Regal Nails, Salon & Spa

So I had to find me a nail salon quick because I was going way in a day on a trip and had no other choice but to get my nail’s done at Regal Nails. I wasn’t thrilled to get my nails done there because of the reviews I read but beggars can’t be choosers. When I came in Brenda greeted me with a smile. I thought ok she’s t least friendly. She did shellac on my nails nd regular edicure on my toes. It’s been three weeks and 1 day since I had my nails done and I have to say I found myself a go to Nail salon, my manicure and pedicure has not peeled off at all. Just my nails grew and still looks like I just had my nails done! Will definitely recommend this place!

I have been coming here for a couple of years. Always given the most attentive customer service, and love the work I get done. Any creative design I want is always possible, she is artistic. I have had gel nails put on & filled, gel nails taken off, manicures, pedicures, eyebrows waxed and dyed. Never disappointed! Do yourself a favour and make an appointment ahead of time, she's always busy which tells you something!

I am seriously angry at the business practice of this nail salon. I had a beautiful shellac polish and manicure done two weeks ago and I went back to have the remaining polish removed and “cleaned up”. I agreed to a “manicure” after the polish was removed and the price was clearly labeled on the board by the cash register as $22.00. Imagine my surprise when the owner (manager?) stated I owed $45.00 cash for the service. Since it was done, I felt I had to pay but I clearly stated I was angry and pointed out the price on her board. She said “Oh, sorry that’s the old price. It’s $45 now. ” I said that was more than twice as much, and now I would not be tipping, which was unfair to the esthetician. I actually paid LESS ($28.50) for the original Shellac Manicure! She shrugged and I left to do my shopping in Walmart. When I was finished, I went back to repeat I was still angry and they should honour the posted price (which now was conveniently covered over with a sticker saying $32.00). She shrugged and said she thought I had Gel Nails removed (when she had clearly re-priced the Shellac service), gave me $11.50 back and refused to look me in the eye. If you want a service done at this salon, I recommend asking the price first. It sure left a slimy taste in my mouth!

So I actually phoned back as requested in the reply to my review.

They had no clue what I was talking about and while I carefully explained they had offered to make my experience "right" and I wondered how they planned to do that, she asked if I was from "Google".

I decided to cut my losses and frustration, told her to have a nice day and we both said, "Okay, goodbye".

This place def deserves zero stars, from their scamming tactic of not doing a conversion from U. S.dollars to their horrid work of a simple waxing service! The lady who took me in was specifically given clear instructions on how I wanted my eye brows done, but yet she still managed to mess up the simple of tasks for which I now have to wait over 1+month just to have my brows some what back to their original state. For anyone who is traveling from the U. S or anywhere else please be aware of this place! Use Canadian dollars as their sorry excuse when using your credit card is that their "machine" didn't accept the card. Simply disgusted, Regal nails do better at who you allow to franchise for you as some have a clever way of robbing their customers.

I’ve been before and was happy to return. However today I stayed with Yumi for Nails and in my 37 years she is by far the best nail technician. She’s a perfectionist and I can not find one mess up on my set. I’m not going to gatekeep ; she’s SO GOOD! I will continue to only go see Yumi:)

I have been going to Brenda for over 15 years, i will never go anywhere else not only because she does a perfect job everytime, but she is always so nice to be around. My honey and I see her once a month, and as long as Brenda is there, we will be there.
