RBC Royal Bank

Because of a family emergency, I needed to transfer a large sum of money aboard immediately. Many of the branches I visited were unhelpful. However, the people at this branch were really nice. They not only understood the needs of the customers, but also dealt with them responsibly and professionally. Helped me solve the problem within the scope of work. Especially the teller name Jill and their manager (forgot his name), they were very patient and helpful. I feel grateful having my money in their branch.

Recently, I encountered an issue with a fund transfer due to an error in the transit number. I was fortunate to have Cloris and Boshen assist me in resolving the matter promptly and efficiently. Their professionalism, dedication, and quick problem-solving skills were truly commendable.

I am deeply appreciative of the exceptional customer service they provided. Their efforts not only alleviated my concerns but also reinforced my positive perception of Royal Bank of Canada. It is reassuring to know that such capable and customer-oriented individuals are part of your team.

Please convey my heartfelt thanks to Cloris and Boshen for their outstanding assistance. Their commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction has left a lasting impression on me.

Placed foreign cash order through online banking and on the pickup date didn't receive any notification/call, as they usually do, to let me know it's ready for pickup. Had to go to the bank for them to tell me a bunch of reasons why the foreign cash was not ready and try and convince me to process more money for foreign cash on the spot. When they decided to actually take a look in the vault it had been ready all day but somebody didn't do their job.

Just terrible. The Chinese boy with the glasses is daydreaming when I asked him questions. He doesn't even remember what I told him 2 min ago.

This branch is a disgrace. The staff is incompetent.the bank manager who I've left numerous messages for who has never called me back has to be the WORST. I've never experienced incompetence in a bank like I have at this bank the people who train the personnel there either need to be retrained themselves or need a new profession. They set up a business account for me they made so many unnecessary incompetent mistakes setting it up it's taking me months to get those mistakes addressed. I had to get in touch with head office to have my situation looked at.

If you look at previous reviews they'll go on to discuss the blatant racism at this location. Let me tell you, they treat Asian people just as badly. They take advantage of anyone to make a good sale. In particular I had Anduo (Cissy) He, a financial advisor sell my older parents a product they didn't want and just brushed off any questions they had and just wanted them to sign ASAP. Needless to say, I would not recommend this location to anyone. It's better if you take your banking services elsewhere.

It is very very terrible teller today I experienced in this location. Leave t me stand in front her for over 15mins and without any response. As Bank manager should fire her without any hesitation! Her name on name tag is ***** TANG She will definitely damage the service quality of this branch.

Extremely slow and bad service. Total waste of time. Took exorbitantly long time for an exceptionally simple transaction. Didn't even do a good job. Did not get name of clerk who did this but he was an older cantonese male. Very upsetting. Could have taken me 1 min to deposit a cheque online in the comforts of my home. I regret even coming.

Vi Chan Vuong used more than 20 mins to help me do a simple transaction (bank draft). Totally waste of time, very inefficiency.

The 1st time I tried to open a personal account they had me wait over 20mins only to be asked to come back the following day early morning.

A couple of years go by, I again return this time with hopes of opening a business account. After a few minutes wait a lady approached me, introduced herself then explained that she is all booked for the day and asked me to book an appointment with her while handing me a business card.

Although TD on Spadina also has problems of its own, both times they managed to assist me within 10mins.

Each time, I was welcomed and spoken to politely with all smiles but the service was never satisfactory.

Staff are very helpful and professional, the branch is clean and organized. I liked the design of this branch, once you step in you can see the design and the furniture, you will immediately feel the China Town flavors. The only thing this branch is missing is parking.

Very convenient to have a RBC branch in this Chinatown location. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and professional!

This place seems to only care about you if you are Asian. Every employee inside the branch was Asian, speaking of diversity and hiring based on merit, rather than ethnic background. But that was just my mental note.

This branch is in Chinatown. I Booked an appointment to open a business account hours in advance. Arrived on time, spoke to the clerk that introduced to the manager she told me to wait, for full 25 minutes nobody even acknowledged my existence. They seemed more engaged with other customers that do look Asian. I left a note with the clerk to tell her manager that I would no longer open my business account at her branch and left the place.

On the bright side, it seems that there are several counters with clerks, so if you needed to run a quick errand it might be time-efficient to head to this branch.

Overall, I felt like a stranger in this place. This branch does not live up to RBC standards. Something needs to change.
