured. Good things to note:

Aesthetically nice ambiance and carpet colours synced with the room entrances in the hallways

Downsides:
No phone in the room, when complained they said someone must have stolen it when made things worse considering all doors were unlocked and anyone could have entered through any parking entrance despite a key card being required.by the way the key card didn't work to open the doors

No complimentary water, costs $4 plus tax per regular small water bottle
Pool not the cleanest at this price range

We got a suite with a jacuzzi tub. It was big enough for both my husband and I! The staff is friendly and helpful! Looking forward to staying again!
