Really good healthy food. Don’t be afraid for the look.
I took fried rice (not so fried and not fat at all) with vegetables and eggs. Like Nasi Goreng in Bali.

Totally recommended.

Very good family business run all day breakfast and Chinese food. The first time here, I am amazed how their food is good with AMAZING prices. Very good service and clean. The potato was so delicious, too roasted with onion. Yummy. So I ordered the special with bacon as my friend did I normally not big fan of bacon I gave it to friend but was well done cooked and nice test I had one. The table beside us ordered Chinese food, and it looks amazing.
Please give them a good tip as their prices are too low to compensate for it. Thank you for your wonderful service and food.

Really quaint diner, hole in the wall atmosphere. Had the 2-egg breakfast special, solid classic meal at a geat price.

My first time trying this restaurant,
ordered house fried rice without shrimp and beef with mushroom. The takeout was tasty, well balanced and happy with the food quality. Will order from here again.

Fantastic spot and really captures the essence of the "Old School Queen West". You know, before it got all trendy? I came here when I first moved to the city in the fall of 2006 (they were located down the street) and enjoy their breakfast special just as much today. A really great, mom-and-pop operation and an important part of the neighbourhood. The food is great and the owners are hard working, honest and fair. They have been serving our community for many years and I'm so happy they still are.

I don't think I'm willing to find out if their Canadian food is better than their Chinese food.

I use to eat from Queen Star Restaurant frequently, the good ole university days, when classes ran late and you wanted something to fill your belly and was convenient. However, with the recent price increase, I can not justify frozen chicken bits, bagged veggies and pre-mixed white rice in soy sauce. Saigon Flower Restaurant down the street is much better!

OK Burgerscare excellent but today got a Gyro and omg the worst it was like eating cardboard think I'll just stick to their burgers waste of money on the gyros

Lady serving was very nice, but place isn't the cleanest. Cans of soft drinks from fridge were filthy, chest freezer is filthy when opened.

I'm usually not big on chinese food but this place actually blew my mind; loved everything we ordered for a quick and easy well priced dinner. The lady serving was super nice and sweet and the service itself was fast; I'll definitely go back to it.

$3 delivery charge, then $2 credit card charge makes this kinda expensive n the food isnt that good - no amount for FREE delivery - sad - i'll look for a different place for chinese food - if they are going to charge me $5 extra then the food should be very good

The beef chow main poorly cooked it was more than half raw and when you call to tell them all they say is its cooked never ordering from there again!

Stumbled upon this place and wasn’t sure about it. The other lady waiting for her order said it’s actually super good and she goes all the time and gets the beef and broccoli with fried rice. I tried the combo number 2 and it came with beef & veggie, chicken balls, fried rive and a spring roll. All this for $10! Have to say, it’s also delicious! Definitely going back:) highly recommend!

Family owned restaurant. Not the fanciest food you will get to eat in Toronto but this one hit the spot and it’s very reasonably priced.

Love the food here. Old school divey place but the family owned diner has great food at great value. Yummy Chinese combos, beef and broccoli and crispy wings beef chop suey some of my faves and great banquet burgers. Try the breakfast yum!

First and LAST time buying from here. I ordered general tso chicken and fried rice, they put Litterly a tea spoon of the sweet sauce on the chicken. Such a waste of time and money for a simple grub….

All day breakfast! All day breakfast is definitely my favourite and it's great to have one place that does it good nearby. I just had the typical standard Breakfast and the potatoes are really delicious!

Worse Chinese food ever. Food was so dry the breaded chicken soo guy had to send back first order.then thay wanted me to get soo guy the next time I order said thay were to busy. Well there well never be a next time.

Classic family run Chinese Canadian restaurant with huge portions and prices you can’t beat! Many options to choose from but my favourite is the all day breakfast. Small gem of downtown Toronto!

Terrible, not sure how this place has good reviews. Food came hot thats about it. Flavour was strange, egg rolls were stale, rice was terribly burnt. Couldn't finish the meal.

I admire this place a lot.there is a different air. The food is splendid.the service is dynamic and the crew is polite. The price is satisfactory. I warmly recommend.

The worst customer service ever! I get that their Chinese but it took 15 minutes to explain we live in Liberty Village only for them to cancel the order because I wanted to pay with a card. They only take cash. Brutal.

I wanted to like it because it’s so close by, but unfortunately it sucked. My beef & broccoli dish was very salty. My shrimp fried rice was burnt.like, black pieces & smelled from the bag! The spicy shrimp was nothing to rave about. The only good thing was the plain noodles I ordered. Disappointed. Everything was leaking out the bags.

Don’t expect gourmet or a decent ambience but the staff know what’s up and the food is bomb. I’m travelling across the city during quarantine just to take advantage of their cuisine. You get more for what you pay for. This restaurant is a Toronto staple. I’ll always return. You will not be upset.

Can't beat the price for the huge portions of breakfast here! Their Chinese options aren't bad either. Don't go in expecting ambience and gourmet food. But at this price, I can guarantee you'll come out happy and your stomach full!

I really enjoy this place, it’s reminds me of another Chinese restaurant that is now closed down. I order here almost once a week my usual order of beef mixed vegetables and fried rice.i emphasize on the fried rice as I know it comes with steam rice, if I’m going to pay extra for the fried rice I expect to get fried rice when my order gets home.
Please take down the orders correctly as I don’t want to have to walk back. Thank you for your service.

This Chinese/Canadian-fare diner is nestled in on Queen St west amongst a nice walking area filled with shops, butcher, baker and more.

We ate from the Chinese menu- dinners for 1 plus some wontons and soup. The wonton soup was good, fried wontons were not bad but I prefer a less hard and crunchy wrap.

Unfortunately, using the deep fryer meant the smell of fried food permeated the restaurant, and wasn’t terribly pleasant.

Wonderful price for good quality and quantity. Vegan options make this place a repeat go-to for me - the tofu and veggies with rice dish is filling, well-priced and delicious. I am very grateful to find this place in usually-overpriced Toronto!

I spent $67 on my first visit and I regret nothing.
The burger alone is stunning. Like, no question, the most underrated burger I've had since burger fighter closed up.

This little unassuming gem simply has some of the tastiest Chinese offerings that I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Every dish has its own unique flavour (s) instead of most of the food tasting the same. Even better, the prices are very reasonable, especially when you factor in the large servings and the way all of the food is cooked to perfection. They also have a large selection of Canadian food and once again - large, tasty servings at amazing prices. Their breakfasts are so cheap and fast you'll go there all the time if you work or live nearby. I've taken many friends there and they are regulars now. CHECK IT OUT, you won't be disappointed.

Very basic Canadian Chinese like you would find in a small town.except it's in the heart of the Queen West strip around the Drake. No air conditioning.

I ordered Chinese take out a couple of days ago, and was very happy with the food! We had spicy Szechuan beef noodles, sweet & sour chicken balls, pork fried rice and steamed and pan fried dumplings (which are home made). I recommend this great family run business.

Good old no BS Canadian Chinese food. My friends got breakfast. Love the classic diner decor. Don't ever change.

Greasy spoon Chinese food that will satisfy a hankering at a cheap price. Closest to a food court Chinese food at First Markham place one can get from Queen West.
