I had a great experience with Dr. Yang. She took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes rather than just writing a prescription and sending me on my way. I didn't feel pressured to buy my glasses here, which I appreciated. 5/5!

We are new to Oshawa and my husband needed an Ophthalmologist. I booked him an appointment to see the ophthalmologist and since they have optometrist I booked an appointment too.
Anyway during my appointment right away I noticed that the assistant I had was a bit rough. She almost hit my face when she's adjusting something. Dr Yang was nice and friendly but she would not give me my prescription her reason was because I am not going to buy glasses with them. I know it's illegal for her not give me my prescription because I paid for it. I didn't bother to urge as was already upset and I don't want to make a scene.
The next day was my husband's appointment with Dr Jason Kohman I think his name. Before my husband goes in the room to see him the assistant told the doctor that my husband need an interpreter which we never told her. I usually go in with him because he had hard time hearing and concentrating because of his other medical issues.
Anyway when we were in Dr Kohman was already rude to my husband, he keep stopping my husband when he was trying to explain about what's happening to his eyes. You see his right eye had a blood or bleeding like the veins were injured. He gave us a medical word that only doctor would use.
To make story short he keep insisting that where we came from the air was different than here in Canada. Canada has a dry air and that's what causing my husband's eye to bleed. He keep repeating where we came from and even though we said he been here for 40-45 years he keep saying that we're not because he has accent.
That really made me angry because this Dr just descriminated us. I could have told him off right there but I controlled myself. Even my husband controlled himself.
Never in our life here in Canada that we encountered Doctors like this. Very unprofessional.
