I can't believe she is the manager of this branch. I was dealt with inadequate customer service. Believe me, you won't be there very long with your 2.4 out 0f 5 star rating

Absolutely horrible branch. Worthy of zero stars. Applied for a HELOC in June 2023, and have received no answer 2 months later. No status update, no response to voicemails or emails, and no follow-up from the branch manager despite an escalation. As of writing, this case still remains unresolved. A truly hopeless institution. Do yourself a favour and go to any other RBC branch for better service.

My experience was from early 2022; it was the worst banking experience. The branch manager is a horrible human being. She's rude and is unable to do basic math which is funny for a person working at a financial institution. I opened an account with TD a month after the incident.

I sincerely do not understand why this RBC location has 3 tellers working at any given time, as they will do anything in their power to avoid serving customers. I have visited this branch twice in the last month, during which I've had an unsatisfactory experience.

1. I wanted to withdraw a large sum of money which exceeded my daily withdrawal limit at an ATM. So, like any logical RBC customer would do, I visited a teller directly. When she asked why I wasn't using the bank machine several times consecutively, I was confused as to why she did not want to assist me with a simple transaction. After what seemed like an eternity of convincing the staff member to do her job, she would only give me a portion of the cash I had requested and advised I visit a bank machine to acquire the remaining amount. Of course, this doubled the length of my transaction as I had to stand in line first for the teller, then for the machine. Utterly mind boggling and extremely frustrating.

Why does RBC pay 3 bank employees to sit around and discourage customers for doing business with the bank? This sounds wasteful and counter intuitive.

2. I wanted to redeem a credit card offer I was sent in the mail. On the document, it recommended calling in to customer service or visiting my local RBC branch directly. After waiting on hold for over 20 minutes, I decided it would be quick to drive to the bank.

In classic RBC fashion, the teller I spoke to would not answer the several straightforward questions I had and repeatedly advised me to complete my transaction online. I eventually became frustrated, as he continued to interrupt while I was speaking, and left the branch to do my business elsewhere.

I have no earthly idea why employees of RBC are so intent on discouraging customers from doing business in their local branch. If customers listened to the staff's suggestion to conduct all transactions online, RBC staff would no longer be employed.

Regardless, I ultimately received much better customer service over the phone, once I was able to get in touch with them.

I went to this place with my sister to open an account for my sister. Firstly terrible service.they open the account but didn't gave us account number, direct deposit cheque or any information to login in online banking. Also when asked to provide one they said we cannot give anything right now it will be delivered to your house, but by 3 weeks now I didn't get anything. So we visited again to branch and they said you still have to wait

The tellers are not capable of answering questions correctly at this branch. I spent days going around in circles until I contacted RBC through the online secured messaging system. Then, I received the correct information immediately.

I am so disappointed with all the bank tellers at the RBC on fairview mall Kitchener. Too bad I can’t rate with a zero star. About two weeks ago I went in with my daughter to open a bank account, she got a temporary card, it took 1 hour just for that. A few days ago she received her card at home, she was so excited to start using it. After school she and her friends went to eat and of course she was excited to start paying debit; the card didn’t work. She was so embarrassed! We went to the bank and were helped by the same person who opened the account. He game me many excuses, after half an hour he said it was fixed. We went to Walmart and she tried again and nothing, we tried savings and checking but it said card not recognized. We were both angry and embarrassed. My daughter called RBC telephone banking but they told her she needed to go to the bank. Today we went, talked to a different teller, explained our problem and she said that probably we were using the card wrong, please I have have been banking too long to not know. Anyways she clicked and clicked on her computer and, actually called another teller for help; these people don’t know anything. After half an hour she said all fixed, well guess what we tried paying debit and not working. I don’t even want to go back, I have seen four different tellers to just get the debit card working and they can’t manage to do that. By now I have no hope that any of those workers can do anything; they are hopeless and I really wonder how they got hired if they can’t solve something so simple!

It's really funny, I was hesitant to leav a comment about the bad and poor service in this branch becuse i’m not coming here often, but when I read the other comment i found that most of the people had the same feeling about this branch staff and service. I don't think the managment and supervisors are qualifide because the tellers are really rude and unfriendly especially the pregnant lady? They don't even put their name badges on as a sign that they don't care at all

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have lived in Kitchener for nearly 20 years, and even though this branch has been the closest to my home, I will always go elsewhere. Never have I ever had a single good experience with any of the staff, unfortunately: rude bank tellers, financial advisors were green and gave poor advice, others were EXTREMELY condescending when I came in to be educated on my loan options, in general it seems to be poorly managed. A particularly nasty financial advisor laughed at me for not understanding "how a bank works", when I had previously announced that loans are a new area to me and I wanted all the information I could get so I could begin to understand. I was extremely ashamed, and made to feel even more terrible, which was incredibly unprofessional behaviour from her.

It would be in the best interest of its customers if this branch were eliminated. I am shocked that people continue to bank at this location. And I see no responses to the plethora of the reviews complaining of poor service - figures. If anyone needs me, I'll be banking at the Fischer-Hallman branch where they treat the customers like family.

RBC is my personal and business bank. They are generally very respectful and kind. Just recently I'm having trouble to withdraw cash above certain amount. Have to answer a few questions before getting money from my account.

One of the Worst Bank i have ever seen, I just moved and this Bank is very close to me and i left my previous Bank just because of this and moved all RSP, Pay stubs and everything including my wife as well. Service is Horrible,
people hardly smiling, very unhappy faces, for me any Bank in Canada is far away from this Bank. Don't recommend any one to go there, we made Big Mistake. Now have to wait till we find another place and moved everything out from this Bank that we do have with them including Checking account to cancel.
If the have here 0 Star i will give them beloved 0

Went to this RBC branch at Fairway, Rd Kitchener today. Stopped at the entrance door to be waited on and the RBC rep policing the branch entrance still felt the need to ask me to stop (?). Then another customer showed up behind me and the RBC rep went “oh he was here earlier and he will need to go in first”. The customer behind me replied actually he did not mind waiting. The RBC rep went “well are you sure” and kept arguing with him and being belligerent with both of us. Then I had to wait forever even though the teller in the middle was doing nothing and I had to wait until someone ELSE was free to serve. Pathetic, obnoxious “customer service”.

I often experience slower pace service at this branch in comparison with other RBC branches. Not sure why.

Went in to exchange some cash for smaller coins for my business like I do every Saturday, this time I was told that they don’t do exchanges unless I’m a client, I’ll just take my business to any other bank that would be glad to help me.

Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Long sighs, questioning me where I got my money from as if I’m some criminal? Tells me how much of an inconvenience my request is for her. Whispers about me to coworkers. Coworkers continue to look at me and whisper to one another and neglect the 13 other people in line. Takes 45 minutes and says, “finally done. Never ever ever do this again. ” Put such a damper on a really good day. I’ve never written a review before because it’s a waste of time complaining about other people but I don’t want anyone to experience the terrible atmosphere or the incredibly rude customer service. Do not go to this branch unless you have a spare hour and a half and want to be treated like your business is unwanted.

ON JANUARY 9,2020 I WENT INTO THE BANK TO WITHDRAW MONEY WITH A TEMPORARY DEBIT CARD AND IT WAS DECLINED AND NOT WORKING PROPERLY. A YOUNG WOMAN SITTING AT THE FRONT, WHO'S NAME I DIDN'T GET WAS SO BEYOND HELPFUL AND PATIENT THAT SHE CHECKED EVERY THING ON MY ACCOUNT TO MAKE SURE IT WAS WORKING. SHE THEN PROCEEDED TO HELP ME, AS IM SURE SHE COULD SEE MY FRUSTRATION AND DEFEAT, AND SHE SHOWED ME HOW TO DOWNLOAD SOME APPS TO GET ME THROUGH THE WAITING PROCESS OF MY NEW CARD AND ALLEVIATE SOME OF MENTAL CRISIS. I CANNOT THANK HER ENOUGH FOR BEING SO KIND AND UNDERSTANDING AND FOR TREATING ME ABOVE AND BEYOND. I HOPE SHE GETS TO READ THIS, SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND HAD A BLACK NOSE RING. AMAZING SERVICE GIVEN BY HER AND SHE SHOULD BE REWARDED FOR THIS.

RBC Royal Bank on Fairway Road in Kitchener is one of the best smaller locations. I would still prefer to go to the main branch of RBC Royal Bank downtown for certain transactions, however, this location is great as staff members are fast, polite, and helpful. The ATMs are always working, and I have never had any issues similar to those that might take place at other financial institutions.

I don’t mean to come off rude here, but can we save the personal banter and chit chat for at home or somewhere else please? Every time you are waiting for a teller at any rbc its the same old thing.standing there watching the teller chat with a client about their day.about the weather.blah blah blah. YOU’RE DEALING WITH MONEY, YOU’RE DEALING WITH PEOPLES LIVES HERE. SPEED THE GOD4MN LINE UP. Why am I standing listening to you chat about the snow. About the toronto maple leafs. I don’t care. This is peoples money, work time and families! Be more professional!

The service here is top notch. They are always helpful and polite. The only issue with this location is the time spent waiting in line. They are usually running on 2 or 3 desks open during the day so expect about a 15 minute wait minimum.

This place is beyond frustrating. Everyone moves at a snails pace. No business line. I just waited 20 minutes and needed to wait another 20 minutes before I would have gotten served. It shouldn’t take 40 minutes to deposit cash and cheque’s on a Monday at 3pm.
