It was windy and cold today at the lake, but the scenery was nice. It should be more beautiful in spring, summer and autumn, and it is worth coming again.

Nice facility and beautiful infrastructures. Went here to jog and look around. Lots of people having a picnic, enjoying the scenery and walking their dogs. Its a nice place to hang out for a day.

Great place to hangout with family and friends. This is one of the quieter lakeside spots. Beautiful views and good place for candid pictures. The only issue here is parking! There's not much parking available since this is also a residential area. That being said, parking is always available away from the vicinity. Just be prepared for a decent walk.

A beautiful park without trees, with amazing architecture of purification plant and lack Ontario, a great slop throughout the structure will make it one of the most unique place you ever seen.

My rating reflects the fact that we were unable to enter the premises because of the time we arrived. As part of the Open Doors 2023, we arrived just before 3: 30pm. It took us 1 hr 45 min to get there because of traffic, and then it took us another 20 min to find parking and then another 15 min walk to the place. We were so terribly disappointed!
The grounds are expansive, and the view is nice, overlooking the lake.
There is always next year @

This place is like if The Great Gatsby absolutely had to be set in a water treatment facility. Magnificent

It is a great picnic spot. The location is absolutely stunning and has a great vibe. Great place to visit during summers and an awesome picnic spot. Great place to visit with family and friends for a picnic.

This is the most beautiful natural place in Toronto. I advise you to visit it in good weather and wait for sunset. In addition, there are not often many people there, and you can have a great coffee in a secluded place.

Picturesque landmark in Toronto. Open green space in front of Lake Ontario. It's lovely to visit on a sunny day and sit on the grass for a leisure afternoon with family and friends

Another (not so!) hidden treasure in downtown Toronto. This place is really peaceful and serene. Different seasons will give out different vibes to you but definitely will recharge you mentally.

Nice place to visit
You can walk towards downtown from there amazing view of Ontario lake, dog friendly walking beach
Breathtaking view of CN tower with sun setting

It is a very secret place because there aren’t many people there.

I like it so much, you can have a very good time with your friends in a picnic. It is quiet, clean and you will have an amazing view. Also, it is pet friendly!

The “bad” thing is that there’s no washrooms close to that place. You can get there by street car or 12 bus. I really recommend it.

What a fantastic location. I had put off coming here for a while because of the drive, but it was worth it. A truly impressive facility with beautiful architecture. Wonderfully maintained hilly lawns. A little beach, great views of the lake, and (limited) street parking right beside the place. I definitely recommend the visit, and when Doors Open Toronto is next on, I can't wait to see the interior.

Make the most of the trip by packing food, drinks, lawn chairs and a blankets, go when its warm in evening, sunset, totally relaxing seeing the open lake and sky with no disrupted views of condos, road noise, trees, pollution, etc.some people were walking their pets, swimming, boating, using their jet skis, biking, scootering

The R. C. Harris Water Treatment Plant in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is both a crucial piece of infrastructure and an architecturally acclaimed historic building. Despite its age, the plant is fully functional. Highly recommend for evening walk and u all also get CN tower view from the beach. Less crowded must go place.

Beautiful view, serene place. Great for long exposure photography, wedding shoots, outdoor workout.or just having a sandwich sitting quietly on a bench. There's a small beach nearby and view from peak is stunning!

I visited here on Saturday, July 9,2022 around 12: 30pm and there was hardly anyone here! Such a beautiful spot to hangout on the hills for a few hours. Lots of beach surrounding this spot as well - a bit more secluded too which is nice. Overall I’d come here again, probably for a sunset because the view of the water is stunning. Great day trip spot!
06 September 2022 12:53
A bit too far. But worth going there for a walk. It’s at the last stop of the queen street east streetcar. I wish there was a food provider or snacks or drinks.

Strange to say, but this water treatment plant is my favourite part of the city. Whether you live here or are simply visiting, I highly recommend visiting the castle-like grounds of this beautiful building. It is right by the water / beaches and makes for a great place to picnic from the spring right to the fall.

Although the inside is not open to the public, I recently visited it as a part of Doors Open Toronto. Would recommend visiting the inside as it is just as beautiful as the outside!

It was a great place to visit with friends. What a great view. Just go there sit and enjoy the beautiful view. There is a beach too if you want to go there. Overall a good spot to go with friends and family to spend some good time. Believe me you will not regret going at this place.

I can’t believe I have never visited this historical site near the waterfront! I timed my visit to watch the sunset, and was amazed at how quite and peaceful the area is. I felt transported to a vacation destination in Europe! The sunset wasn’t as vivid as hoped, but the evening skies were unbelievably blue. We found complimentary residential street parking just a few minutes away, but the moment we entered the grounds, there were TONS of mosquitoes! Make sure you use bug repellent. Strangely enough, we didn’t get bitten! I think it was due to the sunscreen we still had on!

Note: There are no washrooms facilities available

Went for Doors Open TO and was able to learn quite a bit on the water treatment plant, and tour the inside. The architecture of this place is incredible and highly underrated. Worth a visit!

A unique spot to have a picnic, relax on the grass, and soak up some sun while having a great view of the lake. Would highly recommend! Note that there’s no dedicated parking for the public, only street parking in surrounding area, so plan accordingly.

I was able to visit the Treatment Plant as part of Doors Open Toronto. It was nice to see the inner workings of the place. As someone who lives not too far from it, I've always liked the architecture of it as well.

It is located at the waterfront so you can walk there and enjoy the beach too.

Beautiful place to visit and a great place to take pictures. The architecture is stunning and the view of the water is amazing!

I don't think photos can do justice to how nice this place really is. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful place specially during summer and fall. You can walk and enjoy the beauty of the place and lake. Night view is also interesting during summer/ fall. Not so friendly place during snow days. Better to wear snow boots and winter cloths. Try to go before sunset during winter.
02 February 2022 17:56
Beautiful place to visit in the summer. Great views of the lake and architecture of the building is stunning. Great place to ride your bike to if you live within 10km.

One of the best views of Lake Ontario from Toronto can be found at the Water Treatment Plant, which starts at the eastern end of The Beaches. There's some space for walking and climbing the hill, access to a small beach spit, and the Treatment Plant is itself worth taking a look at.
15 November 2021 22:37
Magnificent place. Come here to admire great architecture and the beauty of Lake Ontario all in one without the hustle and bustle of the city. The area feels kind of like a grand, abandoned movie set. It’s only downside is that it’s a one-and-done kind of place if you’re looking for an exploratory or recreational outing. It’s more to chill and relax while admiring the lake. Unless of course you want use the numerous stairs at the plant to exercise.

It’s a beautiful place that not a lot of people know about. Very quiet and peaceful place where and it’s a great spot for a picnic in the summer!
23 October 2021 7:00
It is such a serine and peaceful place to enjoy some quality time with your friends and family, even alone. Beautiful architecture facing the lake of Ontario, one would not be able to believe if it’s a water treatment plant. Perfect place to have a photo shoot!

Great place to feel your first pair of t1ts and get drunk when youre 14. In The Mouth of Madness and Half Baked were filmed here too.
17 April 2021 19:23
Definitely one of my favorite rest spots. Especially after riding the Fallingbrook hills ‍️? Such a spectacular view no matter what the weather. Calming and peaceful atmosphere with a low backdrop of happy soundscapes. Truly enjoyed the community feeling

Had to venture out today and see if our low temperatures formed any ice around R. C. Harris Water Treatment Plant Beaches and RC Harris Waterworks Beach. February 6th 2021 and it's windy and it's minus 20 plus with a wind-chill. I think I almost became a permanent fixture there trying to capture some video and photographs. But well worth the trip out and love this area of the beaches anytime of the year.
The beach may be small but it's always a great area to photograph. Great for all ages, families, children. But maybe not today.

Such a chill place, nice view of the lake, and access to the most sexy beach in town, what else do you need?
25 December 2020 1:33
An infinitive view of Lake Ontario surrounded by this architectural gem. A real pleasure to enjoy this perfect combination.

Very nice and lowkey place to go to in Toronto. One of the nicest monuments in Toronto, just in the end of Scarborough and entering Downtown. Very nice place to go look at the water, sit by the grass, and just look at the view during the day (highly recommend afternoon/early evening; when sun is out). Never knew this place existed until I went out and explored. Highly recommend to anyone willing to get a fresh air, some time off their mind and go for a little walk.
