My dining experience at Radica's Hot & Spicy was exceptional, with a wonderful server providing attentive and friendly service. The pepper shrimp, veg fried rice, and plain fried chicken wings were flavorful and surprisingly light, offering generous portions that matched the reasonable prices. And the best part is everything is Halal!
The prompt delivery of hot and fresh food enhanced the overall positive experience. The restaurant's lovely and elegant ambience added to the charm, making it a versatile choice for various occasions. Radica's Hot & Spicy stands out as a gem, combining top-notch service, delectable dishes, reasonable pricing, and a delightful atmosphere for a truly memorable dining experience.
The peppa sauce is amazing. Anahi was great, friendly and very attentive. The doubles are so delicious as well as the the wontons and special chicken fried rice.
Omg this place is a hidden gem! It's so hard for me to find good food like this. I went on a quiet day, but there's a spot for a music set up which is different
Loved the hospitality and kindness from the staff and the owner himself. Outstanding food and I love that special chicken fried rice and that chowmein! It's what I usually see being posted on social media and it is bomb
Just visited again. Food and portions amazing. Real West Indian food and flavour. Service with a smile. Even the take out well worth it. Great atmosphere. Well keep going.
This restaurant the best food in town and everyone here very friendly service. I just want to says thank you so much for every time make food so so good for me.
I ordered one (hot) spicy doubles as it was my first time at the restaurant. The doubles smelt like raw meat and the chic peas were swimming in liquid. There was barely any taste or spice. Quite possibly the worst doubles I have ever tasted. I’m glad that I didn’t spend any money on anything else on the menu.
I used to recommend this place, and would visit at least once a month. However, after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend this place. The quality of the food has gone down compared to my previous visits.
The chicken was bland, the rice a bit hard and lack flavour as well. I hope they start to put more of a focus on the food again, because right now it seems like the priority is processing as many orders as possible, and not food quality.
I ordered 2 doubles which were extremely salty. And 2 rotis were ok-ish. Also orders the aloo puri not knowing what it was but it smelled bad ️ I’d say if you are not dining in do not take out food from there. I don’t write reviews like this often but what i ate last night was really not good considering i paid $26 for all that. And on top of that i had severe stomach pain after eating the food. I’m sorry but I’d please do not sell rotten stuff by the end of the night or at-least recommend not to go with specific dishes coz they can taste a little funky.
Order from uber eats recently. Ordered their curried goat, curried duck, dhalpuri roti and doubles. The doubles were very tasty even tastier than from Lenas doubles and roti. The dhalputi roti were very filling very good size. The curried goat and curried duck were very tasty, was surprised however that the curry base was THE SAME for the curried duck and curried goat. I wouldve like different different tasting curries since they were two different types ordered.
I’m so disgusted by this place! My mom called this place regarding why they barely fill their fried rice container, and the lady at the front got so rude with my mom over the phone! She told my mom to “f” off. We paid $10.95 for a barely filled container of fried rice! What a scam. The owners name is Shiva and I called back to ask for him and the same lady picked up again and lied about him not being there! The girls that work at the front are lying scammers! Never going here again! We used to pick up food from here often for family events and this is how they treat their loyal customers! I will definitely be spreading the word about this terrible treatment.
They charged me $10: 95 for a container of fried rice. I came home only to see half the container is empty. These guys are rip offs. Do not consider going here. Called to speak to manager, coward rude lady who answered the phone says she's the manager. No customer service skills at all. Horrible place!
The food is good, no issues. My problem is whenever I order aloo pie with channa, I never get it. Do you even have that? Just got my order and yet again no aloo pie with channa, just aloo pie
Response to owner: I ordered through skip the dishes. I had got the aloo pie with channa before. I don't understand why it's an issue now.
Customer service is trash! They are so rude. I called like 30 mins ahead of time of my pick up and when I got there to pick up they were so rude because I asked approximately how long it will be.
I agree with S. Robert's review. We ordered Rotis and all you could taste is these over sized dried out chicken pieces. They were very bland and terribe tasting. We were very disappointed .
With 2 convienant locations in Brampton & Mississauga, Radica’s is your one stop shop for all of your trini favourites. Everything on the menu is delicious but today we had the bbq duck, bake & shark as well as the special chicken lo mein. Impeccable service as always! Love the new Brampton location.
Never in my life will I ever come back here again as long as I live. I asked a large chickpea and potato and I got some small looking bowl that they call the 20 oz. Not only that, but it was super light which means it's not filled up. All of this for $14. Whatever far. I used to love this place and come here all the time back in the days. Never again! Never again will I ever come here. I'd rather make my own food at home. Awful. Awful.
Best place to get doubles, aloo pie, paranthas with goat, chicken, shrimp curry, pepper shrimp, hakka style food, fish curry, daalpoorie, etc etc.everything is fresh and tasty. I worked there two years ago and I can say that the management is very serious about the customer satisfaction, sanitization and freshness of food.
Definitely no flavour in there doubles, aloe pie and no class in your saheena. Cut the saheena and cook it back. Kids eating this. Wouldn't be surprise someone getting sick.
Ordered a veggie platter on rice (baigan choka + channa and aloo). It was okay. The baigan lacked a little flavour but channa and aloo was still enjoyable. The only reason I won’t return, for now, is because none of the workers were wearing a mask.including the people in the kitchen handling the food.
*** EDIT ***
Changed my rating to a 4*. I accidentally reviewed the wrong location. This review is meant for the Mississauga location. I’ve been to the Brampton location and the food and service were great. I’d return to the Brampton location and not Mississauga.
I had the chicken curry at this place today! The chicken was way to dry and it seemed to be sitting in a pool of water that I think was supposed to be curry! My Guyanese family would not approve!
Its hard to find a place that makes a good roti. I've been coming there after work and lunch for 2 years. By far the best roti and doubles I've had in Toronto. 5 star all the way
The people who work here need to respect customers coming in as well as businesses who purchase here all the time. Due to covid 19 if you have 5 people inside you cannot wait for you pickup order inside you have to leave. So basically you don't need to play an order just cancel it. I wouldn't buy from this place for recommend to any of my friends or relatives.
Came from out of town Saturday afternoon there was a sign to order for pick up but it’s hard when no one answers the phone and when we go there it was busy and no social distancing. This needs to be taken care of. This is my third time visiting and to get a couples takes more then a half while I’m waiting outside. Terrible service consistently
I’ve ordered from this location multiple times through Skip the Dishes and Uber Eats and hands down, the food is tasty. However, I have an issue with the packaging used when you order from these food delivery services. My usual order includes a few of the vegetarian curries and dishes which are most often put together in a Styrofoam container. The dishes end up merging together in the container and leak out into the bag with the other items in my order causing a huge mess. Other restaurants serving Indian dishes will always separate the curries into individual Styrofoam/plastic containers with lids and tape. A little more effort with the packaging will go a long way. Customers are spending their money and shouldn’t have to deal with having their food in a mess. Like I mentioned, the food is good, but the lack of sustainable packaging takes away from the experience.
I bought paratha roti very delish, katahar curry very tasty but disappointed with the chicken fried rice. It tastes very bad had burnt cabbage and burnt onions. Not worth the money. Hope they do better cooking it better.
Hire less miserable staff, it matters. Also the portion size is way too small and over priced. My dollar don't get justice here. Would not recommend this place.
Horrific, order came unwrapped and the meat was in water no potatoes, when speaking to the manager he was rude said we had to leave isolation to take our order back. Totally unaccepta
Good place, busy location. The food is little spicy. If you are spicy lover, that’s the place for you. They need to work on improving their hygiene level. They won’t clean the tables quickly
I just want to say that the food is good at this restaurant but sometime they can mess up your order so carefully check before you leave the restaurant arefuwhen you order to check to see your order is correct before you leave the restaurant's pickup because get your
Roti and doubles excellent and I highly recommended. Lost two stars because I had a terrible experience with the callalloo running away from the rice and then with Pelau. The Pelau was sappy like rice in soup, meat was big chunks and seriously lacking flavour, to make it worse the rice was overcooked. I think this was reheated left overs Pelau because we definitely could not eat it and within a few hours it started to go sour and smell. I know fresh food. If you want good roti and doubles, hands down the best, but stay away from the creole selections. Maybe they should stick to what they know and scale down the menu. The staff is alright, could be a little more friendly.
Went last week they said no boneless chicken. Came today and the wrap was all potato and maybe three pieces of chicken. I don't know if it is the students working in the back or radicas is stingy now. If you think you are doing people a favor by selling them food think again. I work hard for my money and pay that much for food and I get ripped off. Never getting any of my money again. On top of it I waited 25 minutes for "boneless chicken" for me and wife 27 dollars.now I know why the man poured dahl all over moti's porche.
WORST experience with customer service today. I have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now & honestly the food is usually palatable.
However today my friend & I ordered the veggie platter with 5 items; bhaji had absolutely NO taste, pumpkin was a bit salty but tolerable, the tomato and the baaigan choka was overwhelmingly overpowering with onions and garlic to the point of burning my esophagus, the channa and aloo was replaced with the channa they put in the doubles which was fine (that tasted fine) & the roti was a bit under cooked.
When I returned 3 of the 5 items and brought this to the attention of the cashier and the SON.he immediately took it back to the kitchen and never returned. The cashier returned and said the he tried it and said it was fine. No offer to substitute the items was offered, no one came to address the matter with us.we spent $20.35 and left hungry.
I called when I got home and asked to speak to the owner. I made it clear that I did not want to speak with the son & a lady claiming to be the owner took the call. She was argumentative & did not allow me to speak. She insisted that her and her son cooked and it was fine and that I should not order veggie platter again if i had a problem. I told her that obviously they are being bias being the "chefs" & that I was only trying to inform them that their approach on rectifying the issue with the customer was below C/S standards. NEVER EATING FROM RADICAs AGAIN.
