Rangoli

First and last time (take out experience). Food tasted horrible! As previous comments, tandori chicken over cooked and dry with a fish taste and smell, butter chicken sauce tasteless and chicken tasted old and reheated. Simply not edible! Complete waste of money.
Vegetables mix was mainly spicy sauce with hardly no vegetables. If fresh and quality food is a priority, for you, go elsewhere. A few indian food restaurants in the downtown area are worth the extra drive!

20$ Lunch combo specials had lots variety and was very tasty. I had the Shrimp Saag, and I really wanted to lick my bowl because I can't eat Naan. They substituted Papadums for me, which are GF. Hubby had Chicken Korma he said it was damn tasty, and his Naan was fresh, soft, and nice crisp exterior. Service was quick and friendly. We had eaten take out here before, and it was equally excellent.

Have visited once and gotten takeout multiple times. Always delicious and excellently priced for the amount of food you get!

Went for lunch with a friend. Several good lunch combinations are available.
Tasty and enjoyable. The decor and building are showing its age.

Rangoli gets a lot of hype from its Orleans patrons and rightfully so, for its butter chicken and aloo gobi.

Otherwise, for me, it’s really hit or miss here. The fish curry had a bit too much of a fishy smell and taste for my liking. The tandoori chicken and chicken pekoras, a bit too dry, having to rely on sauces for moisture. Even basics, like rice, has been hard.

After dining here 3 times, consistency may be lacking and even care, perhaps relying too much on its name and reputation.

The lamb and beef saag is amazing! The ratio of curry sauce and meat though is TERRIBLE. The dish (although flavorful) is 90% curry sauce and 10% meat. The entire portion has only about 4 cubes of meat and this HUGE serving on curry sauce. The dish is $21. This is way over priced for literally a bowl of sauce and 4 cubes of meat. This is my 4th time ordering thinking each order was just a mishap. I ordered again this evening and specifically asked for more meat. They didn't follow instruction and again I received a huge bowel of sauce only and 4 pieces of cubed meat. For that reason I give it a 3 star rating. I will not order again!

I really like the buriyani and samosas but the butter chicken was essentially boneless chicken thighs swimming in ketchup.

Thali was good, to the exception of the tandoori chicken which lacked flavour and was a bit stale. A smile goes a long way, the service was not on the friendlier side

The most grimmest/ unwelcoming ever cashiers / servers (ladies) on the restaurant floor.food and ambiance was good. Food was overpriced

The butter chicken, the lamb vindaloo are to die for! Hands down the best indian food in ottawa.
So much flavour.
