Real Canadian Superstore

I am very disappointed. I always use superstore for their offer that when you spend $300 you get a gift equal to about $25. I put in an online order yesterday, spending $320. Due to the store not having stock on some items and substitutions, my order dropped below $300 when I went to pick up and they refused to give me any credit. I put in a large order in order to get the gift, I purchased double of items and went $20 over $300 in order to be safe. I am very unhappy and it makes me want to shop elsewhere. I had to do an online order as my toddler was sick yesterday and with me in the car. Now it makes me believe any time I do an online order, they can just say they don't have things in stock to make it stop just below $300 to not have to give the gift. I hope someone contacts me. I called the store and talked to a manager and both people said they couldn't do a thing for me.

Normally i dont leave reviews but with the massive price increase dont buy from here. What normally costs over $200 in grocery bills has been $130-150 at food basics. Until prices change i only stop by for what isnt in local food stores

I picked out a cake with particular (meaningful) colours for a birthday and realized when I got home they packed a plain white cake. I called to let them know and got the runaround, transferred a few times, then finally told to bring the cake back (drive all the way back? !). I told him I was too far and he told me to call tomorrow. No concern whatsoever, very upsetting.

Probably the best overall grocery store in the area. The staff are patient. It gets very busy so other shoppers dictate your experience.

It was opened on Canada Day which was great because I needed a few things on my road trip when I arrived there.

The absolute WORST STORE for organization. You have to wait in the entire line wrapped around the store in order to get to the self checkout. We had 5 things and had to wait for people with 30+ things to go to a regular checkout in order for us to get to self checkout.
Why is it impossible for us to have a separate line for both types?
Why are more cashiers not open so a line AROUND the store doesn't happen?

Always a pleasure to shop there. I always use the self checkout which never has a line. Friendly staff.

Some products are priced higher compared to other grocery stores in the area but the pricing is fairly competitive. Usually clean and most of the staff are approachable.

Great store.everything looks clean and organized, then you go to the Joe Fresh section! Its terrible, always an unorganized mess. I've been going to the store for 2 years and never seen anyone working there? So bad today I should of took pictures!

Amazing staff workers. Got what we need fast and cash out. The lighting is good and the Isles are clean And easy to find what you're looking for.

Always a great variety of items and it is pretty easy to find most items. Most of the staff are really friendly and seem to know their jobs well.

We've used the online order and pick up option pretty much since it became Midland location. Not sure what's happened, but in the last few months it's been disappointing and frustrating. Multiple times we've got home only to find portions of our order are missing and then have to go back, wait times have been in excess of 30 minutes. Wasn't like this before, but something has changed in the last few months and this service is deteriorating.

I love this store and location. The store is well laid out and never seems too jammed. Staff are friendly and fast at checkout. I prefer their self checkout.

We spend $hundreds$ here every month and interactions with employees is usually a pleasant affair. Today however we had a couple of young women openly chatting about their time off experiences which completely interfered with the cashing out of our order. No Hello or Have a Nice Day. Just this arrogant attitude that put us off ever shopping here again. This would have been a 1 but out of respect to those many pleasant experiences we gave this experience a 2.

Love the wide variety of food options (hot n ready) plus can always find good deals for kids clothes, theres a "wine rack" for various coolers and craft beers.only thing is they need to lower the expensive meat prices

Pathetic selection of international foods for such a large store. Also the layout is all over the place to facilitate wasting time and money.

Had the best customer service ever the other day! While checking out I had Shannon, who was literally the sweetest cashier I have ever experienced! I had a problem with my grocery bags ripping and they went above and beyond when helping me! Great job Shannon!

I have been going to this store for about 12-years and the quality has always been superb. Lots of changes and improvements with more variety and options available to the consumers.

My concern with the pandemic is the cost of goods (grocery specifically), through the roof and hope it will come down at some point soon. I think some stores take advantage of the current situation and that's disappointing. I believe larger stores should still manage to offset some of the cost for their customers.more sales and reduction in prices would be great incentives to maintain your base.

Regardless, I will still be shopping there for my groceries.

The last few times that I have done the clicking pay there has been missing items I haven't been able to get what I was looking for it's not on the website or the flyer or in flip it's starting to get annoying

Great customer service at the bakery.
Didn't get her name but had black long hair. Very cute and went out of her way to go to the freezers to make sure I got the cake I needed which was not at the front fridge. She is the reason they get a 5 star rating. Great job. Thank you.

Every time I go in there's unmasked people walking around. We're in the middle of a pandemic and they can't even be bothered to enforce the most basic safety standards. I shudder to think of what other standards they don't bother with.

Love Real Canadian Superstore they price match and l get to look at all they have and buy more then l go shopping for and they open at 7 am so by the time the other stores open l'm finished and back home safe

They've got a great selection of real Canadian products, highly recommend to a friend family member or a stranger even!

Friendly staff and fair prices on most items. Grocery pick up has been hit or miss. Always fix any issues, but there are rare occasions some items are near or even past expiry.

Cashier was great, personally I wished they had price match lanes. Sadly I was behind two price matchers, now I'm thrifty by nature. But there's reasons that stores like RCSS prices are higher, fresh seafood, deli, bakery, readymade foods etc. Stores like these have higher overhead than stores like it's sister No Frills.

Clean, great prices on everything there. Staff are very nice too and willing to wait to change an item. 10/10

Oddly, the grocery pickers ‘ shoppers have no way of interacting with the online system. So your order may include an item, but for some reason it is not on the pick list. Or, you receive an email notifying you of out of stock items, sometimes it says no substitute available, other times it shows a substitute. Whatever the email communication or you looking at your emailed order confirmation, you may or may not receive the item. Ie. Christmas Eve my order showed a fresh turkey. On the store pick list, no turkey. Very stressful! When you ask the shopper about an email you received and a discrepancy with what they are telling you, the answer always is, the emails are auto generated at head office. We don’t see them or have control over them. We just get the pick list. Odd and a substantial lack of communication as every single order has something missing or an incorrect substitution. Also odd, the largest store in town has an amazing number of out of stock items, yet other grocery stores have plenty of stock?

Wide selection of groceries and prepared foods. Great salads. Quality fruit. Competitive pricing.

Generally love this store but recently strawberries are always mouldy and I purchased sliced ham from the deli on Sunday and by Tuesday it was actually green. Just want to mention this so it can be corrected.

Good place to shop. Can get a variety of things.from A to Z.
Update.it was a good experience. Staff Janet on cash good job.

Always friendly staff. They also always follow covid policies including cleaning grocery belt and distancing in store plus much more!

We don't have a real canadain super store in Barrie and wish we did they have great deals and friendly staff and there sales products are always there

Staff aren't keeping social distance in aisles. The instacart shopper repeatedly came within a foot or so of me to grab items.

This location allows those without face coverings to enter and shop, placing their employees and customers at risk.

I spoke with an employee and they said that this is a common occurrence. Management needs to step up to ensure a safe workplace through enforcement of publicly mandated face-covering policies.

In reference to Sunday, April 25 around 6 PM.

I don’t go in as I frequently see people not wearing face masks entering and exiting the building. I do, however, use their curbside pick up.
I have nothing but good things to say about it. Wait times aren’t usually too bad, the staff are friendly and following Covid precautions very well.
I will continue to use this service.

Customer service was not that great. Had to fight for them to find the oatmeal and put it in my order. My orange were moldy.

I do like this grocery store. The produce is always fresh! I've personally only had 1 run in with a staff member that was very unfriendly.

I will continue to shop here

Excellent store. Best staff anywhere. Only real grocery store in Midland. Others are dirty, overpriced and not nearly as courteous to customers.

Usually well stocked, clean, lots of variety, well priced, price match, and friendly. The majority of our shopping is done here

Love this store! Good prices, not too busy and they are equipped with self serve cash. They have a good selection of craft beer and wine!

The store has everything you need (food, pharmacy, clothing, accessible washrooms, medical office, teaching rooms) - the staff is very helpful and friendly. Includes abundant parking with a gas facility on the property to fuel up on your way out.

Found it very difficult to find PC Extra Old Cheese, as they have cheese in the deli section where I couldn't locate it. I asked someone who works there for help, and was sent to the dairy section, where I couldn't find any of the cheese. I asked someone else who was working closer to the dairy section, who sent me down an isle, where I finally located it.

Also, I was unable to locate the electronics in the RCSS. Other RCSS stores have been laid out in a way that I had little to no trouble finding the items that they carried.

So all-in-all, I wasn't very impressed with this location, including the initial directions I was provided by staff while I was there.

So disappointed in the decorating of a retirement cake I just picked up too embarrassed to take it into work tomorrow had to take it to another decorator to fix it up

Great store to shop at. Love the $1 fresh bread that's always available. It's also great as I collect PC points.

Good selection, good prices, but can be picked over and short in the meats section due to cottagers in summer.

Not my favourite place. It starts with always having to have a coin for the carts (and don't get me started on how long you have to wait in line to get some change for the cart) to endless issues at the checkout.

Great produce area, pastries, huge healthy for you section, friendly staff. The store is bright and clean and easy to navigate.just avoid the Koodo Kiosk (attitudes, lies and excuses)

This place has so much! Ready made foods, clothing fresh bread and fruit. I will make this place an hibitual stopping place

Big store but feels crowded due to the bad layout. Too busy during the week. Everything is more expensive than what I find in Hamilton. Parking is OK and staff are friendly. Easy self-checkout area. I won't be returning.

Great variety, fresh food, but the sushi chef speaks very little English and was little help picking out a selection for my son.

Use to be the only place we would shop. But the prices have been going up steadily in the past year. So foing comparison shopping now.

Disappointed in the size and selection. Not a full size superstore with limited selection noticed in frozed PC products and frozen dinners. Also noticed higher price in basic groceries, higher than the off season. (Brick of butter same price as the 1/4 bricks) This store is a disappointment for locals main store.

Make sure you are not loonieless or you will not be able to get a shopping cart. Left arm is now longer than my right from carrying an overloaded shopping basket.

Like most other RCSS, too big for some, lots of choices for others. Lots of parking, good checkouts.

Went in to buy prescription sunglasses. The optical store closed for 2 days due to staffing problems. How big is this store. Always out of specials throughout the store.

Horrible store not a fan of Loblaws at all, have to say there management choices are usually questionable but my gf loves there organic section of stuff that is good for you and full of sugar.

I use the Click and Collect and have had the best service, they have shopped exactly how I have requested in the notes and always are friendly to me when I pick up. Highly recommend this store and the service
