Water heater was replaced. Revised appointment time was changed because I came down with COVID, & this was after technician was unable to fulfill original appointment because of illness.

Dealing with the person on the phone was annoying because they told me the techs would be showing up outside of the time window they initially gave me. However the techs called me immediately after and showed up very shortly after. When Cadeem showed up he was very friendly and provided great customer service. It’s ironic that their name is reliance cause they are not reliable. Had an appointment to have my water heater replaced on Saturday dec 4 between the hours of 1 to 6 pm. Stayed home anticipating a call. NOTHING! Called customer service at 5 only to be put on hold for 15 minutes and my call disconnected. Called back and was not offered any explanation why no one bothered to show up or even call. Spoke to another agent to book another appointment for Sunday December 5. I got a call this time saying the installer is not able to make it and now will be coming on Monday.

So FRUSTRATING! They don’t give a s*** about customer service. They are just after your money. If reliance can read this, I hope you have the balls to contact me and make things right

I had a new furnace installed by Reliance. My old furnace needed to be replaced and Todd Martin came that evening to sell me a new one. The next morning Adam Kubovic and Justin Hillier came to install the new furnace. They installed the new furnace, new high efficiency ventilation, and new thermostat and I was up and running by lunch time. All we’re very professional, fast, and explained everything very clearly.

I turned on my furnace for the first time yesterday and noticed there was a high pitch sound coming from the furnace which was very distracting when working from home in the basement. Called Reliance yesterday and they had a technician out to my home by 9 am the today. The technician was very polite and fixed the problem within 30 mins. Kyle was my service technician today, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about the service I received. He called me 10 minutes prior to showing up so I was aware when he would come. When I called Reliance for a finance issue and annual maintenance, I am so happy they booked Kyle as my technician. Not only was Kyle smart, professional, knowledgable and thorough, but he also ensured covid safety protocols were being adhered too by keeping his distance and wearing a mask. As well, he wearing booties on his shoes when entering the home (which I really appreciated). Kyle took the time to explain my furnace leak issue, cleaned the unit, tested the unit, tested temperature in ductwork and changed my filter. In addition, Kyle answered my so many, many questions regarding my furnace, thermostat, HRV system, a/c unit, electrical panel via turning a/c unit off, furnace humidifier, frequency of filter replacement, how everything circulates through the home, settings on thermostat, and when to turn things on and off, and the biggest "exceeding service performance" was tending to my floor drain issue to above water and mould buildup. He was an amazing technician that provided me with extremely knowledgeable information on my home HVAC system and how to keep it running smoothing and efficiently. I have never had a technician who took the time to educate and explain everything to me. I am more than grateful that Kyle was my technician today and I'm proud to be a Reliance customer because of him. Thank you so much Kyle for all your knowledge, patience, kindness and assistance today.

After purchasing a new home during covid, 1 year ago we just noticed our 2016 Rheeme furnace not working, just ahead of winter and just out of warranty!
Reliance assigned us "Kyle" as a tech to come check it out. The appointment was prompt, as scheduled. Kyle was diligent and patient in explaining the issue and all options available. The most expensive part of the furnace had failed (the motor) just out of reliance warranty. Kyle took it upon himself to work with the manufacturers warranty and come back the next day to replace and ensure our coverage in a unique situation.
Going the extra mile for us as new customers, with an inherited system, instilled trust in the services provided by Kyle under Reliance.
I would definitely recommend this fella. Knew his stuff and really helped us out on what could have been a very expensive replacement part, remediating the unfortunate situation painlessly.

We contacted Reliance to schedule furnace maintenance before turning the heat on for the winter. Nate arrived on time and was professional and efficient. She unfortunately found a crack in our furnace that required a red ticket and replacement. She explained what she found and provided us with pictures as well. She helped us find humour in the situation with her friendly personality, and she set us up with an appointment with sales before she left.

The next day, Cam came by to take us through our choices. He listened to our needs and walked us through the options we had to replace our furnace. We never felt pressured, only informed, and we were satisfied with the choices we made by the end of our meeting.

The following day, Adam and Justin came to install our furnace. They worked quickly, cleaned up extremely thoroughly, and explained the operation of our new system. We were thrilled to have heat by the time they left!

Our overall experience with Reliance was wonderful. Everyone was professional and very personable, and we could see how knowledgeable they all were. We also appreciated the quickness of their service- we found out about the cracked furnace on Tuesday and had our new furnace by Thursday. We would definitely recommend Reliance and we’re so grateful for the efforts of the whole team!

Edited review - please make sure that anyone selling anything from this company gives you the full terms and conditions and sends you everything in email. Their terms were not laid out properly (or divulged) for us and we’re paying for it later - quite literally. Install was also done incorrectly at first and then repaired later. They also charged me for four months for a coverage plan that I cancelled. Lost a customer for sure. Go for a more local company if you can because this is a huge Corp - when I called their main line, I got a call back from Florida. Also whenever they emailed me to go paperless, the website wasn’t active.

Service was great, from start to finish! Tim Delaney met with us to discuss all of our different options after we called for A/C installation. Tim was available the next day after our online inquiry. Very professional, knowledgeable, and he helped us choose the right option for us.
Installation was arranged within 2 days. Our installers (Justin, Bill, and Colin) were great. I got a call about 30 mins prior to their arrival. They were very punctual, professional, and paid extra attention to detail. I had a couple special requests concerning the installation and they were happy to accommodate. They completed the installation with no trouble. They cleaned up after themselves and took me for a “tour” of the new system and it’s components, making sure I had no concerns prior to them leaving. I would highly recommend Reliance. They seem to take pride in their work and make sure they have quality people working for them.

Mike Goosney and David Wilson from Reliance were in today for furnace and ac install. They were professional, knowledgeable, courteous answered any and all questions. Removed and took away old equipment and all packaging from new equipment.
Installation was neat and tidy and cleaned up area nicely and explained operating procedures before they left.
Would highly recommend Mike and Dave for any of your HVAC needs.

The customer rep (forgot the name, sorry) who spoke to us was great in setting up a prompt in perfon appointment the same day. Todd Martin, the consultant, was exceptional in answering our questions and helping us understand the technicalities of the installation. We closed the deal the same deal and the installation was setup for the next day.
Adam and Justin were our technicians. The guys did a great job keeping us informed every step of the way. Just superb. Covid protocols were followed every step of the way.
Overall, a 10 on 10 execution from the first interaction to the installation.

Brandon (The sales person) was great to deal with. Informative, friendly, and concise. The two men who performed the installation were professional in every aspect of the job. Everything was left clean. The company even helped out with a few electrical problems that were not part of the installation. Highly recommended.

I paid for a package to do regular maintenance on my Furnace and replace the filter. With Covid I haven't called them and the Filter is way overdue. Called today July 6th to book someone in and the earliest time was NOVEMBER. I had to fight and ask for a manager/supervisor just to get them to agree to drop off a new filter. Paid for yearly maintenance and I'm not getting it in a timely manner. Perhaps a refund is in order.

Waited all day for someone to come fix our hot water tank. Jamie from ATL finally showed up. He was very rude and felt like he was rushing thru the call and told me he had to order a part and may come tomorrow.that is unacceptable I have little kids, why doesn't a big company have parts for their rental tanks? I pay very $$$ rental monthly and you don't have parts.very unimpressed.

Update as of June 27. The ac is still not working correctly. Don't use this joke of a company. After speaking to another company in regards to this issue I was fully scammed by this company. Seriously. Use anyone else. Not worth the nightmare

Awful from start to finish. The only people that seem to know what they are doing is the techs. Nick, Chris, Sean were all excellent. The issues lay with the incompetent office staff. None of which seem to know what they are doing. Creating incorrect work orders for the poor techs despite being perfectly clear on the scope of work to every single person I talked to in the resolution department none of which was relayed to the techs and multiple incorrect service appointments were booked wasting techs time and mine.

My mother called Reliance for a safety/maintenance/tune up on her furnace. Approximately 5 minutes later your serviceman Nate gave her a red card and turned her furnace off. Apparently it was leaking water and deadly carbon dioxide into the house.
Nate was rude and aggressive, like he had an agenda to push. In his explanation of how dangerous carbon dioxide is and how lucky she was to be? !

Fortunately the weather had changed and she has a fireplace. My mom didn’t make a hasty decision to replace the furnace (agenda?)
We hired Enercare for a second opinion and met serviceman Dave at the job.

1) The water was a result of a loose ring clamp. He tightened it and flushed the drains - Agenda?
2) The carbon dioxide reading was 0 house/22 outside. - Again I ask, lucky to be?
3) A full check was completed and the red card removed

William is a great technician. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Fixed a leak I had in my furnace and explained everything he was doing so that I understood what was the cause. He even stayed back for a while to wait to see if it came back since it takes some time for the water to accumulate. I highly recommend the heat protection plan offered by Reliance. Can't go wrong.

The representative, Mitch Roberts, was very professional and courteous.
He called when he was 15 minutes away. Parked on the road - so he didn't block our driveway. Very polite and cheerful. Got the task completed in under 30 minutes! He had to replace a part and my husband and I think the replacement actually looks better than what we had previous!

Technician Matthew Zawislak arrived to our freezing home today to diagnose the furnace. As a single mom I know nothing and gas scares me. He reassured me everything would be OK and explained step by step the situation and how he was going to fix it. I am thankful Reliance has a technician like Matthew working for them he made me feel comfortable. My heat is now on very thankful. Definitely a 10 experience.

Please read this review if you're thinking of using Reliance services. My wife and myself just moved into a new house about 2 months ago and we've had hot water pressure issues since we moved in. I'm a very mechanically inclined person and I had a friend that's a master plumber giving me advice on what and where to test and what values to see. Throughout my testing I found that the issue was with the hot water tank itself. I had tee'd into the main water line coming straight out of the tank and the pressure was extremely low. I called Reliance since our rental is through their company and they sent out a tech to check out the tank. He spent about an hour or so checking it out and couldn't find any issues with the tank and thought it may be another plumbing issue. I did further testing and confirmed again that the tank itself had to be the issue. I tee'd into the cold line going into the tank and the pressure was good but still extremely low coming out. I even bypassed the tank itself through where I had tee'd in and I had full pressure throughout the house. I called Reliance again and they sent out another tech to confirm what I had tested. This tech's name was "Hakim", as soon as he walked through the door he seemed to have a bit of an attitude. I showed him how I was testing and where, and he completely dismissed it and told me that's not how you test it properly (even though my friend, the master plumber, advised me to do it this way). He told me that there was nothing wrong with my tank and that it has to be another plumbing issue. I asked him how he knew that, because he never even checked the tank! He only went off the fact that it's only 6 years old. By this time I was aggravated and asked him to leave. I called Reliance again and spoke to their customer solutions department. They finally granted my tank to be replaced. They sent out a tech yesterday that was very professional, and did a excellent and thorough job. Our hot water pressure issue is now fixed, and we have great water pressure throughout the whole house. The problem was a plugged water outlet line, it was plugged with some hard black substance that my plumber friend said was the tanks liner inside that was deteriorating (I've attached a picture). I wanted to write this review not to give Reliance a bad name or review but to warn the public about this one tech named "Hakim". Reliance themselves were pleasant to deal with, but Hakim was not. He was very rude, unprofessional, and in my personal opinion, not experienced enough to be working without supervision, or to be working in this field itself. My suggestion is if he does end up coming to your house, I would send him away and ask for another tech.

We are very disappointed with the service we have received from Reliance. We had NO HOT WATER FOR 10 DAYS. A part was ordered to fix our water heater. When a different part was needed, it was ordered but it never came. We had three different technicians at our house. A new tank was finally installed but it still doesn't work properly. During all of this time-a huge inconvenience for our family-it was very difficult to talk to the proper supervisors as we requested. Our questions were not answered by the management. We expect better customer service.

Reliance has been by far the worst company to initiate a consumer and business relationship with, the individuals who represent the company are disingenuous and deceitful. I am sharing my experience to ensure that no home buyer or individual goes through the same troubles, headache and consumption of time that I have gone through.

A home reliance representative, Sam, was schedule to come and discuss options with us. At first he mentioned that I will be saving approximately $80 a month on my monthly utility bills, that there will be a rebate back for an amount anywhere between $1000-2000, and that I would be invested in a more energy efficient furnace and A/C for more household. Furthermore, he stated that the monthly fee for the furnace and A/C will be $124 a month (made it sound like it was a flat $124 with taxes included). Let me just mention that out of all those misleading promises, none sought true. My monthly utility bill has increased about $40-60 a month.

Moreover, I asked Sam if the furnace rental charges can be included into my enbridge bill, his exact words. "yes we can definitely do that", about six weeks later I received my first bill and it was $163.49, not anywhere close to $124. During our in-home consultation Sam continued to speak about how great the deal is and that he would include a humidifier for no additional cost, he continued to request for my Visa card number and stated that he would have it ONLY on file for the 'audit department'. At this point, I had not signed any agreement or physically seen any agreement reading exactly what Sam had stated through the appointment. Six weeks later when I received our first monthly bill, I was beyond frustrated to see that he had deceitfully asked for my Visa to have pre-authorized payments set up for my reliance bill NOR was the reliance charges included in my enbridge bill.

Here is what is wrong, I told him that I have tenants in the house and the monthly bill is split, so the monthly rental fee will be split as well, and he said that is a good idea we can do that. Again. Another deceitful lie just to make a sale.

I also continued to let Sam know that we were planning on selling the property in 2 years, he stated "you can cancel out of this agreement at any time"

Everything seemed almost too good to be true but I was assured multiple times by a reliance "professional" that my costs would decrease, cancellation was anytime, free humidifier added to the deal, so why not. He continued to ask me to sign a blank sheet on his MS surface stating this is confirmation that what he stated through out the day I understood. There was no contract. No physical contract with any terms and conditions. I signed a blank page on an MS surface which they took and scanned over on an agreement that I have never seen before.

After receiving our first bill, I contacted Reliance and disputed all the concerns I had and had a horrific experience dealing with all the representatives hanging up on me as soon as I said the word 'cancel'. I knew I had to take this more seriously.

I have called them many times to have this cancelled, I have E-mailed them many times but no results it has been over a month now.

I signed a screen on his tablet where he said this is what we have discussed and we can use your visa in case monthly bills are not paid by their due date. He did not print a contract at the time of our home consultation and and I never received a contract. I only received a contract when I called to cancel, which had the computerized signature from our initial consultation that was for the understanding of the discussion.

Reliance you will not get away with scamming individuals. You will not get away with earning sales and commissions by being deceitful and untrustworthy to individuals.

I want my contract cancelled immediately and I want to inform people if they are deciding on whether to make the decision I made, do not.

If it's not broken, do not try fixing it.

Excellent service. The tech called 1/2 before arriving and arrived exactly at the time I was told. The tech Mitch had been here before and immediately knew what to do. I was told the cost up front. Both techs were incredibly polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The work was done in record time and both offered to clean up and take away the old faucet. I will be billed at a later date on my account. No credit cards needed. I have been very happy with Reliance. I have had both the plumbing and furnace service people here. They have all been incredible. This company hires great technicians. I have always received prompt, excellent service.

I called enercare to come diagnose my furnace big mistake, I kicked them out after they only wanted to sell me a furnace. Called Reliance for a second opinion they sent me a God send in Matthew Zawislak we talked about what happened and he immediately knew a trick with the furnace that often gets by passed. Matthew cleared the problem and Voila! My heat is back on without me having to buy a new furnace. He is very knowledgeable and explained the benefits to upgrade my furnace, he set up a consultation for me. Thanks to Matthew I am forever a Reliance customer.

Great service! Shane and Yvonne were very friendly and professional. Yvonne watched my newborn so I could move the car out of their way and also showed me how to use our new Ecobee thermostat before leaving. Shane was able to hook up the new thermostat in a new location for us without any issues! They were also very respectful of my home and were sure to cover the floors/remove footwear when necessary. Shane even gave me a heads up to leave the house with my baby before they signaled the smoke detectors so as not to wake him from his nap. Thank you so much for installing the new furnace in such short notice.

We had Kyle Bowden and Bill Hann out for a furnace installation.
We switched an oil furnace for a propane unit. Our house is nearing 100 years old and posed many challenges.
The guys were efficient, polite and very knowledgeable. They explained each task and feature as they went; making sure we understood all aspects of our newly installed furnace.
They paid special attention to their clean up and even after a very long day made sure we were not left with questions unanswered.

We are very happy with our entire experience with Reliance. This review is based on a new furnace and air conditioner that we had installed. One of the best parts was that they called ahead on the day of our installation to let us know they were on their way. Upon arrival, they put mats down so they didn't track in any dirt from outside. They were friendly, professional and quick. Our estimated installation time was 6-8 hours and they were finished within 4 hours. Once everything was complete, they took the time to go over everything with us, answer any questions that we had and they left everything extremely tidy. We would definitely recommend Reliance to our friends and family!

The installation team of Adam Kubovic and Luciano Lavoie xceeded my expectations in how professional and knowledgeable they were. The installation of the equipment looks great. They left my home spotless and did a great job on explaining the safety systems, the controls and the routine maintenance. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

My experience dealing with the Reliance Home Comfort staff; Jordan (sales rep), Mike and Nick (certified installers) was a very positive one. They conducted themselves in a very professional manner, provided us with operational knowledge and understanding of the newly installed furnace and AC unit. On the day of the installation Mike and Nick arrived on time and after a quick introduction they went right to work. Mike started working on the removal and installation of the furnace while Nick worked on the removal and installation of the AC unit outside despite the rain. They worked well as a team and independently ensuring the job was completed in a timely manner. They took the time to explain ever step of the removal and installation process. When the entire job was completed Mike provided me with information pertaining to furnace maintenance and operational requirements while Nick provided me with AC seasonal maintenance requirements as well as thermostat operational instructions. After all the work was completed they cleaned up after themselves, removed all of the old furnace/AC equipment, swept the floor and tested new equipment to make sure that it was working properly. In addition to the professionalism displayed they clearly possessed the knowledge and skills required in order to complete the task on time as promised. Thanks to the Reliance team; Jordan, Mike and Nick for a job well done and for respecting our home as though it was their own.

Fixed the problem, very friendly, knowledgeable. Only “issue” was how long it took to get someone out when our tank leaked. But the techs they sent out were great!

Kyle Bowden and Bill Hann did an outstanding job installing my furnace. They were very professional, polite and left the area after they finished the installation cleaner than it was before they started. Kyle explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions before they left.

Excellent job Kyle and Bill! You did more than I expected.
