Pretty nice and quiet place. Good restaurant with live music and nice view outdoor sitting.
Service could be better and rooms could be cleaner. But it is OK for the price. There is a balcony in each room with very nice lake view.
I guess there are two real use for the place:
There is a good marina and it makes much sense to stay in the hotel if you have a boat or going to rent one from the place.
There are many wineries around the place. Staying in Ramada saves you lots of effort while you explore local vineyards and distilleries.

We booked this Ramada for a little stay cation get away, to say farewell to summer! Only to be told after all is paid for that the pool is closed for Reno’s… isn’t that something that should have been posted on the site that boasted beautiful photos of an indoor pool included with price of the room!? !? ! Now we are in the middle of no where with nothing to do…

We rented a two rooms for a party at the Beacon. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The environment was nice. The views were stunning. The food they catered was absolutely fabulous.

If you have a chance to visit, have a wedding/ party, stay or simply launch your personal watercraft from here do so.

It's a stunning place and I think everyone should have a visit to enjoy the area.

I’ve been wanting to stay here since I first drove past here, I even thought wow what a good view especially for a wedding but wow I’m so dissatisfied.so I am staying here RN and since we’ve checked in we’ve had a few issues, the first room Was FULL of bugs, so many nats it was gross, our 2nd room is okay, there’s hair on the washroom floor, still nats, dirty dressers lack of plugs, just overall not it.
Location is good it’s beside the highway and in front of the lake.
Don’t get me wrong I understand buisness and other things but it’s clear there’s a lack of carelessness so maybe if that changed it would be better.

DO NOT STAY HERE
We stayed as it was the suggested Hotel for a wedding. It is not a three star hotel like it is listed on the Internet the staff kept telling us that they are a one star hotel and that’s the level of service they are going to offer. We returned late on our third night from a wedding reception to find our entire room infested with fruit flies that were coming up from the drains. The staff was not able to move us to a different room because they had a housekeeping shortage and then they tried to blame the fruit flies on us because we had used cosmetics in the room. It was like a scene from hell, we could not even breath in the room without bugs being inhaled. We had to find a late night room in an alternate hotel and get transportation to a different town this was in the middle of the night we had to pack up all of our things the staff was extremely unsympathetic and said that they would not charge us for the night that our room was infested and we could not sleep there. (Yea no duh…) The one girl at the desk made us a fly trap out of some vinegar in a wine glass and gave us a bottle of extremely hazardous spray to spray all over our beds which we decided was against our best health decision. I complained to the hotel and to Wyndham the hotel owner said that that was the best she could do because I guess she just didn’t care to give a good impression of the hotel. It was extremely traumatic to pack up all of our things in the middle of the night and run around the area trying to find somewhere to sleep. Wyndham told us that this is an independently owned hotel and has absolutely nothing to do with Ramada or Wyndham and there is nothing that they can do in a customer service respect. We heard from other hotels in town that this hotel has been inherited by someone that is intentionally running it into the ground.

No elevator. If you are disabled stay away. Room smells moldy. Air confirming LOUD.sink stopped up and plumbing literally moves around on top of the sink. Carpet dirty. Sheets? Uncomfortable. View of lake? Get past the machinery first. Do not eat at the restaurant.

Honestly, i am pretty disappointed with their OVERALL SERVICE. I chose to stay here for 5 nights. Firstly, their swimming pool is not operational and their staff does not know when it will be operational again.

Secondly, its 2nd night in a row that my room is not cleaned up by the room service and i got my room in a same messy condition even after several requests i made to them, the front desk has not clue for that.

Yesterday, when i requested for room service they said that their staff is busy and they can’t come for the room cleaning (which means they have a scarcity of staff) today they forgot to clean the room again.

My room telephone is not working and again they do not have anyone to fix the issue and i have to go to the front desk by my self again n again for any minor issues.

The only satisfactory thing in the hotel is the beach view and room size which they offered.

However, i am pretty dissatisfied with the service i have received: (

Currently staying here…checked in Wednesday July 11th…it is now Friday and room has not been serviced…no towels, no change of bedding AND no toilet paper…complained to front desk who were indifferent…restaurant is okay…nice location…constant repairs ongoing…this is a $125.00 a night definitely not over $250…would not recommend it…Wyndham should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this hotel…

My wife and I have eaten here many times. Love the veiw of the water and boats. But our visit today was not very good. It started off very good, but a little time during dinner service slipped off the way side. Asked for desert menu and coffee, tea. We waited and waited, but coffee was cold and the service was not there anymore. I mentioned to the server that.that service has slipped but she blamed it on understaff. Not nice at all! Leaving us hanging like that. It was almost 200$ meal. So sad. Very angry when I left!

The queen suite was a bit of a joke, dirty floor, dingy bathroom, dated furniture.its a nice place to watch the water and being next to the highway steady hum of cars

Rooms needs serious renovations. No Lift to go downstairs, very bad smell and lots of flies all across. Would highly recommend to avoid this.

Only good thing is the Marina and few staff members who are helpless

Location is great but the resort is very poorly renovated and managed. The key card didn’t work about 5 times, our room was located at the very end right by the water. Had to go back and forth over 10+ times to reprogram the card. The rooms were very outdated, stains on walls and beds. Small bugs. Was not a pleasant experience. I had tried to contact the owner, however no response.

Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of the QEW. All rooms have a full view of the lake and beautiful grounds. The majority of the room have balconies which made the summer night very enjoyable. Our room was recently renovated with modern fixtures and clean cut style. It had all of the necessary features for a pleasant stay. The pool was well kept and clean. The hotel had an amazing restaurant called the Beacon with a huge patio overlooking the water and the Toronto skyline. The food was nothing short of gourmet with exceptional choices such as prosciutto wrapped scallops, prime rib, New York steak and tempura shrimp. Although it is right off the highway you wouldn’t suspect it as there are no rooms on that side of the hotel making it extremely quiet. I would stay here again if ever I am visiting the St. Catherine’s, Niagara area again.

If you want your best day to be your worst, then go ahead and book this venue for your wedding. We came across many problems, which could have easily been solved with proper communication. To start, they did not warn us about a change in wedding coordinator: I had emailed the wedding coordinator we first were assigned to after we just paid for the first deposit, and after several emails and no response, I finally sent a follow up email raising the complaint of lack of communication. After this, I was then informed that the wedding coordinator resigned and that we would get a new one. There was also a total lack of communication: The wedding coordinator was not responsive at all until 2 days before the wedding. I always had to follow up email after 5-6 days each time to ask if they had saw my email and after raising the complaint about lack of communication, they would respond immediately, then not change their behaviour at all afterwards. This problem was the same with phone calling. We were also not informed about no proper working air conditioner: When asked consistently, we were given vague answers (“were working on it”) and was constantly told it will be done by the next day. The day before the wedding, we were told that it would be done by tomorrow, and the day of the wedding, my husband called to ask for updates and always the same response, “were working on it”. They provided 2 AC machines and 1 fan which was absolutely not enough for a wedding of 50 people in July, which on top of that had many guests with health conditions. On top of this, we noticed that the servers were profusely sweating due to the AC situation. Also, the day before the wedding when we were able to decorate the venue, we were given to vacuum the venue instead of the workers: When asked if they could vacuum the venue for us, they handed it to us to vacuum the venue ourselves. There was also a lack of preparedness: Although we paid for a mock-tail service, my husband himself had to chase down staff most of the time during our wedding event to ask why there wasn’t a mock tail bowl since we had paid for that. The wedding coordinator then answered “Oh but you told us that you were going to bring it yourselves. ”. First off, that doesn’t make sense since you are a resteraunt, so obviously that should be no problem to serve, but also this was not correct at all because a few weeks before our wedding, myself and my husband’s family met with him and reminded him about what we wanted for the buffet service, including the mock tail bowl. There was also lack of support during all aspects of our wedding, as my husband practically had to get up and leave to our table in the venue just to find our wedding coordinator or anyone to help us. On top of all this, there was not enough food: we were given butter but no bread was on any of the tables. On our buffet, we had both chicken and beef as our main entrees and many of our guests only got one of both. Also some of our guests said they did not get potatoes. This is ridiculous because the service we paid for was a buffet, yet there was not enough food. At the end of all this, my husband and I lost total trust in their abilities to pull off our event. We hope this review helps at least one person not choose this place.

A la réception la commis na pas l habitude avec le service a la clientèle, nous sommes arrivés a l avance et elle n a pas penser de faire préparer, donc nous avons du attendre 2 heures, au souper le menu était très bien j ai commander la bavette de boeuf et j ai reçu un contre filet, une des serveuses m a dit que ma commande est la, mais je connais la viande et elle a essayé de me convaincre que c ´est de la bavette, j ai fini par avoir gain de cause et elle ma proposé un rabais sur la facture que j’ai accepté, arrive a la chambre j ai voulu écouter la télévision mais elle ne fonctionne pas, une tres mauvaise expérience client je ne recommande pas, je vous déconseille…

This is a little gem of a stay. As a CAA member I secured a room on a Friday of long weekend for 135$. This was such a steal of a deal as the hotel was right on the harbourfront, with beautiful views! The beds were so unbelievably cozy, and the pillows were amazing! Check in/out was a pleasant, speedy experience and the staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel!

This hotel has a beautiful location on Lake Ontario. As a facility, it is average at best. What a wonderful location it could be, but it falls short. It obviously needs help as far as maintenance and updating. There is no elevator to take your luggage to the Second floor. The ice machine on the second floor is broken. I believe the price was fair, but I’m not sure if I would stay here again.

Restaurant sucks, there are no breakfast included, the pool doesn't work yet they keep it open and low on water, the only good thing is the gorgeous marina and some staff are overly amazing, beware there's a bar an another eatery in the hotel so if the hotel is busy you will hear drunk people stuff

Your rooms were dirty.
The beds were really dirty.
We left at 11pm because we couldn't sleep in the bed.
The lights didn't work in the room we were.
The door knob came off in the bathroom and my daughter got stuck.
We had to change 3 rooms to get the room from which we escaped in the middle of the night.
We didn't even receive a receipt or even an apology.
I paid for a room with 2 queen beds but was given a room with a king size bed and no refund was given for the room change.
It was a terrible experience
The key cards didn't work.ohh god don't go there

This place was disgusting. Go anywhere else if you can. Our room was dark and dingy and smelt like mold. The bathroom had hair on the wall and on the towels from the previous occupant and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned.
