Ramgarhia Sikh Society, Toronto

Can anyone tell me if the gurdwara sahib provides the place to live for the international students, i am looking for the place to have accommodation for just 2 3 days

Got soulful joy of Shabad Kirtan Gurubani Gurudwara Sahib is a very sacred place, the mind becomes happy here after doing satsang and taking the Guru's prasad in the langar, the ultimate satisfaction

Beautiful and serene place. I have been here twice and both the times it has been a good experience. Gurudwara is super clean and people are very warm.
Langar and kada prasad will remind you of India:)

Langar is always available. The person who makes langar is the best. Always helpful.

One of the more elegant Gurudwara Sahebs in the GTA that is not as well or widely known. A must visit. The area is quite serene and gives off a sense of tranquility.

This is my 1st Gurughar when I come to visit in 1991 since when I go hear I love this experience and I did volunteer work more then 10-12 years 2004 we have 100+ students in class

This is; with respect; in contradictions to the comments made by the Mr. J Suri, see picture ID attached, where he says ". This is where Tarkhans" meet". This is a very disappointing comment with a very narrow vision on his behalf.

Please Note: All the Gurdwaras in Sikh religion are Gurdwaras, period.
This Gurdwara is only "managed" by the "Ramgarhia Sikh Society" and gurdwara is of Baba Nanak. The management welcomes ALL each and everyone regardless of their societal status, cast or Gotra etc.

The Ramgarhia Sikh Society, as the name suggests is made up of "Ramgarhias". The Society has 2 wings to it a. Social Committee and b. The Religious Committee.

The Social Committee does the social activities that can include, Picnics, Dinner Nights, Punjabi, Music & Computer classes, Seniors Meets, Site-Tours, Cruises; movie days, whatever may be popular among members.

The Religious Committee runs the Gurdwara, organizes Gurupurabs and Khalsa Day parade, Kirtan Darbars etc.

Lastly, Tarkhans are "CRAFTSMEN", skill-trade and "Born Engineers" -highly educated and working in all the fields of profession as Baba Nanak said " KIRAT KARO" make honest living and we are proud of that ji.

I don't think word can express the holiness of this place and the welcoming behavior of the people.

The place is really good and clean but the attitude of the old man who governs this place is not at all good. He thinks he is the one that controls everything, right from langar to everything else. Unfortunately, he has forgotten the teachings of Sikh religion.i. E.to love others, be humble, and be kind, and to treat others with respect.
