Terrible bank if your a international student go to TD customer service and help is terrible

Was checking the hours and saw the reviews on here, not sure what’s up? Staff are very friendly, there’s rarely a long line.

Teller was very friendly but was not impressed by the older manager with blonde hair who was listening in on my conversation and told the teller not to offer something that he we was about to mention. Did not feel welcoming.

Had a phone appointment for 5pm, and nobody called me. Its now 5: 30pm.

Call the branch number, and I get the RBC Robot advisor, and I can't get past them to speak to a human.

Not sure why I spend $30 a month for the privilege of storing my money here. Pretty bad when you block off a time out of your day to speak with somebody, and you get ghosted by this place.

I call the 1-800 number, speak to the RBC Robot, and when I get connected with somebody, they tell me that I "missed my appointment and that a voicemail was left more me"

There is no voicemail. So somebody dropped the ball, and they are playing stupid.

This bank doesn't respect their customers time or business.

I come here for transactions that I can't do online. And both times, the service has been horrible. I came today to deposit a cheque that came on the mail on my son's behalf, who lives in BC. I gave all the information, and the male teller said no. I said I was allowed to do this in Grimsby as part of customer service. He then changed his mind and started typing, and he's still typing. Customer service at its worst.

I am visiting from North Bay and needed to complete a number of payments to cover expenses in my absence. I had immediate service from a young teller who wanted to ensure I wasn't transferring funds under duress as part of a scam. I appreciated his concern and professionalism

AVOID. The company does not respect its customers. For example, it is absolutely impossible to contact your branch directly. The so-called on-line appointment-booking system is simply not there (404 error), the general customer "service" line is generic, requires a long chain of identification interactions, and some "3-digit" [sic! ] PIN that I've never had, and when after a long wait you actually get to talk to a person (with a heavy East Indian accent, so is the person even in Canada?) she goes off-line and then offers "to send an email" to the branch asking for an appointment. I can send my own bloody emails, thank you very much. Finally, when asked to connect directly to my branch in southern Ontario, transfers me without a word of "I will transfer you now" to an answering machine in Montreal ("Sorry to have missed your call") and I have to hang up and start all over again. Why do I still bank with them? Need to break this 40-year habit.
