After booking a trip with another company only to discover that they were charging in USD (and that the trip would actually be nearly an extra $1000 with the conversion to CDN), I am relieved to find a company that is clear about the currency they are charging. I am really excite to have found a reasonable price for my trip.

Never again! Awful travel company! Loooong wait times on the phone, rude customer service, hidden fees, fees, fees, fees! Phone line cutting off for no reason.

Booked a cruise with them and they want to charge me cancellation fees on top of taking my whole 1000$ deposit even tho final payment is not even due! Called the cruise company in question they denied it was them that asked for the fees so lies and deceit! Shame on this company.

Made and cancelled a booking before the booking was processed. Was informed that the booking was cancelled. Less than 24 hrs later the cost of the flights were debited from my bank. After multiple calls to Redtag, during most of which the agents were virtually inaudible, I was initially informed the charge would be reversed in 24-48 hours. It is now seven days later with no reversal of the charge. My last attempt at a call with an agent, also muffled, produced the information that it could take up to 14 business days for the reversal in my account. I do not recommend this company due to their poor lack of audible customer support and lack of timely remediation. A booking that was not even processed yet money was taken.

Scammers, I called Sunwing for a totally different question and came to realized they issues me $400 partial refund to redtag and redtag just took the money! God knows how many of these things they do everyday

99% of the time i book with Red Tag and i have never regretted it! Great price and service.and if you have changes or needs that you forgot they have always come through for me at a great cost considering the last minute requests. When i book with other on line service i either pay several hundred more or have a headache.

I dealt with Kerry Simon and had an exceptional experience booking, changing our destination before we actually even left on our vacation. She was both professional, helpful and went beyond the call of duty. I would 100% book with her/red tag again and will recommend to family and friends as well.

Easy to book, Easy to understand the pricing and no additional cost added when you are ready to check out and pay. I have used RedTag for the the past 15 years and the customer service is excellent. I normally book on line however whenever I need to change or request anything added to my booking, they are more than will to try if it was possible. They would contact the hotel and find out, they do not give you the normal easy answer "NO, sorry it not possible"

We bought a vacation package to Cuba through red tag, but we wanted an adults only hotel. When using their filters Melia Jardines Del Rey showed up, so we booked it. We later found out that that hotel is not adults only and there is a specific different hotel, Melia Cayo Coco that is adults only. This hotel was nowhere in the search results at the time of the booking! When we reached out to them about what clearly is an issue on their website, they wanted to charge us $1800 more to change the booking to the adults only hotel and had the audacity to ask us for a screen recording. As if screen recording is something you do when you are booking a vacation. We went back to the website to see if the issue existed, and of course, it was fixed. We booked all of our vacations so far through red tag, but after this scam and the fact they tried to charge us for what clearly is their mistake, we will not be booking any of our vacations through here. Good luck getting a response from them or getting them to answer their phone, it took weeks to get an answer and we are so close to our vacation.

I just came back from my vacation three weeks ago and despite all these negative reviews, mine surprisingly went well. I booked a package with Redtag back in the late summer/fall and wanted to cancel after reading the reviews but couldn’t unless I paid the hotel fee (which was $1800). I prayed through it and hoped for the best. Upon confirmation I find that it’s best to email them as you can never get anyone via phone. They sent my flight and hotel details earlier than expected in early January. Everything went PERFECTLY; my flight and hotel. I am contemplating on booking through them again as this was an easy process for me. I’ve only given a 4star review for somewhat poor communication as people should be able to speak on the phone, not just emails! Hopefully those who book in the future have a positive experience as I did.

My experience has been awful. Made a booking online where there was an error and I immediately tried to call the line and NOONE can help. Only line that answers is payments line which are offshored and they can’t do anything. 2 people I spoke to said my issue has been escalated and I’ll hear back. It’s been one month and haven’t resolved my room issue. ABSOLUTELY awful experience and horrible, horrible customer service that just take you in circles and do whatever to just end their call asap.

If I could give a "0" rating I would.

I don't understand how this company is still in business. It must be new customers who have not had to call in for any reason.
I have not even gotten through to a customer service rep, but I'm not expecting much service based on the other reviews I've read.

REDTAG. You need to either hire more people AND/OR create the option for online chat (chat bubbles) OR figure out some other way to make your communication more accessible/fluid.

As it stands right now, I will adamantly deter people from using your company for anything!

For a simple question, you have to wait for hours to answer, and your service is very bad. I must have bought a ticket from you before, and I must have bought a ticket for my companion, for which I had purchased insurance, and you did not return my money with the documents I provided. It was 1100 dollars. This time, I bought a ticket for my wife from you to get air miles. You kept me on the line for hours. Instead of keeping me on the line because of this issue, you could have easily included it in your online program. That's why I won't buy from your line again. Thank you very much Hadi

I recently called to get some assistance regarding our upcoming trip to Puerto Plata, after 4 hours of waiting for Air Transat on the phone. I needed to find out if our hotel was ok since the hurricane just went through various parts of the Dominican Republic. When I finally got through to Air Transat, the representative was not helpful at all. I asked him if he could call the hotel and check if they are open since he didn't have an answer for me. He said they don't do that and told me to call Red Tag.

I proceeded to call Red Tag and had the pleasure of speaking with Starr at ext. 22072. She advised me that Air Transit should have given me that answer as it is their responsibility.instead of her asking me to call back Air Transat and wait another 4 hours, Starr went on the Internet and found me the number for the hotel and even looked at the path of the hurricane to put my mind at ease. She assured me that Air Transat has to send us a notification if there are any problems beforehand, and if we arrive and the hotel is closed, it is their responsibility to put us up in a hotel.

I have been having problems getting my passport among other issues and this trip is my husband's gift to me to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. When I called Starr, I was extremely stressed out and worried. She took the time to help me and put my mind at ease.

Starr is such a wonderful customer service representative. She is professional, efficient, kind, friendly and very helpful. You are lucky to have such a great employee. I have her extension now and will only call her for any travel plans in the future,

Booked a trip online, received email confirmation and my credit card has been charged. 48 hours later I received a call that the price of my trip has changed and I owe an additional $600 or they canceling my trip. The trip I booked is still advertised online for the same price I paid. This is completely unacceptable!

Booked my latest trip online, and even though there was quite a long wait on the phone, Customer Service was prompt and diligent in correcting an error on my reservation. A great experience so far - let's see how the trip goes!

Hello. Do not to use this travel agency They are totally false. Everything written in the description of my hotel was a lie. They sold me a trip to Cuba for 7 days at Hotel Atlantico Havana. There is no running hot water. I haven't taken a shower for 6 days. Today there is no cold water. Reception says you must speak to you rep from the airline. Day 6 and the sunwing representative is still not there, all the photos on the redtag.ca website date from 10 years ago I think, this hotel is old. Full of people who this fight at 8 p.m. I lock the door to my room and stay inside because it is an unsafe hotel. The food is disgusting, and we’re told that there are 3 restaurants. There is supposed to be a gym, water activities, souvenir shop tennis court ect. All of those are listed on the red tag.ca site in the description of this hotel.
How can a Canadian company send Canadians to an unsafe place? I have only one thing say to you: "shame on you", as soon as I return I plan to file a complaint for misrepresentation. My life and that of my spouse is in danger here.
I hope that no one will do business with this travel company because it is totally false. They do not check if it is safe. They just take your money.
Please for your safety and that of your children avoid this travel company.

Terrible company. Book a vacation through them, received my tickets with my name misspelled.

Called several times, given a different answer each time with a promise of a callback and never getting one.

Use the site to compare prices BUT BOOK DIRECTLY THROUGH THE TOUR OPERATOR.

Should be no star for communication! Redtag needs to hire more agents. 4 hours in queue (and a call drop at that stage) is completely unacceptable. Or suggest more ways to reach you (email/chat).

I was extremely disappointed with Redtag's customer service. If you buy tickets and don't have any kind of problem with your flight like changing days or location then you'll be fine. The second you DO have any kind of issue that requires customer service, the experience is almost always terrible, they don't help very much, they say they will call back with more information and never do and they don't take responsibility for the problem they have caused. I will never use them again.

Was extremely excited to book for my family of four, first time travelling since the pandemic. Had to call due to the price on the lowest calendar tool not being accurate. Call was answered by Adrienne who asked what my reason for calling was and cut me off to ask for my information when I was simply trying to clear up the reason for the price dispreancy. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and continued to cut me off for the dutarion of the call and did not answer any of my questions. Unfortnate experience as we have used Redtag in the past. However due to the unprofessional call centre we will be booking elsewhere for a better experience.

We were due to fly to Cuba on June 3rd 2022. I was taken to hospital by ambulance the day before due to feeling ill. Called Redtag from hospital to explain and asked to move vacation time to another date. They flatly refused and wouldn't let me speak with a manager. There lack of caring is absolutely incredulous, not to mention I am now out $2300. I would like everyone to spread this everywhere on social media. Thank you!

This agency has terrible costumer service.i book a flight to santo domingo from toronto for december and my flight got canceled 3 weeks ago I called them to check as they did NOT inform me about the changes to my flight and all they can offer me is a refund or a flight change to punta cana I told them just to change it to puerto plata and they said ok perfect yes. They didnt do anything all they tell me is that they have to talk to the airline about the changes its been 15 days from that nad i havent got an answer about my flight. I got tired of waiting and told them to put it to punta cana but just different dates as they told me they could do that right away without contacting the airline and it will be a fast.
Now they are telling me that they have to call the airline for that and i have to wait I asked an agent to put a supervisor on the phone as i needed to speak to one of them and he did not put one. And just making excuses.
I do not recommend this agency to anybody terrible customer service my experience was bad with them i recommended you to buy you flight somewhere else.

THIS SERVICE IS TERRIBLE THEY WILL KEEP MAKING EXCUSES TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DONT DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.

Literally the worst. They cancelled two of the three hotel rooms I booked due to a "system error", on a weekend where every single hotel in Ottawa was sold out. They were not able to relocate our group, all while we were stranded during a rainstorm. I am still waiting for a refund, and no one ever seems to answer the customer service phone. Don't book with them.

Never again this ruined my whole day booked 5 tickets to travel from yyz-fll saw it for 371 by the time i put in my info and it was confirmed it was a total different price. Called the agent and told her at 4: 30am when i was booking it was that price even had a screen shot of the price and yes it was in CAD dollars not even to honor it your i had to cancel all tickets book directly with the airlines your better off

ZERO STARS! After 7 years of using them for every travel arrangement I have made, they botched a flight completely, lied about my insurance, tried to scam me out of my insurance premium and were shady about everything. This after several phone calls of over a 1 hour wait time each time. I finally had to tell them that nothing happens without my permission. Definitely filing a complaint with TICO! HORRIBLE. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! ZERO STARS.

Here is my experience (I have email proof and better business bureau complaint) :

Purchased from redtag.ca on December 24 2021 as a Christmas gift: Destination: Niagara Falls (YYZ) Departure Date: Thu. December 30,2021 Return Date: Sun. January 2,2022 Duration: 3 Nights Paid in full: $1259.94 CAD Cancellation Policy: - Free cancellation up until Dec 29,2021. - Cancelling between Dec 29,2021 and Dec 31,2021 incurs a penalty of $267.04 CAD. Contacted red tag via phone multiple times prior to December 28 with hours of being on hold and nobody ever answering. Sent several emails beginning December 28 requesting a refund as per cancellation policy.

No response was given to date despite continuous attempts of a resolution. IT HAS BEEN MONTHS AND NO RESOLUTION All I am told is that they do not refund via email and will get back to me with a response on whether other hotel will compensate me to some of extent (I PURCHASED FROM REDTAG. CA AND WAS NOT ABLE TO GET ANYONE TO ANSWER ANY OF MY MULTIPLE CALLS REQUESTING FOR CANCELATION) This is ridiculous and absolutely unacceptable! I just lost over $1200

Once I purchased the trip I noticed a spelling mistake on my name. To get this corrected I emailed redtag and didn't get response for a week. Then I called and had to wait in the line for 1.5hrs until someone answers. The person who answered was not very good with customer service and she did not make the name change correctly. I had to call again and wait for another 2 hours on the line and agent blamed me that I gave the wrong spelling (like I don't know the spelling for my name). Then she charged $25 for the name change.
I am extremely disappointed and will not book with you again.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. My brother had booked a flight to Thailand and had to connect through India. He was told no connecting flights through India until may 31st. We immediately called hoping they could rectify the situation or offer a refund to book a new flight and they said they had to look into it and could do nothing right now and didn’t know when they could. My brother is now out Uber money to the airport… Covid pcr test money… his hotel in Thailand… you get the point. Do NOT use this company. They take your money and don’t try to help when something goes wrong.

You want to lose money go thru redtag.
Always book with the airline directly. Use Redtag to find your deals and then call the airline. Pay the extra. It is worth it.

I booked a trip to Mexico for my family based on wrong information that was given to me by redtag. When I realized we can’t do the trip due to immigration issues, I called regtag and they said sorry it’s your problem.

I said okay, and I asked them to change the flight to a different destination. They confirmed the price in email and noted that there is no change fee as the new package is indeed cheaper.

I went and booked my flights in the USA to arrange my travel plans before the redtag trip and then 2 hours later redtag called and said sorry we made a mistake and you should pay more money. When I said you are responsible for the extra, they said sorry, take it or lose it. All we can do is to report it to management to see if they consider giving you a voucher.

I am so helpless as I have never seen such a bad customer service and have no idea how to pursue this situation.

I don’t know what to do now.

J’ai réservé un forfait sud une chambre pour 3 à Cuba. J’ai réservé ensuite la chambre de ma belle mère avec la même carte de crédit puisque je lui paye.une partie du voyage car elle va aider à s’occuper de ma jeune fille de 4 ans. Au lieu d’indiquer qu’il est interdit d’utiliser une carte de crédit d’un détenteur qui n’est pas le même celui inscrit et au lieu de juste bloquer la transaction et me permettre de le refaire avec la carte de ma belle mère, Redtag a gelé le processus en stipulant qu’il était interdit de réserver la chambre de nouveau. Comme il étaient fermés à 22h30, il fallait attendre au lendemain matin 9h pour entrer en contact avec eux. Ma belle mère qui est une personne âgée s’est sentie forcée le lendemain de payer finalement pour une chambre moins intéressante dans un coin différent du te resort pour 150$ de plus car la disponibilité et les prix avaient changés. Avoir su je n’aurais jamais passé par Red Tag, qui aurait pu juste indiquer clairement que la carte de crédit doit être la même que l’un des occupants ou bloquer la transaction pour permettre de la répéter avec une autre carte.redtag a ruiné ce qui aurait pu être un beau voyage! C’est ma pire expérience a vie!

Absolutely horrible. Do not book through them. Especially do not book with their travel consultants. Read the reviews. Complained to sunwing and they laughed and said they know. So apppalling.
