Reid's valu-mart

This place is like a gold bar wrapped in brown paper. Outside, it looks pretty ordinary, but inside, it's amazing. Lots of great food, prices are good and super clean. It's the only place we will shop now.

Can't seem to carry the pop I want - from now when they do not have it - turning around and choosing another store - exactly what I did this morning

The people here are very quick. I like coming here for my groceries, and PC optimum points are so helpful with shopping

This Valu-mart has a bakery and a deli with hot meals. Although I don't buy a lot of hot meals from there, the hot meals I've had in the past were good. The overall store is a bit on the smaller size and parking can be an issue at times. The freezer section has fresh frozen meals that I believe they make in store that are delightful. My issue can be the fact that you are unable to take your cart out to your car. They have grocery Butler service if you need it, but at busy times, you may wait for this service. I'm not taking anything away from them; at least they have this service to begin with. I also have an issue with the organization of the store. This is opinion based on my part; since I'm disabled, I hate having to walk more than I have to. I looked for Ricotta cheese and thought it would be with the specialty cheeses by the deli but it wasn't there. I took a walk to the other side of the store and looked at the other cheeses and it wasn't there. By a miracle, a store employee came out of the back room and directed me to a third place where they have cheese. Same with butter; it's not with margarine. I hope all that makes sense to somebody.

This grocery store is the best. They always have many cashier ready to check shoppers out and they don't force them into self-check out isle.

Good size store that's easy to navigate. Great produce, bakery, deli and meat, plus everything else you'll need!

They have the aisles clearly marked as to which way you can move amongst them. The store is akwardly designed and the aisles are quite narrow so the directions helped. You cannot use your own bags here yet and I wasn't sure where their hand sanitizing stations were. Overall it's a good reason to visit Lindsay and they do have a nice downtown with newly renovated and exceptionally wide sidewalks.

Prices are decent, but some of the cashiers are very rude. I visited a couple days ago, and was listening to music as I shopped. Removed my earbuds as soon as I got to the checkout lane, and left them hanging around my neck. The woman checking out my items and the one bagging them seemed to think my ear buds were still in, and made snide comments towards me and laughed about it, commenting that I couldn't hear them. I have difficulty with social anxiety and this interaction sure has not made me feel great about enterring the store in the future. Even if someone believes another person won't hear it, they should treat them with basic courtesy, especially then on the job.

Never a line up to get, the store is always clean, organized AND stocked. Do pretty much all of our grocery shopping here, everyone's so friendly and helpful when we do need ask for help

Very nice grocery store. Staff is friendly and shelves are stocked, and it's very clean and welcoming.

Great grocery shopping store. I realy like being able to buy a 10 dollar package of the best hot chicken tendars around for supper after a long day of work and grocery shopping before i go home

Pros: Good variety of food, nice staff, collect optimum points and produce is usually fresh. Cons: can be pricey $$$!

We used to shop here all the time up until today. I was in Value Mart this morning and picked a package of 4 pork chops, finished my shopping about $40 worth. Got home a short time later and opened the pork chop and imediately wanted to throw up. They were marked best before the 19th of March. These had already turned and they absolutly stunk. So back to the store and I asked to see the store manager. The owner came down and I asked him if he would like to check my pork chops. He declined and I asked him why is rotting meat being sold in his syore. He told me he has no control of meat products in his store. I did get my money back but I won't be back. Beware and donot buy any meat products that have yesterdays date on them.

Love this store. Best place to shop in my opinion. Great prices, big selection and they use PC points. Wish they were open later.

Great employees, pc points system is subpar compared to optimum. Having employees that cook food and pastries in house is a bonus and great too see.

When I visited Reid's valu- Matt the deals were great. They have the best meat in town. It's a very nice clean store. Staff are very helpful.

Always good deals.easy to find everything, clean. The raspberries tend to mold fast but i think thats the berries not the store.

Make sure you try to meals to go counter, they have the friendliest staff and the best lunch options in town for under $10.
I also love all of their made in store bakery items.

Parking lot needs lines repainted taking the light posts into consideration. The store needs to stock dairy free cheeses. Otherwise it’s pretty typical.

Convenient downtown supermarket. Store however is very outdated- I remember when it was the site of the old arena - and needs some modernization. It should be on the main street- it is just an empty lot on Kent St. Not even a big sign telling you it is there. Selection is good however and less expensive than Loblaws on the other side of town.
