Recently contacted RBC about a matter with a transaction, the customer rep did not offer any solutions, at the end when she learned she's giving me contradictory information and when I called her out for it, she told me to fill up a compliant, at the end of the conversation i reminder her our conversation was being recorded and when they follow up with my complaint I will ask them to revise our recording to which she replied " oh no! No one is following up with you or giving you a call back, this is just for record"

Wonderful service from Karen K. And her co workers.

I am a US citizen and had trouble with other banks here. From the moment I walked in I was treated like family and never once was I told No. Any issue I had Karen said let me see where I can get the answer for you. Her co worker Khush came right in and helped out and I was able to get everything I needed.

Worst branch ever. I’ve worked at RBC before but was disappointed at how this branch can have their Client waited for over 30min at work time and solved nothing. The teller manager walked straight towards me and I had to ask her to keep her distance… what a great customer experience

I've been a client of RBC for over a decade, but the experiences that I've had with this branch over the past month have been so appalling that I am considering moving my personal and business accounts away from them. From the microaggressions provided by staff, to the sheer incompetence made by account managers and call center people, I am disturbed that the bank I signed up with when I was 19 is no longer a bank that has my back. Tonight was the last straw when an advisor failed to cancel a call with me, that I had booked several hours earlier via the online portal. They sent a one line response to my booking request haphazardly contradicting the information that was given to me by a call center member, not even 4 hours prior. They also didn't have the decency to send a calendar and link invite for our call. Just the day before I received NINE agent only cards, when I had come into the branch twice with my business cards to get TWO additional client cards, which RBC provides. If you can, avoid this branch if you are a growing small business who is looking to expand and have people on your side who want your business to grow. This branch has made me lose a lot of faith in Royal Bank.

Maybe it is unfair to blame the branch - but there are taiwanese tele-fraud scammers constantly impersonating the staff from this branch (with exactly your phone number) - please do something.

I do have accounts with other banks.but not with RBC; I decided to try this location as of December 29th, 2021. Two "customer service representatives" with asian background invited me into a small room. The lady asked me: "how long have you been in Canada? " told her more than 20 years. The guy continued: " Do you know why you are here? " I tried my best to keep polite and I answered him "Yes, I am an adult, I should know why I am here". My driving licence was requested and, while the lady went out looking for a manager in order to get back to me with an answer, the small little guy focused on my drivng licence (probably he knows even now by the heart the serial number - at least he should, considering the time spent and the diameter of his pupils while studying my card). He also asked me to remove the mask to make sure it is me, all ending up with no account being opened, of course. Good luck with your CSR, RBC! "Professional, well done"! A kind of circus.

Head office literally turned down a large building loan that their Calgary Office was eager to close, with a company and owner who passed all the financial expectations with flying colours. Why? Because it was from an independent journalist company that happened to have different opinions than Trudeau. Pathetic. Who's pulling the strings here?

I've been with Royal Bank for years, since I was about 12 years old. The customer service has always been great, my experience has always been great. Today I find out they fund oil pipelines that cut through indigenous land, harming wildlife, land and drinking water. These factors contribute to climate change greatly and if we aren't saving the planet.you guessed it.we're killing it. On top of all of this, it affects human rights. If you stand for climate change action, do your research and let your banks know how you feel. We only have one Earth. There is not another place to call home. One voice DOES make a difference. We can create change, only if we speak up.

No stars for Oil pipelines
Two Stars for having amazing humans that have helped me so much over the years, whom may also not be aware of this very issue.

I told them to pay off my car loan a month ago (I have the money), and they haven't done it yet. They are still charging interest on this loan. Don't do banking with RBC, their incompetence will cost you too much time.

After dealing with RBC as my main banking institution, I've had my up and downs.

However recently they have grown to help more customers as financial crises arise.

My main branch is another story, however the company as a whole has helped me in many ways, and I am thankful.

They will listen to your financial woes, if you ask for help. Use all services you find, some are not quite spoken of.

To get 5 stars: Teach customers how to maintain, grow, and safe guard ones money.

Had a racist interaction with one of the branch staff here a few months ago. I complained and I haven’t received a response so I closed my account. I was depositing a $75 cheque and the teller was pretending that her cheque reader didn’t work. She assumed that the cheque was fraudulent. She forwarded my cheque for someone else to deal with so that if it did bounce back, it would be under another teller’s account. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and I am now banking with Tangerine. Sad to say that I would rather deal with an app than to deal with that teller at RBC again. Thanks for nothing!

One star for the great service at my branch. No stars for falling down on international money transfers. RBC uses JP Morgan as an intermediary clearing bank. JP Morgan didn’t finish my transfer. And didnt forward my money even though I’d done the same transaction with the exact same instructions 10 - 12 times before. RBC’s phone support was of ZERO help. Got hung up on. RBC’s fault for using a poor clearing bank and for having very poor phone “support”.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever received by Lu. My partner and I went to open a business account yesterday and had the worst experience. She didnt introduce herself she started with "which one of you is Jack? " She spoke to me about my partner as if he wasn't there, she was very patronizing and undermining. She kept assuming that we didn't understand what the difference between a business account and personal account was. She tried three times to deter us from opening an account and said "why dont you try TD? " I was confused as to why this was the case. She then showed my personal account info which was on my screen to my partner. All and all this was hands down the worst experience of my life and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

It was in 2013 when I was offered to start banking with RBC Royal Bank of Canada. It was when I went to their bank to deposit money for my clients and was told to bank with them instead. For the reason that their services weren’t the same as with other banks—by that, I mean less beneficial for me—I refused.

Fast forward to a year ago, my friend who worked at RBC convinced me to bank with them as terms and services have already been better. Convinced as I was, I then opened my accounts.

I wouldn’t say all the transactions with them have been smooth and easy. But last July, when I was overseas, was when I felt violated as an account holder and as an individual.

My assistant, who was in Canada, couldn’t make any transactions and called me to report the unfortunate incident. Wondering as to what’s happening, I called RBC and spoke to their branch manager, Rosa Ferreri.

Rosa has been employed at RBC for 26 years but has only been a branch manager for a year and a half. Asking her what’s wrong with my accounts, instead of explaining to me the reason behind the restrictions, she turned into a rude, impatient, discriminating, racist employee who questioned my capability of having a significant amount at my age. Both my personal and business accounts were blocked and for who knows what reason, Rosa didn’t bother telling me anything. At all!

A month later, August 25, I was back in Canada. The morning of the next day, I went to the bank to personally talk to them (the manager or whoever could explain why my accounts were blocked).

On that day, Rosa was on vacation. Although she knew I was coming, she didn’t notify or tell me that she wouldn’t be around then. And so I got a hold of Antonietta Delfrate, a client advisor at the branch whom I didn’t deal much with as I was looking for Rosa. She was no different; she was rude too! I left my number hoping I’d get a call, but to my dismay, I got nothing.

I got to speak on the phone with Raffaele Innacente, a community manager in Maple for 3 RBC branches. I was dismayed that even he refused to listen to my concern. Instead, he suggested me to try other ways to resolve my problem.

Anything they asked me to do to reopen the account, I did. I filled out some forms and stuff. But nothing ever worked.

On September 3, I went to the bank again. In hopes of meeting Raffaele, Rosa told me he wasn’t around. I kept myself calm and tried to let her understand how important it is for me to speak with Raffaele in person.

But then again, instead of being honest with me, she was mad, she screamed, and she kicked me out the door!

With such high interest its almost impossible to pay off. Do not fall into the trap, customers service only follow protocol they do not try to help you. I was on hold today to find out why my interest rate went up, only to get hanged up on. Bell lets talk day doesn't not apply to them, because living to make minimum payment on high interest is depressing.

This Royal Bank branch is horrible. Again, horrible. I keep on coming back here for the convenience since it's a fairly large branch in the financial district downtown, but every time I wait in the long line and am seen by a teller, I always regret my decision of not having gone to another RBC branch.

On multiple occasions, I was told by different tellers that I would be emailed directly from those specific tellers to follow-up on issues they could not answer at that time. I have yet to hear back from any of those tellers. It seems like they do not really care about relaying information back to clients. Or maybe they are forgetful and really just forgot about following-up. Either way, that is called bad customer service.

There are also so many tellers always working here at their stations, but only a small handful of them are actually seeing and helping clients. I honestly wonder what they do since a lot of them clearly are not doing their job well.

So happy with Atena's 5 Star customer services. Nice personality, helping attitude. She will go so high in her banking career. She knows her job and client dealings. I was so upset with RBC and this branch but she turned the table around. Understood my complex banking needs and came up with an out of box solutions.
Cant get better than that.

DO NOT DEPOSIT CHEQUES IN THE NEW ATM. It misreads the amounts and it takes you weeks get your money back. I deposited $1,500 on October 1 and I only got $15.00. It is a big difference and I am still chasing the rest of my money. Opened a complaint in the branch right away, called customer service 3 times, supposed to get a call from the branch manager! Nothing! Very Very Unhappy not only with the branch but the whole RBC. If I can give them 0 stars I would.
