Trading platform is relatively easy to use, customer service is really good, waiting time to reach a customer service is quite acceptable now and ability to invest in registered accounts while utilising the margin power.

Transparent and dependable products. Always innovating and focusing on adding experiences that drive customer delight (ie.emailing me when I went into margin on my margin account). Fantastic customer service/ call centre as well.

Missed trade opportunities. Margin power was suddenly removed after a trade between Margin account and TFSA. Called customer support which said "there is nothing wrong" and basically told me to go on the website to learn about margin power. Useless.

I wish I never made an account, here at quest trade.your better off just having a piggybank that breaks when you throw it. Please stay away and live your happy life, this place is the virtual Black Cube of Saturn.

Platform is good they always answer phone also very helpful but I feel sorry for the people who have to work with a dreadful IT FILLING OUT FORMS submitting them is horrible they are always missing content that I know I filled out currently have submitted everything six times just about ready to give up so I’m conclusion just spend a bit of effort bringing your form editing pdf to the next century

Please Don't use questrade its really fustrating and the comission is too higher and their instant funds does not really make sense after all its gonna take 1-2 business days for them to show up the money in our trading account, a big hands, I would never recommend this to anyone.

They tell you you will get a rebate fee to transfer your account but they make you try to get specific documents from your previous trading company to prove there is a fee, even though it is questrade confirming the fee amount, total scam. They also charge you interest on this so called fee.

While the platform is easy to use, there is not ONE week that goes by without their platform crashing while you are in the middle of day trading, which results in you taking losses when you manage to log back in and the stock has moved against you because you couldn't access the platform. They spend time advertising non-sense that does not matter and do not spend any time fixing their bugs and making sure the platform does not crash every week. My advice: stay away from them and go with a more serious broker.

Not to mention their commissions on options that are ridiculous compared to what Interactive Broker offers; I take several trades a day and their commissions on options often reduce my % return by 5-15% which is huge. And there is no effort that is made by them to make options more competitive for their customers that trade everyday. They just say "thank you for your feedback or we are sorry to hear that, etc". No effort made to at least try to be more competitive, which does not necessarily mean to align with Interactive Brokers. But $7.45 + $0.5 per contract, that is just ridiculous

EDIT: their response below is exactly confirming what I said about their customer service just giving the usual “we’re sorry to hear” line without trying to fix anything or address the actual concern. Your active trader package sucks and is still ridiculously expensive; also I didn’t complain about the lack of transparency about the fees (please make an effort to actually read people’s reviews) but rather about how high they were. This is ridiculously amateurish

Awfull and useless support. They literally do nothing to resolve your question. No escalation options available as well. They just keep saying you to get back in a week or two, or that someone will 100% get back to you via email and.nothing happens.
They also didn't give the referral bonus.
Think twice before choosing them and do it only if you have no other options.

1. I like the low fees.
2. I like that you can buy and sell ETFs with almost no fees.
3. I like the Green Theme. It reminds me of the environment, seeing as our money is not green.
4. I love love love the double authentication features. Most of the big banks don't do this. I makes me feel way better and more secure. I would like to see even more security features in the future.

Good trading fees. Quick service through chat. I like the promotions offered as well using promo codes.

Go with Interactive Brokers. Questrade has terribly high fees, and their website platform and app are so slow. You will constantly time out, get logged out, etc. Just not worth it at all until they can improve their interface and reduce fees.

Pretty straightforward website, commission free ETFs, prompt response when I have a question (RBC Direct Invest took three weeks to answer a question about a transfer).

Does everything I need it to do for the best price in Canada. All my encounters have been positive so far.its a fair stance to have.

Questrade does NOT care about us. They have frozen THOUSANDS of shareholders funds in $MMTLP. Check out twitter - there are 24/7 spaces of people who have had their funds frozen due to brokers not acting on behalf of us - instead they are covering for the hedge funds - it's all about the $$$

I tried to withdraw funds from my RRSP for tax reasons. Everything was complicated, and due to an issue on their side, they failed to send the money, causing me a loss of thousands of dollars. They offered 5 free trades in compensation. Ridiculous. I wouldn't give a star if I didn't have to.

Very easy to use and the returns on my portfolio are very good versus what I get from IG Wealth.

Have been with them for 2 years but the fees are too high, especially for options and exercising options. Moved my money to Interactive Brokers and shocked by the amount of money I am saving in trading options.
Do not hesitate, try IBKR!

They sell your options on you early on the expiration day so they can make the extra "trade desk" commission

Awkward un-skipable commercials are so bad. The questtrade/mortgage characters in them have a bit of a dickish attitude.

If I could give zero stars I would, everything is more or less not awful right up until you actually try to pull your money out, at which point you will suddenly lose hundreds right before your eyes, I tried to pull my RRSP out for a first time home buyers and suddenly lost $700 out of my account

Just got a letter from them that its deadline was 3 days ago (stock tights related). There was no related email (like other brokers do).
Asked to speak to a supervisor. They just dried me on the line. I thought that Questrade became better; unfortunately, this isn't the case.

Edited later: Leaving the 2 stars, while adding that Questrade have indeed called me and offered some symbolic compensation, which demonstrates that they at least listen and open to criticism, which is a good thing.

NEVER EVER SIGN ANY CONTRACT OR ANY AGREEMENT with QUEST TRADE, NEVER EVER OPEN ACCOUNT WITH QUEST TRADE, FOR TRADING -THIS IS JUST TOTTALY FRAUD-I opened the account and put x amount of $ and they ate all my money saying, when the shares are in loss, we sold the shares, " saying been sold automatically and can not be revered or fixed" they eat all your money like this -this is 100% fraud.if someone reading my review please make aware as much people as you can so that people do not loose their hard working money and quest trade do not get a chance of fraud with people hard working money basically they put all these transactions in their own trading and later take advantage of fluctuation, I wish i could use as much negative stars for quest trade- they do JUST FAKE FARMALITY TO ANSWER YOUR REVIEW FEELING SORRY

Ease of use and to set up automatic deposits from my bank account. Using quest wealth potrfolios is much easier to adjust my investing strategy (growth) than the competitive services available. (RBC invest ease was a nightmare, had to call in everytime I wanted to adjust my portfolio's holdings in relation to portfolio type, main reason I switched over)

Jessica's presentation on Options (Basic) was excellent. Her slides and explanations made it easy to follow and understand a potentially dangerous topic for novices.

I look forward to similar sessions.

Questrade mobile app is unbelievably terrible. I can’t imagine how they expect to compete with such slow loading poor interface. No improvements in the whole year I have used it. I have moved my money out because I detest opening their app. It works great as a loading screen. Unreal.

Horrible company to work with for mortgages. They requested an appraisal for the home we were going to buy. The result was more of an inspection, in return they demanded we have a foundation expert come in to check the property and have a full report. Which we complied. The basement had some leaks due to no eves trough.which we told them and had full transparency. PROPERTY WAS SOLD AS IS. They need to read mls listing. We had 4 days to close they strung this upon us. DO NOT GO WITH QUEST TRADE FOR YOUR MORTGAGE.

Beyond disappointed with this company. Paid a premium of $30 to wire transfer my money out to pay for my taxes on May 2nd (expedited service should take 2-4 days). Today is May 17th apparently the wire transfer is completed, no money in my account and no one in customer service knows where my money is. The bank says there has been ZERO activity or contact from Questrade. I spoke with multiple agents who promised to get back to me only to leave me hanging until I called back to follow up. As of now the issue still hasn't been resolved.

Tried multiple times to transfer funds from a self directed RSP account to a managed RSP account. Every response I received was inaccurate. Was asked to call, followed prompts got sent to a full voice mail box.

Customer service is sub-par in terms of response time. People are nice on the phone, website is ok, not super-user friendly. Setting up new accounts was painful. Not surprisingly, they will take your money very quickly. Try to withdraw it? Despite filling out the same paperwork for 3 consecutive years, we're still waiting on this year's RESP withdrawal after submitting the paperwork 38 days ago. You shouldn't have to wait that long to get your money back.

Easy and convenient, buy your stock and just wait to grow, don’t expect in short term, make plan for 3 to 5 yrs

I have used Questrade for 5 years to buy ETFs and have never encountered any major problem. The commissions are low and the website is good. Would recommend.

The website is very easy to use despite some of the reviews I've seen. Fees are low, and there are plenty of areas that have a 'mouse-over' ability if you don't understand something, which for a newbie like me is great!

Poor price execution and absolutely awful customer service. Do not open an account here if you’re serious about stock trading.they incorrectly flagged one of my stocks ineligible for a TFSA, costing me thousands of dollars in accountants’ fees and lost tax shelter for 7-digit capital gains. Their compliance department is incompetent and myself and my accountant had to explain to them basic tax law. Avoid this disaster entirely by going with a reputable broker dealer instead of this hack shop.

Avoid Questrade! - Untrained reps who don't know how to process transfers. Don't return calls nor emails. It takes them months to process transfers and the fees are exuberant. Try Wealthsimple or National Bank who is now has zero commission, for better service.

I have migrated to national bank direct brokerage. It has $0 commission on all transactions- USA and Canadian stocks. Hopefully others brokerage would follow $0 commission eventually.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They unlinked my bank account after an NSF and delayed the processing of re-linking the bank account so they could charge more interest.

Free signup and low fees without the hassle of dealing with a broker or in-person visits. Generally no issues with the platform. Prompt communication on options expiring

OMG. Questrade just charged me over $40.00 to withdraw money from my lif account. They also broke it up into two different withdrawal. It's getting worse.

Questrade is probably one of the worst brokerages I've dealt with. I have been patiently waiting one week for a wire transfer to be deposited into my account. The supervisor had promised the funds would be in my account the following day, it has been 2 days. Questrade had sent numerous urgent requests but nothing was done. I have still not received my funds and I would not recommend this brokerage to anyone.

I'm with wealthsimple and I wanted to open an account with questrade it seems most of the negative reviews are about transfer delays.

I just opened an account few months ago. The platform is OK, but the chart compare to other platform like TradingView is poor. Much more less features than theirs. Also I have noticed, at bottom of the IQ Edge, it says "Delayed 15 min" which for day trader is HUGE delay. I've stated thinking to change my platform.

New Update: Also I would like to tell you more about data fee prices. Watch out! If you ask them you need Level 2 data, they will tell you to buy "Advanced Canadian streaming" package for $89.95, but that only include MX Option data Level2 ONLY and the rest is still Level 1. No TSX, no CES, no ATS Level 2 data. If you want to have those, you need pay $32.95 + $4.95 + $49.95 = $87.85 on top of your $89.95 (total: $177.80) to get proper level 2 data. Most of other platforms, the level 1 data are free, but it seems Questrade will charge for level 1 even.: (

I chose Questrade because it suits my needs and I'm comfortable sharing that with other like minded people. My only complaint is entering my password each time on the mobile app.

My experiences with Questrade have been mostly positive. I also like that Questrade offers Questwealth portfolios where someone decides what investments to buy for me. My money is growing and someone else is taking care of it for me hassle free!

Experience has been terrible.they charge 10$ per transaction for mutual funds (which usually is not charged with most brokerages) with the promise that you will get the rebates. When they don't give the amount that you expect, the people you call can't tell you why and a manager wont call back to explain why. Taking into account the 29.95 per month that they say they charge. I expected $72 and got 1$. No one can tell me why and I spent 80$ buying mutual funds and I will need to spend another 80$ selling them. Don't buy mutual funds through questrade. It is a scam

Very, very Disappointed with Questrade, our deposit/investment has been left stagnate for over 6 weeks. When it was communicated that the issue would be resolved at the time I opened my account. That is 6 weeks our money could have been invested. I opened 3 support incidents over this time. Great commercials, very very poor execution and support.

Horrible customer service, I got an email saying there is a a problem with my automatic deposit so I contacted them to see what is happening. Already I sent to 2 email and they didn't get back to me yet.

Update: they call me to solve the problem.
