Rainforest Cafe Niagara Falls

The interior is cool and has lots of awesome decor. I asked for a beer at the bar, and asked the price which the bartender ignored. He then poured me the biggest size and charged me $16 CAD. I thought it was dodgy that he didn't answer my question about the price; I felt a bit forced to pay for it. Very expensive and honestly the bar is a bit dingy.

Wife took my daughter for dinner while visiting her father. Daughter needed to use the bathroom so wife took her.came back to the table to find the space cleared and the remaining food gone. They were not done.but wife didn't want to make our young daughter go to the restroom alone. After getting a manager all they did was comp a kids chocolate milk and a sundae.what a joke for service. Manager was clearly taking advantage of the situation. Woman alone with a small girl. Sad.very sad.

To top it off.the waitress *miscalculated* my wife's change by $5.when she asked about it the useless little gash made a big deal about her having to *go upstairs* to speak to a manager to fix it.by now my wife was too fed up to deal with incompetence any longer and walked out.

Patrons beware.this place is a sad joke and they just want to treat their paying customers like a walking ATM.

Will never return to this location again.much better places to eat in this tourist trap of a town.

The food is terrible and the prices are extreme. The atmosphere is very nice though. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant but I do recommend sitting and enjoying a soda.

Our server was pretty good, but it didn't make up for less than stellar food, cracked seats, and taped up tables. It's dark in here, and that's fine for the environment. I did see several tables using cell phones to light up the menu to make their choices.

The prices are high, and I understand paying for the rainforest vibe. But after eating her kids pizza, my daughter apologized for having us come here. We tried the pizza and it was pretty rough, chewy crust and stale tasting cheese. My wife and I got the appetizer platter to split and found a lot of it flavorless. The cheese sticks were good. Everything else left something to be desired.

All in all, if we are ever back in Niagara we won't make a stop here. But if you like loud music and a dark atmosphere, by all means give it a go.

It's very. Atmospheric. There are fake animals all over the place and water falling around the bar area. Very loud. Very kid friendly. I love the aquariums. There's a table right next to some robotic gorillas. I would have really not liked being right next to them.

Saturday night 45' to 1 hours waiting for 7 peoples, not accepting table reservations by the time I was arrived

This place is good for the atmosphere. Absolutely amazing and my son loves it. Food is decent. Service is very slow due to this place being very busy. There's a 20 min wait to get table then about 45 min to get food after ordering. Lots of great photo opportunities with different interactive artificial animals.

The atmosphere is incredible and the staff were lovely. The food is generally great, if a bit pricey. My only note is the fries were a bit cold, but it by no means ruined the dinner.

Great place to enjoy the atmosphere and dine on typical well-made Western classics - on the long weekend we were there, there was not much of a wait to get in (which is great, but possibly only due to the pandemic)

Staff was friendly and attentive, food was great - the ribs were so tender they fell off the bone, and with the music and decor the atmosphere was perfect!
We were originally given a seat number when we arrived, but wanted to be closer to the large aquarium to watch the fish. They had no issues seating us right beside it which was wonderful! The fish looked healthy and well cared for and were fun to watch during our meal.

The place was excellent but the food was just too bad.just ordered pasta for around 30CAD but it was just bad.cost waa because of the location but taste was not good at all.

Location food was ok very pricy and they don't follow what there menu says. Wanted to charge extra for a glass I already paid for. Bathrooms were disgusting it would have been cleaner going out in the alley. Wont go back to this location. If I could give a negative rating I would

The Rainforest Cafe is waaaaaaay overpriced. Though the staff was good and our wait was short on a Saturday night (we only had to wait to have our vaccine records checked). My son (who’s on the autistic spectrum so food choices are limited) ordered a plain plate of pasta noodles and we were charged $29.99 CAD. My chicken sandwich was SUPER bland. We never need to go to this restaurant again.

I have always loved coming here but this one time the food didn't taste right, something was off I don't know what it was.

You really go to the Rainforest Cafe for the experience. The staff are delightfully friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic, but the food is mediocre at best and you're paying top tier prices. The best part of dining are the animatronic animals inside that will often move in a frenzy during a "thunderstorm" in the cafe. You currently cannot make reservations in advance so be prepared to wait an additional 45+ minutes to be seated, on top of the line to secure your spot for a table.

I remember going as a child and having a blast not the case now i you want to go look at out dated animatronics and tasteless food for mid to high range price eat here.

I was there Nov 12 with my family.my wife and i shared Mayas mixed grill the ribs were dry and tasteless so was the chicken i also got a Caesar salad and it tasted like romaine lettuce with watered down dressing. I was going to get a beer with my meal but when the food came and I tasted it I didn't even bother.the kids got pizza and spaghetti the sauce tasted worse than squeeze tube sauce at grocery store.all together it came just over 90 dollars would have been better off spending a little more and going to the Keg and actually enjoying ourselves.

The kids love it here! The ambiance is amazing. Prices are a bit heavy, but it is Niagara Falls.

Excellent service, delicious meals that were well portioned in a safe and well controlled atmosphere.

The atmosphere is incredible here. The animals do a little jig every 15 minutes or so and every 30 there's a "thunderstorm". The main draw of the rainforest cafe is definitely the decor but service was very good and the good was above average. You will absolutely be paying a premium price at this place though. I got a burger + beer and my wife got nachos and a virgin shirley temple. After tip it came up to $93 for us both. It was worth it for the experience but I can imagine it's tough on single income families.

Food were good but pricy. Nice place especially if you have little ones. Safari George if I’m not mistaken was courteous and respectful. Our first time to visit and definitely won’t be our last

Hubby had the best burger here he's had on years, and I had the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich I've ever had! Amazing good, and such delicious drinks. The animals are really cool, they have mild movements every so often (blinking, head turning) and every fifteen minutes they do a whole movement show. There's a thunderstorm every half an hour which is so much fun to experience. The galaxy is displayed on the ceiling with showing stars. A few super cool fish tanks. It's a really exciting, unique, beautiful place to be that serves the.most incredible food. 10/10, if you're nearby, drop in!

The ambiance here is the best part of the Rainforest Cafe. The food is alright, but a little too expensive for what it is - plus they do charge the dreaded "resort fee" here (although it isn't much).

My wife and I personally didn't receive good service when we went here, but since we have only been here once, I will give the benefit of the doubt to the staff this time.

Overall, I do recommend coming here at least once to experience the Rainforest Cafe.

Nice theme of the place with good drinks. Ambience is really nice but the food isn't that great.

It was a very busy day for them and since they were leaving space for social distancing, the wait was roughly an hour and 45 mins. There’s an arcade right by it to burn some time, but we just sat outside by the fountain and watched the sun go down. Food was good, they were very accommodating with helping our meal be Gluten Free with the burger bun and no croutons in the salad! They of course offer cool gifts and merchandise by their gift shop as well

My boyfriend and I went to the Rainforest Cafe. We sat and ordered drinks, which were extremely sweet and disgusting. We then realized the table they sat us at was filthy. My boyfriend’s arm was covered in an unknown sauce and I had little pieces of plastic on the table in front of me. After we ordered drinks we started looking at the menu. Everything, from burgers to chicken fingers, was over $15. I couldn’t believe it. We ended up ordering the spinach dip because it was the cheapest thing on the menu and we felt it was rude to order drinks and leave. The dip was oily and the chips it came with were stale. The couple next to us did the same thing. They both ordered a side Caesar salad and called it a day. Absolutely ridiculous. We went to the beer garden next door and got a beautiful cheese and meat platter for less than $20. The only reason I could see coming here was if you have kids. It’s a fun environment and cool decor but horrible food and drinks.

A very interesting place intended to take you out on a little adventure and it somehow does but not completely. The food wasn’t bad and our server was good but she was overwhelmed. Their hosts need to get trained on how to talk to and welcome guests.

Honestly wasn't impressed at how the service has gotten.

The food was awful, we ended up leaving it when we were finished. Over priced drinks and the server wasn't so friendly.

What used to be a fun experience was such a downer.

Also, they didn't tell us no cash when entering or before taking our order so when I got a $60 bill for a plate of fries, a cheese steak sandwich and 2 drinks. I only had $70 and was forced to tip $10 for a terrible meal

The Rainforest cafe has a beautiful ambiance that is quite unique from all of the restaurants that I have ever been to. The concept of feeling like you are in a forest with animal sounds and moving animatronics is amazing. The food. Not great. I ordered the appetizer platter which had a little bit of everything in terms of their appetizers and felt that the chicken was too dry or old and the pitas were bland and the tortilla chips were from a bag that had been opened 2 weeks ago. Basically, to me, it was not worth it.

I went for the first time today. And loved it. Joan P was our server and was the sweetest I have ever had. We had to wait 15 minutes which was fine, we understand that the kitchen needs to catch up before they add more orders. The food, though pricier, was tastey. The animatronics were neat to see for the first time, and I spent a little extra to get a cup to take home. The daquiri was great. Overall would go again. Would definately recommend asking for Joan too if I were to go again. I can't rave about her enough!

Not an organised way of booking and letting people in. You are wasting your time if you go there!

Can't believe the inside of this place absolutely amazing animals moving every 15 min thunderstorms every half an hour. The fish tank had a shark witch was amazing the eel was hiding unfortunately but apparently is amazing to see

Usually it's overcrowded, but during COVID19 pandemic it almost empty. Atmosphere is very nice, it really interesting especially for kids!

I took my family here last week. The food was awful not even my 2 year old would eat it. We all left hungry. The service was fast and everyone was super nice. I like the theme of the restaurant and so did my son but if you are going out to eat then I would not choose this place for the food.
Just disappointing!

Place was just ok. Felt very over priced for the quality of food given. 3 drinks 3 burgers $80+ for the bill. Place was dirty and not kept clean. Food on the floor. Probably will not go back

The food itself was alright, nothing special, food in the same vein as most family eatery's. Service was a tad on the slow side, especially given the restaurant was not overly full. It is definitely the environment and spectacle you pay for.

The biggest gripe was with the wait time. While tables were visibly empty, there was still a 25 minute wait. This was likely done to funnel people into the gift shop and arcade. Not appreciated, but not too surprising given it is on Clifton Hill.

Worth a visit at least once, but not much appeal beyond that.

Really neat atmosphere and dining experience. Expensive and food was just okay. When it’s busy they’ll give you a buzzer which they’ll call once a table is available.

Check the bill too. There’s an extra fee on top of your expensive meal. It’s called the PF fee on top of what you order. Ask your waiter/waitress about it.

There’s an arcade and a gift shop right outside the restaurant. Washrooms are okay.

As with other reviewers, the atmosphere here is really, really good. The food is really, really not good. I ordered a Po Boy that cost $23.99 CA. It was essentially tasteless shredded beef and a few veggies on a toasted hot dog bun. I'm not kidding. It was actually on a hot dog bun. The fries were limp, but nothing that enough vinegar and salt couldn't fix. It's unfortunate that they really don't have to worry about food quality because it's a once in a lifetime meal for most people. I'd say, go in, look around, and walk back out.

My family of 8 decided to come here for dinner prior to the fireworks at 9pm. We let the waiter know we were in a hurry. He said it was quiet (and it was) that there would be no problem getting in and out by the time fireworks started. It was 7: 57pm on December 23rd. Our waiter took our drink order and came right back and took our food order. We didn't see him again for 30 minutes. We were out of drinks, the kids wanted refills, and we wanted refills as well as I wanted to place an order for a beer. A family came in behind us and actually went to the kitchen to see where the waiter was as he hadn't even taken their drink order. When the kitchen staff came out to deliver the food, they heard our requests for more drinks and got the waiter. I expressed my displeasure and asked to speak to a manager. My son asked for a cheeseburger, the waiter said 'no cheese'. We responded he would like the cheese, as the menu stated cheeseburger, and he wanted a cheeseburger. The burger came out with no cheese. We asked for spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer and reminded him that we were in a hurry and not to put any delay on the remainder of the food because we were ordering an appetizer. Just bring everything out as it was ready. We didn't get the appetizer until the food came out. In addition, I ordered a philly cheesesteak, I can't remember what the menu item is called but it's a cheesesteak. It was cold, so much so that the cheese didn't even melt. I pointed out all these things on top of not seeing the waiter for more than 30 minutes since we placed the food order. The manager was the nicest person. I apologized for getting all angry. The manager said he wanted to ensure I didn't leave the establishment hungry and offered to replace my cheesesteak with something to go. I responded that that wasn't the reason for my complaint but I appreciated the offer although I would not take him up on the offer. He ended up comping the appetizer and my son's meal. Which was not expected. I just wanted him to know about the bad service. The way the manager handled it was wonderful. Being in management myself I know I wasn't being an easy customer and I apologized for that. He handled it with grace and made it right. I ended up leaving a small tip for the waiter for getting us drinks, but that was it.

Food wasn't anything special but you pay for the entertainment factor. Nice ambiance but a little loud and very slow service. It's a show for the children more than anything.

Tourist trap. Overpriced food that was sub par. There are better options at Niagara Falls. The only reason it got two stars was because the server did a great job. Would not recommend to come here. Will not be back.

This place is really awesome for kids, Family, couple and friends. The theme of this cafe s so amazing. And now they started to take pictures o all the customer and give them 1 free postcard and other pics with very nominal rates. Every one like to take a pictures in this cafe.

Just went. As always the environment is a show stopper! But the waitress was one of the best I have ever had. If you go PLEASE! Ask for Nikki. She is one of the nicest and most caring waitresses in Canada. Leave a big tip for her, she deserves every penny! In Niagra it can get a bit pricey, for two we almost paid $75 American dollars. 2 entrees and 2 fountain drinks. But.after all it is rainforest cafe and there is no other place quite like it. It’s really is like taking a trip back to childhood. Ribs were good, burgers were awesome as well. Good food, best service, killer atmosphere. What else could you ask for.

Les effets spéciaux sont intéressants pour les jeunes enfants mais le décor n'a pas changé depuis des années. La nourriture n'est pas très bonne et c'est dispendieux pour une famille. Le service est loooooooong, lent et lamentable. Même dans les heures sans Rush. Un concept à renouveler.

The food was overpriced, if the quality was better I would understand because of the entertainment value for the kids but the food was not that good at $21 for a cheese burger. Not to mention the fact that we had 3 thunderstorms before we even received our food, which wasn't even hot, which means we waited for an hour and a half. If the quality was better, and that meant smaller portion sizes I would have still been happy.
Also, there were so many staff members just standing around doing nothing. This place has so much potential, too bad, they could have so much more business and we are very disappointed. I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 because my toddler really enjoyed the gorillas and the fish. She had a great time.

I took my mom to the Rain forest Cafe in Niagara Falls for her birthday and there are are not enough words to describe how special they made us feel especially my mom. The staff was so pleasant and so friendly. We were placed in the most perfect spot and sermed to get all the attention lol. Staff was chatting with us as we were served the most delicious meals there. They brought my mom the biggest free birthday dessert ever! The manager Julie came over to us and we thank her and her staff who treated us so warm and kind. Honestly this team was like Gods angels to us! God bless the staff who shared so much laughter with us that day! We love you guys! And we hope to visit soon again! God bless!

Extremely expensive and very outdated. Very gimicky, but honestly, the kids will probably like it. Lots to see for the kiddos but the adults will probably scoff at the food and prices.

Haven't been here in years! I had a spicy stir fry and the wife had some sort of chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce. The veggies that came along with the chicken seemed like they were out of a can.

We brought our 17mth old and we had to "park" our stroller. Wasn't a huge fan of that as they had a tonne of room and honestly could have fit a bus beside our table.

Nothing spectacular, busy, not enough waiters/waitresses, service was slow, food was mediocre and bill was large, for the experience we had it wasn't worth it

Went there on the evening of Nov 10,2018 waited for over 40 minutes for appetizer to arrive, they decided to substitute some items without even telling us, the food tasted worse then microwaved M&M's. Finally childrens' meals arrived once again they substitued fresh fruit cup for french fries quite a difference in nutritional value. The children did not eat their pizza or hot dog. Finally our meals arrived I order a burger the bun was still frozen however had grill marks on it. My daughter's meal was cold as well and my son-in-law's meal again was cold as well as all being unappetizing. They took away the price of the 3 meals since we did not eat them, however charged us over $66 for 2 kids meals and an appetizer plate that was half eaten and not what we ordered. Would never go back there again. Absolutely disgusting.

Fantasic service, the food was absolutely great, and the atmosphere was interesting. Only problem was that on the ribs there was more bone & cartilage than meat, but that aside I’d totally recommend this place to anyone.

Average Food, Above Average price. Fun experience for the kiddies.as long as they don't mind the occasional thunder and lightning show. A few kiddies get a little unnerved. All said.it's a worthy destination.but when you've seen one, you've seen them all.

Beautiful idea. Nice to come with kids because of decor. Service is horrible. Tables are mot cleaned properly. Takes fprever to order to get food and to get cheque. Plus extremely overpriced. Cocktail drinks are good though, but again overpriced.
