Reflections Hair Salon

I have been a loyal customer of Reflections for over 20 years and now drive for 2 hours to get there because it’s worth it. My thick head of grey hair gets so many compliments! It’s so easy to manage! Robert is soooo talented!

Last September, I visited this salon to get a perm, as my wedding was fast approaching. Right from the start, I was warmly greeted by Rob, who not only did my hair but also ensured that I was comfortable throughout the process. What made the experience even more delightful were the engaging conversations I had with Rob – a truly kind soul)

The staff there are incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming and professional environment. Now, let's talk about the results: my hair looked absolutely stunning! Rob did an amazing job, and it's evident in the skill and care he puts into his work.

Here we are in January, I lost track of time post wedding and honey moon, but writing this review has been on the back of my mind throughout) I'm writing this review with a heart full of gratitude. I deeply appreciate Rob and the team for their exceptional service. My wedding hair was a resounding success. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for top-notch hair care and a genuinely pleasant experience.

I want to express gratitude to Reflections Salon in total, as it has been my third visit to it, and I do like what my hair looks like after, to say the least. And especially I want to thank Galya for turning me into a blonde, she is a professional of high class, leaving both: me and my hair astonished by the result:) I am really happy and satisfied with the quality of my hair as well as the cold tone of it! I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but I had a negative experience at this salon and I want to warn other blondes. I won't name the stylist who tried but failed to give me the silver blonde highlights I asked for. He meant well and tried his best, but just didn't have this particular skill set. Despite an initial consultation that left me feeling reassured, after two lengthy appointments that totalled 11 hours in his chair, my hair looked nothing like the pictures I'd shown him during our consultation. After the first appointment, it was dark rather than highlighted, an odd grey-beige instead of bright and silvery. After the second appointment, my hair was a shocking pale yellow and I was in tears. At this point, the salon's owner finally stepped in and suggested that I should have booked with Galia, the resident colour expert. Perhaps he might have made that suggestion after my first set of poor results. Galia did indeed help me. I returned for a third visit and she gave me a free toning appointment, which left my hair looking normal again, basically the same as it looked when I first walked into the salon. Neither the stylist who experimented on me nor the salon's owner offered to refund my money. I know hairstyling has become a cut-throat business since the pandemic began, but this was a bad experience, I should have demanded a refund. My suggestion: if you want silver blonde hair and you do decide to visit this salon, book only with Galia. I now see Vanessa at Hair on Second Avenue, also in the Glebe, and she does a great job on my silver blonde because it's her specialty.

Had a great first experience at Reflections. Galya is a colour wizard and transformed my hair to a beautiful beige blonde. I knew right away that she knew what she was doing and she gave me very good recommendations. I felt relaxed knowing I was in good hands and loved the result. I would highly recommend Galya!

Forgive my delayed review but I went to Reflections in January completely on a whim. I asked to see a master stylist and by chance got Hilton. I had a very specific request in a hair cut and needed a lot off. Hilton knew exactly what I wanted and was so excited to do it. It was the best hair cut of my life! It’s also grown out super well and when it gets a bit longer I will go back and ask Hilton to do exactly the same hair cut! I’ve been enjoying the style so much:)
The price was really reasonable, he was super professional and personable and overall it was such a great experience. Thank you ️

My hairstylist is Hilton. He is fantastic stylist who knows his profession well. So polite, kind and care about my concern. It was the first time that a hairstylist trimmed my hair instead make it short. I just requested not to cut the length and he truly did whatever it was my dream hair style for long time. I strongly recommend him to anyone in the town. Thanks Hilton for the amazing job.

Wow, Hilton hooked my hair up! Took a lot of care and suggested a style which I appreciated a ton as a person with chronic indecisiveness.

Slippers were a plus and the atmosphere was nice, would recommend anytime.

Cersin is the best hairstylist I have ever had. She is friendly, kind, and her attention to every detail is outstanding. I regularly get compliments on my hair, and I recommend Cersin most highly.

I had a haircut appointment with Hilton yesterday and it was wonderful. He listened to what I wanted, showed me pictures to make sure we were on the same page, and cut my hair perfectly. My hair looked amazing. Hilton even showed me how to style it to be able to recreate the look I wanted. We had a blast chatting and he made sure I was comfortable. The staff at the salon were all very nice. I will be going back. I fully recommend Reflections!

I saw Hilton in early November, 2022 for a cut/style & was very pleased with his expertise. He took time to ask exactly what I was looking for; I have shoulder length, wavy, fine hair. I saw him again January 2023 for high and low lights. Nobody had ever suggested this to me & I am extremely happy with the results! Would recommend Hilton

It took me a while to decide anew where to go. I moved to Ottawa a couple of years ago and didn’t have a good experience so far. Then I made an appointment for a haircut with Marilyn: very pleased, it looks great, exactly what I wanted. She is a good stylist and also a good listener. Thank you, Marilyn!

I got a haircut from Hilton and he was amazing! Super lovely and friendly and cut my hair even better than I thought it cut be. I asked for a wolfcut and we looked through pictures for inspo and it came out perfect!

I have been seeing Hilton consistently at the Bank Street location and he is incredible - I would highly recommend. I am always feeling confident with my cut and style each time I walk out the door:)

Have you ever heard of the Cinderella effect? When someone cuts your hair very badly, does a hairstyle make you happy? After the first hair wash do you see that you paid dearly and that your hair is horrible? That was it.my experience!

I always have SUCH a good experience here and Lucie (as always) gave me the perfect blonde 'do that I was looking for. She's a gem and truly knows what she's doing. Thank you!

I went in with high expectations. But I am so very disappointed. I showed the stylist a picture of what I was looking for but she went so so so much shorter. I clearly mentioned MULTIPLE TIMES that I wanted shoulder length. I now look like Willy Wonka from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory with hair shorter than my ears. I cried the whole way home. I have a party and graduation ceremony coming up but I don't think I will attend any of those. I look and feel so ugly now. The stylist seemed like a nice person but I am just heartbroken by this experience. Feels great knowing that I will miss my graduation. They basically ruined the following couple months of my life. Even if I get a refund, they won't be able to give me back my graduation day.

Not the greatest. I came here for a men's cut. The stylist that cut my hair was super friendly and kind, but she did not seem the most experienced. The cut was okay, and while washing my hair it felt very rushed, and lots of water spray. The whole experience felt very rushed, even though it was about $40, and at a salon. They do however provide a 20% discount to any student which is really great.

It was my first time at Reflections and it did not disappoint. Got my hair done by Hilton and he did exactly what I wanted. He was knowledgeable and helped me figure out what to do. Definitely going back.

Got my haircut with Hilton, who was absolute joy. Fresh cut with a nice amount of edge. Even my family was knocked off their feet when they saw me. Highly recommended.
