The house made Sunglasses lenses I had replaced in my old sunglasses frame are phenomenal. I have never seen this clearly even with high end sunglasses bought in a shop.

I have had some issues with Rapp over the years - in particular a former employee tried mansplaining colour theory to my partner and I when we were in looking for glasses. She is a photography professor, and I have worked with NASA and the Canada Space Agency on hyperspectral satellites. We didn't get a chance to get a word in edgewise. BUT, their glasses are beautiful, and my most recent experience with them was above and beyond in terms of customer interaction. Expect them to be a bit prickly, but also expect to get a beautiful pair of glasses that will be right for you.

Prescription lenses came out horribly, could not see clearly through them and they did not fix it. Note: my prescription hadn’t changed, I was looking to get a new pair for fun and despite telling them twice with 2 opticians that I couldn’t see through them they sent me home each time to “get used to them”. Never going back and don’t recommend to anyone ever. $1200 down the drain. My optometrist and another optical store confirmed they installed the wrong power lenses.

Despite the original negative reviews I read, I went here. Wow what a great experience. I started off with emails of my prescription and screen shots of what I was looking for to save time. When I got there I met with Ariel.
He helped pick out different frames to suite my prescription etc. It was truley a team effort between all of them. The service was phenomenal. Didn't feel presured in any way. It is expensive and the lenses are very expensive. I am getting the lenses elsewhere. If you want a cool trendy frame and great service that go above and beyond, go here.

Mel Rapp has been wonderful to me for 20 years. Great advice, service and music when in-store. Some sage life advice too.

Can I give it 10 stars? ! I've been getting all of my eyewear from Rapp for several years. Even my 87 year old mother shops there. It is the only place I will shop. I love that they have such unique, stylish and edgy frames and they only carry a few in each style and colour so the chances of seeing someone else wearing them is highly unlikely. When you wear glasses all of the time, it becomes part of your look and image and Rapp glasses make me look unique and different from everyone else. I am constantly stopped by people complimenting me on my glasses and asking me where I got them. I also absolutely LOVE the owners Julia and Mel, and Melissa has a great eye and is always my deciding vote on which frames to get. Can you tell I'm a huge fan? !

I have so much to say, but lazy to write. I wish I could record. In these pandemic times, its finding ways to feel good.
I bought my first pair from Rapps about 5 years ago.
The compliments I got made me feel like a superstar. Well, I thought I'd lost them and ran back hoping to find something similar if not the same. Well, now with Rapps it's one of a kind. I was assisted with patience to find the ultimate pair. I must say I'm selfish. I didn't want what someone else could find.
Again a winner was found. Yes, many are distracted by my glasses but they remember who I am. My frames make a statement. They are elegant and unique. They tell you about the person wearing them. I am
special and I am.blessed. The glasses I have chosen are one of a kind. I guard them now.
If you want unique statement pieces Rapps is your place.
Take your time, the staff will be there every step of the way.
Love me some Julia and the other staff but she made it special.

Fantastic selection of frames and wonderful service. I tried on dozens and dozens of frames and never felt rushed. The owner, Julia, has a superb sense of what looks good on a face.she even outfitted my teenage daughter - and that is no small accomplishment.
I needed three-stage progressives and the lenses they provided are amazing with so little distortion. Amazing. Thank you, Rapp!
