Recollet Falls

I wonderful trail to bring you into the heart of the Canadian shield, French River history, and a bit of a work out!

What a wonderful hike. Not too difficult and it was worth the end result. Even got to see a rattlesnake up close!

Great hike, bathrooms available. About an hour down and out. Bring bug spray.

Hidden fall. Parking available. No entry fees. Need to walk a bit to reach the falls. Make sure to have mosquito or bug spray.

Very nice, easy, short hike. The falls are very strong. Not suitable for swimming or kayaking. The canyon is steep. There is no way to get out of the river on this bank. Enjoy the hike and the fresh air.

An obstacle course of rocks and roots, but the destination is well worth it. I had my walking stick and hiking boots and was glad for them, but the young and vigorous could easily do without.

Trail begins just to the left of the French River visitor centre.

Stay on trail. No reason to kill the lichen and grass! Take your garbage out with you.
