I thought i was in the heaven while having raijin (especially hakata tonkotsu) i cant stop thinking of it even now. And it is my first time to write the review
When it comes to satisfying my ramen cravings, this place always tops my list. Despite its cozy size and frequent full-house status, it's a go-to spot for me. I'd highly recommend making reservations in advance, but if you're more of a spontaneous diner, they've got a convenient QR code on the door to join the waitlist.
My personal favorite is the spicy tonkotsu ramen with pork cha siu, and I never forget to add a marinated soft-boiled egg to complete the experience. The broth strikes the perfect balance, offering just a subtle kick of spice that allows you to savor it as soup without setting your taste buds on fire. The noodles are consistently cooked to al dente perfection, and the broth is rich and flavorful. Portions are hearty enough to leave even the hungriest patrons satisfied.
Beyond the delicious food, the restaurant itself is kept clean and well-organized, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience. The servers are friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall ambiance. On top of all that, I've also tried the kiromitsu kinako ice cream - a delightful treat featuring vanilla ice cream topped with soybean flour and black sugar syrup. The combination of flavors and textures was truly a winner.
Really great ramen! I tried the Spicy Tonkatsu and it was so creamy and perfectly spicy. I will definitely be going back on a cold day. The vibe is great and drinks are fairly cheap.
I loved my Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen! I also tried the Miyakanbai Junmai Daiginjo sake and it was delicious! Note - There was a 90 minute limit table limit when we went in.
Had the ramen combo that comes with a donburi of your choice. I got the Mayo chicken donburi and that was delicious, though there's a lot more rice than the toppings. The spicy tonkatsu ramen was really tasty as well, I preferred it over the shoyu ramen that I tried as well. Forgot to take a picture of the desserts, but the pudding was better than the ice cream for me.
After it hits your taste buds you will start seeing life in a different way. Colours will be a bit brighter, laughter will come easier, even passion fruit will be less ugly.
I have visited a lot of ramen shops in Toronto, Montreal, and on the west coast, and can confidently say this one is my favourite. An authentic and delicious experience every time. Their Tsukemen is a must try. The drinks are very reasonably priced as well! Do yourself a favour and stop at Raijin!
An authentic Hakata tonkotsu ramen restaurant. It was very delicious. The mini spicy pork bowl was also delicious. Prices are reasonable. The store was busy and lively.
A hidden gem (no really, it's hard to find if you don't know where it is). Authentic dishes and outstanding flavours, if I lived in Toronto I would eat here as often as I could! Cannot fault the service, the staff are very helpful and the whole atmosphere feels very welcoming.
Definitley recommend this place. If You’re the downtown area and you’re hungry and craving dor something healthy, light, and delicious with a decent price you should visit this place without a doubt. The staff’s supet friendly, the place is super clean, the chef’s amazing and the wait time for your food is less than 10 min.
This is definitely one of the best Ramen spots in town. I would definitely recommend this place. Not only is the food worth the price but, the staff always make you feel welcome and give you time when you need it… The food was amazing the broth was super rich and creamy and the noodles were perfect. I would definitely come back! Also make sure to try their frozen ramen!
Hearty food with great quality and reasonable price. The wait time was insanely long although it was not that busy. It seemed that a big group stayed too long so it wasn’t their fault.
Probably my absolute favourite ramen place in the GTA and has been for the past few years.it’s really hard finding a good ramen place with good portions, but the quality of food here is absolutely amazing! I cannot stress how much I love the ramen here. Trust me, if you haven’t been here, it’s a must try!
Delicious, great service & good value. The tonkotsu broth is amazing and has so much flavor. Everything was perfect and there was a large crowd inside as it is very popular. Perfect for a cold/ rainy day.
I cannot begin to say how convenient and delicious the take home frozen ramen dishes are from Raijin! I’ve never actually had the pleasure of sitting down for a fresh bowl at the restaurant but was led to them but a ramen enthusiast on Tiktok.
I live up past Barrie but find myself in TO once and a while, each time I make sure to stop in and grab 8-10 of their to-go dishes because of how much they’ve improved my life at home. Making dinner on the run, or a high quality bite to eat at the end of a long day is no longer an impossible task but a simple 5-7 minute, 1 pot affair. Tada! Downtown quality in the comfort of my living room.
Nice little restaurant. We tasted their ramen and curry. And I prefer the curry. I think the ramen is good but not enough to impress me. The staff is friendly and kind. The water was good but the plastic glass seemed damaged
