Great place for sport & recreation. Lots of activities to choose from and an on site restaurant.

Please do something. I am not the only one that is disappointed. The others have not made a complaint as they feel it will go unanswered. Very disappointed. I have to revise my comments. The last review I have placed in quotation at the end of this review. Since then the center has communicated with me to see what they could do. I gave them my comments and unfortunately the corrections to the cleanliness has not happened. In fact the court's cleanliness has gotten worse, as well as the locker rooms and entrance to the courts. The comment they made that they cannot find time to clean is a bad excuse as most cleaning of the building is done during the night when it is empty. As I was getting on the courts this week a lady was brushing the dirt off her shoes and bottom of her legging. One thing I mentioned to her was that the blue dividers on the courts need attention as they are falling over. All that is required is someone going and fighting the legs of the dividers. Since then they have only gotten worse as now a lot of them no longer have legs and are leaning on the others Co you have to pick them up and put them back when they fall. I am disappointed that I have posted"They are seriously neglecting the cleanliness. Have made several complaints about this with no response. The Pickleball courts are very dirty as well as a friend commented that there are blood stains on the courts. Showers with no handle in the women's locker room as well as poorly maintained bathrooms. The RA Center is the most expensive place to play in the city and they have brought their prices up 50%. I am seriously wondering if I should find another place to rent a court. Also it's too bad because the price has made it unaccessible to some people. "

Awful experience with their summer day camp. We enrolled my 10 year old niece here for most of the summer. For a couple of weeks now she was experiencing bullying from some of the children in the camp (name calling, being left out of games, kicking her in the pool). The camp counsellors did nothing to stop this throughout the weeks so we decided to pull her from the camp completely. Only until a couple days of her not being there do they call and offer to talk to the parents of the bully. Which we all know will achieve nothing. Children should feel safe and heard, not like another cheque to the company. Very disappointed in the lack of care and experience of the staff here.

Great place to play squash. I haven’t tried too many of their facilities but it’s really convenient to book online and there’s almost no friction when you enter. Just go straight to the front desk and confirm you’re there, nothing else to do. The prices are a bit steep for squash, but there aren’t many options right now anyways.

John was very patient at their one-time ‘Try Archery’ and their COVID-19 protocols were enforced. Badminton was happening below us behind the green mesh, so it was loud and difficult to concentrate, but I still fun.

Best place to play handball in the region.the only place really. Friendly staff. Looks like they have a great badminton program.

Hockey, soccer, racket sports, curling, shooting range, restaurant. They've got everything! The RA Centre is an athlete's wet dream.

The field is pretty good. It is fairly cold in the winter and it would be nicer if the office/bathrooms were attached to the dome.

Great field for 7 a side. Good competition with the mens soccer7s league. Washrooms are kinda iffy because they're ports potties.

The centre has a wealth of programming, lots of free parking and a very good coffee shop serving the best grilled cheese in Ottawa. Fully accessible.

They had an open house today. I took my kids and they loved it. Glow in the dark dodgeball, glow in the dark ice skating, badminton, basketball, swimming. They have many different clubs, chess, archery, squash, judo. Great place!

Attended a dinner theater.very well choreographed.excellent dinner (beef, poultry, & fish). All in all a good RA experience.

Amazing place for swimming, but the staff always tries to make excuses to close the pool early so that lifeguards can go home. (Ex, if a kid pisses in the pool, everyone has to leave without a refund or a sound of a plane misinterpreted to be thunder even though the sky is blue)

RA centre has the oldest Badminton club in Ottawa. It also the best badminton play field. High celling, Green wall and use feather shuttles as well. You will find the all fun players in this club. If you interested, you could tried it out on Tuesday and Thursday night. Ask the east wing help desk.

They have a lot of great stuff at the ra center, but they need to have grass on the main soccer fields. There are also potholes in among the weeds on the fields making it a hazard.

Great venue for a wedding All the staff from planning to decorations were amazing they were the most affordable venue for a wedding and everything was amazing the food was incredible. It was the best wedding we could dream of having

Solid rec facility. I play in a softball league here (there is outdoor soccer too). Indoor there is almost everything from curling to archery

Worst sports centre I’ve ever been too. Came in to their « drop-in » badminton hours. Wanted to check out the program and see the level of play before paying a full membership price. I was told I was not allowed to play unless a member let me in. If this is their policy they should consider removing free play or drop in from there vocabulary. Waste of time. Even after a person on the phone told me to come and just pay the guest fee for day. Paid a 15$ Uber to get there and another fee to get back home. This place is honestly a joke. Hope they get to train their employees to have consistency in messaging.

Not good. I am a member of the RA and the other day (2019/05 /6) I had bought a 1/2 dozen donuts to give to the front office at the East Wing just across from the Booking Desk! Well, there were about 4 or 5 people in there and I stood out side the glass door showing the donuts I had! They all saw me but completely ignored me.making me feel like a complete idiot for trying to be nice.and, if it was because they did not want a sweet, sugar filled donuts or were having a meeting, then, someone could have had the courtesy to get up and say so.but to ignore me and essentially say "get lost" did not really show how a 68 year old member of 25 years, or more should be treated! I guess respect and decency has gone out the window, these days, at the RA!

Great people but the facility is very outdated. The city should invest more into recreational buildings and services for our community.

Great food, great atmosphere but consistently understaffed for lunch hour rush. Poor waitress works for her tips. I believe we can all benefit from more staff.

Very good space for larger groups. They provide nice in house catering and excellent service.

In addition, they provide space for many sports and events including racquetball, tennis, bowling, shooting (yes, they have a shooting range) and more.
