Red Lobster

I always love eating at this restaurant. I have noticed that they don’t send the biscuits out as quickly as they used to. We were sitting and waiting for other members for arrive for quite some time with only drinks and weren’t offered the biscuits. We finally got the first round (1 biscuit per person) shortly after ordering our meals. Upon finishing them we repeatedly requested another round and it only came after our meal was completed. Still love the establishment, the food was great and the waiter was friendly.

Atmosphere was great, service was exceptional however the food was all cold. Upside is the manager was very apologetic and removed one of our dinners from the bill. We will definitely go back

If you enjoy screaming kids running all over the restaurant where the management does absolutely nothing so you have to shout at the server who can't hear you then that's where you wanna go.

I used to think the food is very good, but the last two time that I been there food was very salty, quality and quantity of food has gone down and in return price is gone to.
I will not go back anymore

We pay a lot, for cold, dried new orleans salmon dish. The resto is no more as it used to be.
We love the food when we travel in US. Here, in Ottawa ar least, particularly at Merivale rd, the experience not good.

Came here for the Endless Shrimp for $27 per person. I had the tequila lime shrimp, coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp, shrimp linguine alfredo, sweet chilli and garlic. My favourites were the grilled shrimp, sweet chilli and shrimp linguine. You start with 3 choice of shrimp and they come back to ask you if you want any more. Each plate comes with 5-6 shrimps. We ended our meal with 9 plates of shrimp and were really full. For $27 it's a pretty good deal.

Not sure why we had to wait like 10-15 min at the beginning for a table and 15-20 min for our first plates to arrive. The place was pretty empty at about 5: 30pm. The decor was pretty dusty in my opinion.

Over an hour long wait after placing our orders in (It was quite busy). However, the server and food were outstanding. Highly recommend the Endless shrimp.

I hate to complain at restaurants. But when my steak was undercooked, the staff jumped to and got me a new one asap. They were super accommodating and friendly. This is the type of service that is rare. Well done. I will be back.

Only music in the background was missing but the great service by Larissa D.was exceptional with a 22% tip.

Still the best seafood family place around. I drive 2 hours to eat here. Service was fantastic.

The food was phenomenal, everything was hot and fresh, seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection.

I wish I could remember the name of our server because she went above and beyond to make sure we had a good evening.

Great food and nice staff. Don’t try calling in to get any info, probably the worst restaurant to try and communicate with over the phone. Otherwise food is great and a nice location!

Ordered the ultimate feast, trio, and two kids lobster tail meals. Service was good and social distance respected. Biscuits were fresh and hot apps were good. I was not impressed with the ultimate feast at all or the kids meals. I wish I had taken a picture but the reduced portions and the sub par quality seafood and veggie offering (green beans over broccoli) aimed at cost savings than customer satisfaction were a downer…. Went back tonight and both food and service were excellent. Thank you RL

Terrible service from the greeter. I assume she has zero training. The server Ahmed never returned to our table to see if we needed anything, we had to flag down other employees. He failed to bring more biscuits with our meal as requested. The food was fair, given that it is not east cost fresh. The lobsters are tiny compared to what is actually available.

Wasn't busy (Sun pm) which was nice. Covid measures in place, restaurant was very clean. Service was ok. Biscuits were amazing! Rest of the food was somewhat lacking. Could have been hotter. Mysterious addition to my rice (looked like a largish chunk of cream cheese covered in rice). Sent it back and received a replacement serving of rice, after the balance of my meal was finished. Server thought it might be mashed potatoes that accidentally made it's way onto my plate. The menu changed since I was last there, they no longer have the chicken dish I usually order. Was disappointed.

My husband and I had a very good time at Red Lobster last Thursday. It was our first time since February 2020, just before the first lock down. As always the food and drinks were excellent. Our server remembered us and treated us like friends. We were surprised by the fact that they didn't jacked up their prices like so many restaurants. I ordered scallops wrapped with bacon as my entré, delicious, my main course was linguine Alfredo with big shrimps, lots of shrimps! My husband had the fish and chips and a ceasar salad. Every thing was fresh and delicious. Looking forward to our next visit, very soon.

Service was lousy, the food was lukewarm and other tables that were seated after me got their food before I did. The manager did give us a discount and free desserts. The point of eating out is to get warm meals you can dig into, good service and be treated as a VIP. I am truly picky about service. I didn't go for a discount or free desserts. I went for an enjoyable meal!

We don't get to eat at Red Lobster much anymore. They no longer have any locations in QC. We enjoyed our meal. Shrimp and lobster were cooked perfectly. The restaurant was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. We will be back on our next visit to Ottawa.

This place is dank, the biscuits are fire. Can't wait to come back to ottawa and get more red lobster. UNLIMITED BISCUITS! Stop by the sqdc first and get your pre munch on.

Found the distance between tables was comfortable.

Best part was the speed that the delicious food came out. I have no complaints about the quality or the quantity.

Red Lobster have always been a good seafood restaurant. They use to have an excellent price/quality/quantity ratio.
Since the pandemic hit, this restaurant sadly lost a star. I know time is hard, and that's why we continue to encourage restorers. The quality of seafoods went down, and the prices of plates went up.
I hope this is only temporary!

The food is always very good but the staff and the service is even better! A big thank you to all the staff who are always so wonderful!

We (3 adults) went to Red Lobster, Merivale on Monday at 4: 45 p.m. - very early but needed to get an early dinner and we half expected that their would not be a "chef" in the kitchen and we wondered just how good our meals would be - What a wonderful surprise. All of our meals were cooked to perfection by the Chef and the optional addition to the menu of the crispy baked brussel sprouts were excellent; my family didn't know they liked brussel sprouts, but after tasting them, they were hooked - at least on this recipe. The buns, of course, were hot, flaky and delicious. Our wait staff person, was so good; she was able to describe some of the dishes, the new refreshing drinks and was able from experience to recommend the brusel sprouts; great personality and attention to detail completed a very good dinning experience. We also loved the new Presto tablet at the table - great idea!

What can I say, the food is simply delicious. Everything is cooked to perfection and presented in a timely fashion. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It’s been a long time since we’ve had dinner here for many reasons but mostly due to the quality of our food but we had dinner tonight and I was beyond impressed right from the service to the food, it was excellent and the quality and quantity was where it should be for what you pay, we’ll definitely be returning to this location

Poor customer service. It looked like the front desk staff did not wanted to accommodate us when the restaurant was half empty.

The food was amazing! I hadn't been in years and I was so excited to go back. The service was very fast and the food was delicious! Thanks to Sam for being an amazing waitress and to Ashleigh, the amazing cook! Definitely going back soon!

A lot of choices in their menu, they also offer non sea food if you have allergies. I've been there twice and their service is great.

Our meal was tasty but it was missing a side, as well as our cutlery. Frustrating because the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious.

Let's all be mindful restaurants are attempting to get back into routine and recipes. Our service was amazing unfortunately the food wasn't up to par. It does happen but the manager was very considerate and took all the food off my bill.

I respect the way the situation was handled. I can't wait to come back!

Amazing service and food. The cooks (Ashleigh and Heather) went above and beyond! They upgraded my lobster tail because it was my birthday and I loved it.
Samantha was our server and she was also amazing!

Have severe shrimp allergy and they took care of me and treated me very well.
Was able to substitute the shrimps for scallops. Wonderful staff

I enjoyed a early dinner with my sister today. Lindsay our waitress was super nice and accommodating. She kept coming back to our table asking if all was well. I asked for a toothpick and they didn't have any she came up with a brilliant idea of using the plastic cocktail picks. I wasn't a fan of the shrimp alfredo pasta I ordered and she didn't think twice about offering me another dish, that was greatly appreciated. Amazing customer service and very pleasant. I need to share with you the most amazing experience I've had with one of your mangers at my local red lobster in Ottawa on Merivale Road this passed Sunday evening. The food and service were both first rate, but watching the skill and grace of the General manger Cherish blew my mind. She was engaged with her staff and operations so make the entire evening seamless. She was professional, and always smiling (even under the mask you could tell). Never once during my visit did she waiver from being a complete professional. The staff were always moving to her pace and everyone was so excited to finally be back to work. Keep up the great work

Started off with fresh hot biscuits, delicious Tempura calamari (came with tempura green beans, delicious) and a clam chowder cup!

Brittany provided amazing and fast service, from refilling drinks to keeping the hot biscuits coming!

For the main course we ordered Shrimp&Lobster linguine, the pasta was cooked on point and was full of flavour, very generous with the shrimp however very shy with the lobster!

You should definitely give this place a try when you’re in the area!

This is the best seafood restaurant in town. Their dishes are sizzling hot and very plentiful. Their desserts are very fresh and filling. It's a great place to celebrate special occasions.

Awesome food and great service! Had it for the very first time yesterday and ordered more today (it’s my birthday weekend) absolutely amazing food. Steak was cooked to perfection yesterday and garlic shrimp was mouth watering

I had placed on order online and when I got home, something was missing. I called and had a pleasant conversation with Cherish, one of the managers. She apologized and offered to mail out a gift certificate, which seemed more than reasonable. This was on the 28th of November. On the 12th of December, it had not arrived. Not a big deal, but I called and spoke to Patrick. He assured me that it had been mailed out and to let them know should it not arrive in the next 2 weeks. It was Christmas and delays were to be expected. Nothing came in the mail and I let it go. Then on the 19th of January, I decided to call back and see what happened. Cherish answered the phone and apologized for the lengthy delay. Well, what she did next, left me speechless. Literally. She offered to drop off the gift certificate directly to my house. This would mean that after a long shift, she was willing to do this on the way home from work. This speaks volumes of Cherish's commitment to her customers and their satisfaction. This really moved me. Thank you! Oh and in case you're wondering, the food was delicious as always. Exceptional value and superior quality.

Just got the thursday special to go. 2 eat for 45 it was plenty of food and absolutely delicious. Merry Xmas eve!

Ordered take out this evening. Restaurant was backed up and a little behind. Items were missing from my order which was an additional charge. Have contacted customer service regarding this.

I paid 57 dollars for the 'Island jumbo coconut shrimp family meal'. I am amazed by the serving of fries and green beans; the sides I selected are for '4 people'. These sides are portioned for about 2 people. Also, the fries are not crispy and flimsy and soggy. My wife loves your restaurant and we were only satisfied with the shop, essentially $57. I have ordered from this restaurant many times, you should get it right on a Tuesday. I am seriously unimpressed and I expect a credit from the Owner. Let's see if he bothers to respond.

They could of used less salt in the garlic butter. It was over whelming with salt. We had the lobster with shrimp and Salmon. We will go back again. Hopefully it was just mistake with the salt.

Not that great. They were struggling tonight. But Gary sang happy birthday so I appreciated that. Oh my, there was no toilet paper in any of the 5 stalls. But the nice hostess did double duty and came in to refill for everyone.

Any restaurant owner take a look it's easy to understand success, good food, lots of it, throw in great staff and you have the receipt for success.

Red lobster is always a nice place to go. If its busy you will wait abit to even get water or biscuits. But it was good food regardless.

Service was great, no wait and the food was awesome. The live lobsters were decent size. Atmosphere was nice, quiet and able to have conversation without any issue. Washrooms were well maintained.
