I have not been a customer for long (came in for crossborder banking needs). My two interactions though have been amazing. Everyone working there is extremely welcoming and helpful. On the plus - I was able to get approved for a CAD chequing, USA chequing, and USA credit card in less than 1 week. Whereas with TD, it was coming on 1 month with no luck.

I don't know why this branch insist on being the most drab and worst customer service possible branch.

There will often be line ups.with 5 or 6 staff just standing around chatting.

Also, there are 2 senior female tellers who have been at the same position for perhaps 4 decades (that should say something.) they are slow, argumentative (what for?) And just overall terrible.

Highly incompetent staff. One in particular by the name of G. Persaud.

The ONLY reason I have to attend this branch is due to its geographical location.

How can the branch manager not do something about the environment and its staff?

I mean.it's worst than an abandonned building.at least at an abndonned building, no one annoys you and its fun

If you need banking done for business recommend going elsewhere!

It was my first experience with RBC, and the service I received was smooth and supportive. Sara, my advisor, helped a lot and answered all my questions and offered what best worked for me and my situation. Thanks, Sara!

Terrible customer service experience! Avoid this branch. I have been an RBC customer for years and never received such poor service. In particular there is a young, Chinese female teller who is both rude and incompetent, not to mention speaks in broken English. I went into change my pin code and she kept asking for ID I had like credit cards with my name, including a PR, when I've been a citizen for 30 years. She was dripping with arrogance and acted like I was serving her, or she was doing me a favour. I will take my business elsewhere, and it is clear the tellers do not want to be there or serve clients professionally. She should stop assuming the identity of her clients and learn to listen to them instead of lecturing them in bad English!

I met Jason Kim as my financial advisor at Yonge & Hollywood Branch. He has been an amazing person. He is very pleasant to deal with and he provides all the information I need to make an informed decision. He offered products that suited my needs and made suggestions even when I didn't have to ask. He is very professional, highly ethical and trustworthy. I am so happy that Jason Kim is my advisor. He deserves kudos as an employee.

They will find an excuse to not help you. They should just close this branch since they just waste people’s time.

Probably the worst bank branch experience I have had in 30 years. It has a particularly arrogant and nasty manager. Take your banking business elsewhere. Seriously, do not use this branch.

Here is an example on how the RBC system is terrible at dealing with even the simplest requests and the most basic problems:

I went there to request to change my status from a work permit holder to a PR on my account.

The confused and incompetent advisor after leaving her desk for help, asking the manager for guidance 10 times, and taking 45 minutes of my time over this simple request, eventually told me that in order to change my status they need to close my current account that I opened in Quebec because apparently, not even their own branches can work together! Then I have to open a new account here, apply for a new client card and a new credit card account, since they cannot link the current ones to my new profile for some weird reason. And then, she kept forcing me to create governmental accounts and participate in some other nonsense RBC programs that had nothing to do with my request.

Now I have to go back there for at least 2 more times to keep discussing about the stuff I never asked for, on top of spending hours removing my current card information from dozens of websites that already have monthly subscription payments for the last 5 years.

My first time opening a bank account with RBC. It was a such a phenomenal experience, and such a pleasure to meet with Sara Wahab. She did a great job helping me with Debit card and explaining everything to me about credit options. Thank you RBC for a great customer service and thanks to Sara.
