Went here becuase we just looking a nice place to watch a basketball game. The place is pretty nice the food is good. The review are pretty accurate about the place. It mostly older folk at the place. So it feel very family friendly.
Did some Googling and found this place had highly rated "meat pies". What a mistake. What they call "meat pies" were in actual fact, a bowl of beef stew with a puff pastry sitting on top! To be fair, the beef stew did taste ok and the puff pastry was fine, but "meat pies" they were not. The "meat pie" did come with sides of peas and mashed potatoes which were both ok. We also ordered the baby back rib special which we found a bit more enjoyable.
Great place for older folks. Didnt see teenagers or too many young adults. Seems most of the patrons are regulars and seems lots of Caribbean people. There was live music the Friday night I stopped by and the fish and chips was on special. Planning to check out the wings next time as those seem to be a hit.
Addicted to the amazing food coming out of this pubs kitchen. Hands down one of my favourite places to eat, great pub food but also tons of other amazing dishes, homemade but with love.
Love the atmosphere and the patio in the summer is awesome!
If looking for a place to grab a drink with amazing food don’t even think twice, be warned u might get addicted too.
Great food (especially the lasagna special), cheerful service, classic pub atmosphere. Outside, it's located on a dreary stretch of Midland Ave, but inside, seeing a few of the regulars makes it feel more inviting.
