This is the worst branch RBC has. It is always training people and you have to wait 30-45 minutes every time to see somone.

Hasan Misiri was supposed to call me for my 11: 30 appointment today to open up an account for me and to give me insight about it; however, I got no call and I will just state this by saying that he lost a client already & I’m giving my service to someone else to better serve my banking needs.

Tried to withdraw 5k and was held hostage, for about 30minutes. Asked what I was spending my money on. After I told them they wanted to know the the company! Asked them why was it there business knowing what I was spending my money on and from who? ! Still sitting in the bank waiting.

Front line staff are fine, but the when the manager is involved, she's rude and condescending for no reason at all. The manager was chastising me for not bringing a document (which I did) which was actually in her hand and was provided to RBC countless times before, they don't seem to store important documents. No apology when she realized the document was in her hand. Forty year client of RBC, no reason to stay if a simple transaction is met with attitude and hassle like this. B-bye RBC, time to consolidate everything with my other bank.

. I want to congratulate RBC Bank! It is indeed a great achievement to be able to bring together such incompetent and incompetent staff! The staff here know nothing and constantly ask each other about things. Don't you ever come and see how things are going in this branch? Don't look because things are not working. In any case, there is nothing worse!

I came across Rita Di Pede branch manager. Sadly, you are supposed to represent RBC and you treat your client with no professionalism, no respect and no manner. My most horrible banking experience at this branch was twice. But not at any other bank in my whole life. That says a lot. Now I see why your branch has 3-star overall rating.

I was working with a female teller by the name of Elsa who was trying to assist me with depositing funds from a TD bank draft into my RBC Direct Investing TFSA. After a short while, she walked over to her manager (a short Caucasian woman with short blonde hair) to discuss the situation and I could hear the manager yelling “no we can’t do that” repeatedly to the teller. The manager then advised me that I cannot deposit the bank draft because I do not have an “account” with RBC. I advised her that I DO have an account and received a letter in the mail today which confirms that my ACCOUNT is open. There’s even an ACCOUNT NUMBER on the letter so I don’t understand what she’s talking about.

She advised that this is not an account and that I would need to sign up for an RBC chequing account, deposit the bank draft funds into this account and then transfer the funds to my RBC direct investing account. It makes absolutely no sense for me to go through the process of creating a chequing account (for which I would need to set up an appointment with an advisor to do as per the manager) just so I can transfer funds from this to my RBC direct investing ACCOUNT. As a side note, I actually called TD after this interaction to confirm if they also followed this non-sense process and they confirmed that they do not.

I then called RBC's direct investing line and spoke with a rep (who placed me on hold to confirm this with his MANAGER) that confirmed the branch SHOULD have been able to take the bank draft and deposit it into my RBC Direct Investing account without me having to sign up for an RBC chequing account. The rep also advised that typically it takes about 5-7 business days for funds to appear in the direct investing account if it is deposited via a bank draft.

It is very disappointing that I had to take time out of my work day to run to TD then to RBC (shockingly spending 30 minutes in line when there were only 4 people ahead of me with 4 staff members working at the time) and have to deal with the incompetent manager at this branch. It is even more disturbing that she clearly had no clue what she was talking about and didn’t even bother to try to verify the correct process to save us all some time. I'm not even the slightest bit shocked at the negative reviews provided by other customers that visited this branch.

RBC really needs to do better. My hope is that senior leadership from RBC can review these reviews and take action on the long overdue decision to remove this incompetent manager from not only this branch but from any part of RBC. I will likely never set foot in this branch ever again as this was a very disappointing first time experience.

Moral of the story: Just go to TD instead. You'll get better customer service and save yourself time and disappointment.

Poor manager service. Would not take the time to investigate a cheque I needed to deposit. Instead of finding a solution she refused to help. I had to drive to another branch and was able to get the help I needed from another manager who knew what he was doing. The manager was very rude. I do not recommend this branch

I had to go there twice, although I'm new to this area, both time I was treated respectfully. Not all of the employees (newer ones) know what they are doing but they try and ask others and eventually sort out the problems smoothly without any stress.

One of the worst banking experience ever. JESSICA was helping me with demand drafts for a service and she was super rude when she talked to me. The way she converse with other customers also showed that she shouldn't be working in a client facing industry at all.

People like Jessica are the reason I dont want to bank with rbc at all.

Edit: had a chat with the manager and she tells me to provide a physicall copy of hydro bill. I get my email bills and she tells me to get a physical copy and then come back. I can understand why the staff is so rufe because the manager herself is very rude. Rbc should spend some time in training people in this branch on how to did with customers.

Worst experience not coming back here customer service was at its worst level the teller was rude i asked to see the calculation to make sure i am not overpaying them she refused yo see my how she calculated i ended up calling the manager and she was rude too worst customer service in this location highly not recommended i hope some actions is initiated here

Stopped twice recently to manage a transfer. The branch is quite well run. Tellers are keeping busy helping customers. You really don’t have to wait long to be served. Sandra is the best!

Very Worst Experience! To this branch. My CRA cheque that I deposit through telephone deposit hold and my wife called the RBC customer service and the lady customer service told to my wife to bring the Original CRA cheque and show to our RBC branch which is this location. Line up 8: 55 am in the morning (Saturday) The name ALLITA check the PC and she told me that she cannot do something for that hold cheque and she told me to wait for 4 business days. This lady is so mean she didnt even listen to me the reason thats why I'am there. It tooks only 3 minutes and thats it. (So rude).

I am a long time rbc client but today, I had theWorst customer service ever.clerk advisor (sia verma) tried to sell me a service with a false information. She didnt informed me clearly and wasted 2 hours of day, when i realized there was something wrong she said "you should have known that". When i ask to speak a manager to give a feedback about my experience she claimed that manager will be on the phone for couple hours. Definelty report this to rbc directly as manager over there doesnt care too.

Had the best customer service in this branch! All the staff are really friendly and attentive, but I must give credits specifically to Maria who with her politeness, attentiveness and confidence provides to her customers the reliability that we are all looking to an advisor; she will happily assist you and her knowledge offers you a confidence and limit your concerns! Thank you Maria and keep doing the great job (as always)

Matthew Singerman is the BEST. I have been a client with RBC going on a year now, and had never received my client card do to a system error with my account. After going to this branch and speaking with Matthew he came up with a brilliant solution and it worked. Finally have my card, thanks to him

Super poor customer service, no PPE. I had an appointment for a call with Maria, she never called. I reluctantly went into the branch asked the teller for a manager and I was refused, she said there was no manager. I was sent to Maria, with no PPE and 2 feet from me wouldn't help. (Obv mad I called her out on not calling) No apology. No Mask still after mentioning to her she is supposed to be wearing one. Then the magically appearing manager who wouldn't tell me her name (5 times I asked) yelled at me and told me she wouldn't help, other than that I was scheduled a meeting that was called to cancel 2 hours later.

I am rating this branch 5 stars simply for customer service they put forward. Yes wait times can get lengthy, but in my opinion so is every other bank out there, the staff at this location have gone above and beyond in customer service.

Every time I come into this branch the staff is friendly and welcoming, they deal with what ever issues I may have promptly and to the best of their ability. I have come into this branch with numerous problem regarding my banking needs and time after time they find a solution for me.

I would also like to recommend Usha Sahadeo for her excellent customer service and her professional expertise. She really cares about her clients and will do her best to assist you in your needs.

Sad to say the worst banking service that I witnessed. Also, the worst treatment from RBC bank Manager, she was an older Italian lady. Barks from a distant at my spouse after we both say hello. We were waiting to hear from the gentleman who went to her in regards to our request about his banking tier. The gentleman did the right thing did not discriminate (at least not to our face). However, the managers treatment was not only aggressive but embarrassing. I've grown up in the Dufferin and Lawrence area for 33 years and this behavior is common for non Caucasian individuals that appear young black dreads and tattoo.but to see it first hand bold face is sad. However, RBC over the phone has helped us with our situation.there will be a separate review for over the phone. IF YOUR A YOUNG BLACK MALE DO NOT BANK AT THE DUFFERIN AND LAWRENCE BRANCH. IF YOU DONT MEET THE STANDARDS, DO NOT STEP IN. I'VE NEVER BEEN SO HUMILIATED OVER A MATTER SO SIMPLE. I worked in the young and Sheppard location and never seen this behavior. And to you RBC shame on you, the man whom you shut down in a rude manner and disrespectfully and not in your office; is a head coach for an amazing undefeated grade 3 team of young ethnic boys and was just ASKING to release a small portion to get a permit for a gym. By far a traumatizing experience. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THE BEHAVIOUR OF THAT MANAGER

Poor customer service. Visited the location to open business account, Mutual Funds Rep.advised to visit another day. The bank was empty, not a whole lot of activity going on rather then showing initiative to earn my business they were prepared to enjoy their weekend 45 min early that day. Never again!

The bank manager here Shannon whittaker is an idiot.
When asked why I was being charged extra this month for transactions, and not previous months when I had more transactions, she said that there must have been a glitch in the system and I'm lucky they didn't charge me before.
It's good to know that RBC has a GLITCH in their system. You spend millions of dollars on your system and your manager tells customers you have a glitch.

Friendly staff with convenient location.
Plenty of rear parking which is no readily advertised. Front parking for quick in and outs (btw. Careful not to park on the south end of the plaza as the neighbours are definitely’NOT’ friendly.
Quick out door front ATM with plenty of light for your security.
This staff is always available to assist.

Overall I find the staff friendly and helpful. They seem to know many of the customers by sight and do try to help as much as they can with problems or questions.
