Made an appointment for today at 4 a week ago to open an account. However, I waited till 4: 40 and still got no updates or greetings from any staffs. The whole branch is having an extremely poor time management, and lack of customer service/ communication skills.

Strongly recommend not to come to this branch even if you have made a booking, not even have to mention about walk in unless you want to waste your time here for nothing.

So uncomfortable to talk with its mortgage specialist Ray. When I asked him if my identity would affect mortgage, he said I finally told him the true. I felt: ? I didn‘t lie to him from the beginning but just asked a question. He was aggressive during the conversation, emphasizing the document I provide must be real. He thought clients would lie to him. Also 23 mins more wait than the appointment time. These above make me give up RBC mortgage service. Some RBC employees should be recalled and trained for being more professional.

Went to the branch two weeks ago to request a client card so I can start using my savings account. They promised the card will be sent by mail within 7-10 business days. It’s been over two weeks and of course nothing came in. Today when I called I was told the card was never requested and I have to go to the branch again and wait another 10 business days for a card. I mean what can be easier than issuing a debit card? All other banks would just give it to you right away. Very disappointed: (

I would not recommend this branch as they took nearly 14 days to get my debit card and another 20 days for them to provide me with a credit card. They don't answer the phone and when, amid COVID-19 lockdown, I went there personally to check, only then they applied for my credit card.

Made an appointment today at 2 pm a week ago. Waited 20 mins past the appointment time and I asked why I am waiting this long. The employee mentioned that the advisor has been notified at 2 pm. No effort to rectify or show apology. Pls value customers time as much as you do yours.

I had to go again to another branch because they gave me the wrong statements - they didn’t even understand what I needed & didn’t bother to confirm.
Keep in mind that they do not have parking anywhere near!

Disorganized branch, came from another part of the city in rush hour to see business developer in this specific branch! Teller approached me 20 min later and ask me to go and see the person in another branch as she was relocated lately. Disgusting! Playing with people time. Never want to have any experience with this RBC branch anymore.

We went there to sign a document (just that) ; the teller who we had an appointment with was polite and helpful. She left the room to bring us the documents but came back with Mr P. L, a financial planner. This guy was so pushy and aggressive in soliciting his service that the minute he walked in he started asking how much money we make, where we live, how much we have in other institutions etc; he even told us he's certified to look at our data in other institution, what a nonsense! First of all, we didn't ask to see a financial planner so this was a total waste of time! Second, I hope they know that they should earn the business by establishing trust rather than intruding into customers private information and wasting clients time!

I got the great service with Nazanin as always. She's been my financial advisor for 5 years and she always provided a great customer service. She always helps me make a good decision with all my banking stuff. Go back to her again for sure.

Dishonest lying sales practices. Worse yet, they lied over something as tiny as an account. One can only imagine the lengths they would go to to sell a mortgage if they’re willing to blatantly lie over something that could not amount to more than a few dollars in commission. Beware beware

They are friendly though. So I gave 2 stars instead of 1.

This is the worst RBC I have ever been to because the teller made a serious mistake in his process. I came to exchange some Japanese yen, and I was told that the money should be ready in 4 business days. I let the teller know that he need to be careful on the timing as our trip is coming (two days after his promised date). When I came to the branch to pick up the money, his colleague could not find anything. Its funny that When we ordered the money he told us confidently that we may even be able to get this money 1 day early. More ridiculously, When he did this process there was a manger behind him directing him on the process. Eventually, it turned out that the order did not go through at all. Hey RBC teller, how can you over promise us when you did not perform your process correctly? Did you get trained well? You even had a manager behind you, or your manager messed it up as well? I hope you learned your lesson. Because I am just a normal customer not a VIP.

Beside this terrible incidence, there was some other factors that made our experience unpleasant. On average, for my two visits, I spent nearly 45mins for each visit, and each time I did not receive good and complete service. People were slow and you could feel them ready to go Christmas vacation right away. We observed two other tellers in serving other customers and it turns out that not all tellers are trained well. Each of those requested teller from the other counter to help and those people were on the counter for around 30mins. I cannot believe that this is RBC!

My suggestion for young tellers at this branch is to walk out of your branch turn right to the TD branch next to you. Sit in there and observe how the tellers serve and perform in front of each of their customers. Yes, my issue with the ridiculous foreign exchange at RBC was compromised through TD as a young teller was able to find 10,000 JP yen for me. The whole process took only 5 mins and the young teller also provided information to us as to where we can get the rest JP yen within 24 hrs.

Overall, this may not be a incidence that RBC people would bother to read. But my incidence really sets a red flag in how its branch level managers manage, train, and facilitate their tellers. I was not compensated well at all at RBC and guess what, a manager even blamed me for not submitting my JP yen order online. Quoting her “ if you guys submit your order online, it will go through and you would even got the rate locked, and would not have today’s issue. ” Excuse me? ! I am sorry that because I did not feel comfortable submitting a foreign exchange order online (as I trust your branch people) and I came to you and caused your teller to not processing my order correctly? !

This is a terrible experience overall. But we still want to thank the other teller Daniel who tried to help us out.

Overall, stay away from this branch unless you want to waste 45mins of your life and end up getting nothing. They are slow and they make lots of excuses! I have seen other reviews on this branch about they only serve the Asians nicely.hm.no! It is not right because I am an Asian and I still receive bad and slow services. Being lazy is not targeted to any race, it is just a universal phenomena at this particular branch.

Most Returded banking service ever. Guy asked me to give him exact change for a deposit. In which bank in the world people go with exact change? After that he is running around to different people for breaking a $50 bill. Not just that in the end he doesn’t give me my changes back! Can a bank actually do that?

Just like most businesses at Yonge and Finch 99% of the staff are Chinese, Korean, and Iranian. They cater only to Chinese, Korean, and Iranian. You get substandard service if you are outside of those cultures. I opened some investments accounts at this branch, all of them had to be closed by customer service. The associate who helped me at Yonge & Finch was very technologically-challenged; more importantly, she was not aware enough about the products she offered me, and everything I had done at this branch ended up inconveniencing me more. Since finance is not a joke, it would be essential that people dealing with your finances would have nearly flawless English-speaking skills. I did file a complaint with RBC but the manager/assistant-manager at this branch never followed up. It's unbelievable the way business is ran here.

I’m an RBC loyal customer (specially yonge and finch location which is my home branch) for 8 years now and I’ve refered many of my friends and clients (I’m a real estate agent).
As a former emmigrant and a current Canadian Citizen, RBC has always been one of the most welcoming and most culture-oriented institutions my family and I have visited. However, with recent change of branch management, my experience has radically changed. As a matter of fact, my parents and many of my clients can’t speak English and they used to love this branch because of many Farsi Speaking tellers. But recently they all changed their bank to TD bank because of more farsi speaking people there and their more welcoming approach. Some of the former bank tellers are my friends and they tell me the franchise manager don’t like to hire Iranians and would send current Iranian employees to other locations. I’ve heard from a different teller who is actually Asian than He prefers Asians over Persians. She says she’s heard from her manager that he said “Iranians are good for small jobs and Asians are good for big jobs” and “I don’t want unqualified Iranians for this branch” This kind of discrimination and Racist behavior is stupid and unprecedented in the most multicultural country in the world.

Such a friendly branch, i wish they had more tellers available there! Because each time i have to stay in the line for about 1 hour! However comparing to other rbc this branch is brilliant
The only problem is they keep changing their tellers and branch manager! Until you get to know them, they will say gpodbye

I went there last night and i got there after they closed, around 5: 10 ish. I wanted to deposit cash into the machine and I noticed the employee standing inside. I asked her if I would be able to access the cash through my account for an incoming bill that would be going out. She told me no. Honestly, I should’ve planned better and gone earlier but it was a crazy day. She let me quickly go inside and deposit the cash with a teller. That was so nice of her, I knew they were closed and I had no intentions of asking but she must have seen the panicked look on my face.
Thank you to the lady by the info desk, you made my night and the payment was successful. Also to the branch staff that were helpful.
