Initial I had a good experience with the person that I opened my account with. Went back to do business and was treated with scorn by a earlier female bank teller. Never going back to that branch. Horrible!

Stay away from this bank!

I opened an account with them and after 3 months the Visa debit card has not arrived. Every time I go in they they tell me it was not ordered

When I open the account they were offering a free tablet the woman said I could upgrade and get it at any time before the offer expires.
But when I went back to they said I was not eligible because I already opened an account.

The check holds are also taking twice as long as advertised and the Etransfers work maybe a third of the time, The rest of the time it said technical difficulties and rejected it.

The best experience ever! It was an urgent ask from our family on Friday at 5.00 pm when the branch is open only till 06.00 pm. Suzanne assisted us with the few questions and after that communicated our huge ask to the Financial Advisor Nancy Nguyen. Thank you, Suzanne! Nancy helped us remotely before with a credit line, everything was done perfectly and on time! Thank you, Nancy! At this time, Nancy stepped in right away and offered her assistance. Unfortunately, it was the end of the day, and our request could be completed only on Tuesday. On Saturday we got a call from the Branch Manager Eniko Cserepka, Eniko let us know that they have found a solution for us and ready to assist if we are able to come back on Saturday. Absolutely! We have been happy and surprised, we came back and everything was resolved in a Professional manner! The service is above and beyond. Thank you so much! We really appreciate your help!

Short staffed and long waiting period.
Was here to update my Banking details, waited for more than 1 hr in the line just to reach the desk.

Just saw this and decided my personally fave branch needed a good word. I have had bad experiences but nothing beyond normality (slow lines etc usually cuz we got a chatty cathy older person.maybe take their advice and slow down and be chatty yourself.if not maybe dont bank on your lunch.)

Otherwise had several meetings with both financial advisor and mortgage specialist as well as many "helps" by the manager and tellers of the day (whatever day that may be). All went well and were on time.

I think my only "bad" experience was a teller I haven't seen there in years (crosses fingers) who refused to do any math when I asked if I take X out how much roughly would I have. She just answered "no" (full english so not a language barrier thing heh). I admit I had a bit of fun at her expense there. As that's not really an answer to that question heh.

All in all though 94% positive experiences overall and 99.6% for daily interactions. The homeless dude is harmless. He just wants somewhere dry to sleep and they can't lock an ATM or we can't get in either.so making it pointless. He has offered to leave every time I've gone in there to bank and I woke him up. Some of us know that that could be us barring circumstance and a few paycheques.

TLDR had to comment seeing such bad reviews over a reasonably good branch that I enjoy over the others. They have their faults but being nice and kind and patient with the predominantly elderly in the area considering the demographics of the area is not one of them (they are super patient). I appreciate the patience they show with some who are struggling with banking. I'll wait and play on my phone.

Worse experience. Today I went to this branch to withdraw my sons Resp money as he is starting college in this sep. I had an appointment with financial advisor name Tam. Omg he start interogatting so many question like im doing some scam. Seriously we put our money in resp for kids bringt future and today is my worst exp i cant tell. I advise donot visit this branch. Rooky and unprofessional.

Worse and pathetic customer servise.

Was planning on pulling out $2000 they then told me I already pulled $4000 at another branch. I said I only need $1500 actually and they told me that I could only pull $1000 more. Never had this problem going from branch to branch and they told me dont go to another branch! Unbelievable!

Be careful when coming here for the ATM during the night time, there was a homeless guy sleeping inside the bank. As a lady, I didn’t feel safe taking money out and had to go to another location

Visited the branch to pick up my visa and debit card, visa was ready debit was not even though it had been two weeks. Was told to wait longer another month goes by still no card - clearly it has been lost now needing to wait for another.

RBC ottawa n river kitchener branch has the absolute worst customer service evere! One or two people ahead of me and it takes about an hour before I get served. This is a regular thing.

This afternoon I went to just get $7 in loonies, for laundry. After about 10 min wait, I was at a desk. Asked for loonies. Please put in your card. I don’t have an RBC card—just need loonies. Well then can I see ID? Why would you want to see my ID—just need loonies please. Now I’m getting a bit irate! She said she would need to input my info. Nope I said and took my money back and left. Incidentally across the parking lot at CIBC I got loonies in one minute, no wait, no aggravation
