Red Lantern Pub

I am extremely sad to hear that the red lantern is permanently closed now. I have been coming here for seven years, and have always enjoyed the food/service/and atmosphere. (one point off only because the tap dancing people upstairs, but that's not really your fault!) I have been coming here for lunch every single day for so long now, and would bring my father with me or his friends. Some of them would even drive from 2-3 hours away just because I raved about it so often. The staff were all incredibly nice people. I wouldn't usually get personal on a review, and I know it won't matter writing this since it's closed now, but I feel the owner deserves a last hurrah. I had been feeling extremely low in my life, and coming into the red lantern for my daily pizza and fries combo made my day, that would otherwise be pretty miserable, filled with joy. To all the staff that took the time to talk to me and make me feel more like a fellow friend than customer, i thank you all so much. You guys went above and beyond what your job entailed. To the owner, you made a place feel like a home away from home. You will be greatly missed and appreciated. I hope if you have any further endeavors in the food industry you'll let all of us know, because I for one would definitely stop by. Food is excellent, and the sound level of music is low, so it doesn't disturb conversation

Oh my gosh I love this place, went they're with my teenage grandchildren, the food was fabulous. My grandson had steak it was cooked to perfection. My granddaughters had poutine and pizza as well as I did, it was so so good. I will definitely be going back. The service was bang on very polite courteous food came quickly, a must try.

Pleasantly surprised by the food in both quantity and quality. I have only done take-out but the pizza and the pasta were delicious.

Good place for group gatherings without music blasting over conversations. Good food and drinks variety for everyone. Tino provided friendly service and she was very helpful in all our requests and inquiries.

This pub is an absolute neighbourhood gem! The food quality is excellent.on busier days the wait/service can be a bit slower but it is still totally worth it.

I live extremely close to here and i love stopping by for a comfort food and a beer, extremely nice servers and delicious food. I come here almost once a week.

Fantastic jem in the heart of mid-town. I have tried many dishes here over the years and everything is delicious and cooked perfectly, portions are generous and the pricing is fair. My friends and family are always very pleased with the food, service and ambiance here.

Absolutely one of our most favourite places to it in TO! They made a bunless California burger for my hubby too!

Very funny and friendly staff. Had a few laughs with the staff, and are very patient. The food was well done and delicious.

What I absolutely love about this place is their Lunch Specials menu that’s available from Monday to Friday 11: 30 -2: 30pm. My office is walking distance from this place and for $12 I can get an actual decent lunch! How much is a Big Mac again? Their atmosphere is great for watching games or grabbing a few beers. People who work there are also very friendly.

I recently found this bar on maps, and I like it so much!

The prices here were very reasonable, and the food was delicious!
They also have low-priced canned beer to choose from, as well as a fresh pint, so everything from $6-9.
For the food, we ordered a Sweet Fried Chicken sandwich and Sonoma Valley Salad. The salad was fresh, and the chicken was juicy.
They have a Great atmosphere, service, food and beer. We will be back soon for sure!

I have been going to the lantern for close to six years now The food is always excellent, and they can easily accomidate mild food allergies. They have a wide selection of drinks at great prices. Highly recommend!

Great little place off of Mt Pleasant, staff were very attentive and quick. Food was delicious, especially with the $7 Guinness promo. Will be back to try more of the menu.

Fun neighborhood pub with good food and friendly staff. Some noise from tango lessons if you sit in back, but not the end of the world

Classic hole in the wall that's seen some revitalization over the last few years. The chicken wings are solid and the staff are always nice/honest if the to-go/online orders are taking extra time.

The pasta was okay. The wings were good, they have some interesting flavours to choose from. And the butter chicken was quite nice!
