Queen West - Central Toronto Community Health Centres

I was a patient for 14 years. After Dr. Muna left this place went downhill for me. The medical reception staff are extremely rude. They gave me incorrect appointment dates 3 times in the last day when they call and confirm appointment then they try and gaslight you and make it out that it’s your fault for their incompetence. I know because I always repeat the time back to them when they call and confirm and 3x I have come for that appointment (which I also add to my calendar when I make it) and be told that I don’t have an appointment anymore or I missed it. I have failed to receive adequate care from here as well since Dr. Muna left. Avoid their place if you want to be respected. The medical reception staff are also intolerant to people with mental illness. I have found another place to receive my medical care from.

Stinky, airless community centre (!) who are supposed to be LOW COST but in fact charging MORE. Meaningless.

I'm so disappointed. I saw the incredible resources. I saw that they support Indigenous people with traditional medicine on top of western medicine. I saw the free naturopathy and dental. I wasn't able to use any of it. This place is extremely difficult to get a hold of on a good day. There's no voicemail or email as an alternative to their phone line. I also just found out, after two years, that my new patient forms weren't submitted, so my old GP was being fined all five times I visited. I'm going back since apparently I'm still his patient, but I also found out there's a massive fee for having transferred my medical records, which is fine and part of the process, but nobody at this health centre warned me about any payment. I've also had concerns about hygiene (like putting my speculum on the table right up against someone else's pee sample before using it and acting like I'm irrational for asking not to do that) so I'm not too sad to leave. I just feel like this was a huge waste of time. None of my health issues have been addressed in these two years.
