My old furnace stop working, tried to troubleshoot myself but it was 16 years old and no longer worth it to repair, so I asked a friend which I heard he just replaced his. He recommended to call Reliance. So, I didn't waste any time and I called them last Friday somewhere at lunch time and scheduled a visit from a sales person in the same day, late in the afternoon. Long story, short, I had my Carrier furnace and the air conditioning unit replaced the very next day. I just could not believe it how fast everything happened.
The installers worked non-stop for over eight hours. I'm an aircraft engineer and I also know what it takes to install units like these. I watched them working and I asked them many questions. I was quite impressed by their knowledge, professionalism, and good working ethics.
This level of service I wish any other businesses can provide.

Our water heater was leaking and Joun promptly came over and quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Luckily for us he diligently tested the gas line and found it was leaking. He took much longer to fix the issue but did a great job and left us knowing our system was safe and working properly.

Good but we had an issue with our heating and it took 4 technicians to come and fix every day. It seems like The first two made a quick temporary fix but we were still without heat. The third one found the root of the problem and the fourth one replaced the part which was causing the issue.

We called Reliance at 7 am after our furnace stopped working. After placing a service call, we were advised that someone would come between 9-11 am. Steve called to advise when he would be arriving and was on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, personable, helpful and nice to deal with. He explained what the problem was with our furnace and happily fixed it. I highly recommend buying into the “System Protection Plus Maintenance Plan” as he gave the furnace a good cleaning too and was on his way. Steve was informative and left me with a good impression of someone that really loves their job. Thanks Steve!

Had the water tank replaced by Jun and he was such a nice technician. Very professional, clean and friendly. He made sure he didn't disturb anything in our garden while bringing the old and new tanks through. At the end he took his time to double check all joints and ensure there were no leaks, and he even checked our smoke and CO detector. Top notch person!

I never had such terrible customer experience in my life. We purchased a brand new furnace from Reliance and got installed about 10 days ago. It had been broken down twice. Same erro code. The first tech came and spent 1 and half hours to fix it. He didnt know the reason caused the problem, had to reconnect everything, finally it works. Then 2 days later, it broken again. This time, the tech said he couldnt fix it since it has a faulty board, he left my house without heat from Thursday night and Friday. I was so frustrated, upset and so worry about my kids get sick. Then the next day, I called so many times and tried to get the right person to solve the problem and get a new furnace to replace this broken one. Finally a customer resolution specialist took my case. She contacted the local service manager about what happened. Then they sent another tech to check the broken furnace again, and this time needs to replace a motor as well. The fourth tech came on Saturday and replaced a motor, but the furnace is still not running well, because the temperature drops under the setup temp, but the furnace doesnt run, I have to manually turn up the setup temp to make it work. The following Monday, I tried to get the customer specialist who I contacted last week, but I couldnt. She said she cannot call me back, and asked me me to call her office, to talk with whoever pick up the phone. I called and had been put on hold for long time. Then they got me another specialist. I had to tell her again about what happened, and told her my house temperature like a roller coaster, cold and hot, and told her again about I need a new furnace. She said she will call me back by the end of day, but nothing happened. On Tuesday morning, when I woke up, the house is so cold, and it's snowing outside. The Nest shows temp 21 degrees, but the setup temp is 25 degrees. I have to keep manually raise up the setup temp to wakeup the furnace. Then I called the customer resolution department again and tried to get the specialist I spoke with last day. Unfortunately, they ignored me again and said she is on another call and told me she will call back. I waited for another couple of hours, nobody call me back. It's been a week since I called them when the furnace broken down the second time. Nobody take my case seriously, and nobody followup with me. I have to call them again and again, and every time got a different person. The sales guy who pushed me to purchase the furnace, and who scheduled the installation by sending some subcontractors, also ignored me when there was problem happening. I never had a such terrible customer experience before. It's a scamming, and Reliance customer resolution department does not care about my complaints at all. I feel so sick and I dont know where to find the customer support and who can help me and my kids to have our home comfortable asap. Now I've been told the local manager refuse to replace it. How terrible this business is. I'm so shocked it happens in Canada. Totally unbeliebable.

I was so happy when I called Reliance. I thought I was going to have to wait a week for service and then an availability was open the same day which was so amazing.
The service was awesome. Great product knowledge. He explained everything that had to be done and was very detailed which was very nice because often we don't get that. The gentleman took his time, didn't rush, got things done correctly. I feel he went above and beyond offering information about things I was not aware of and should know.
I am so grateful. With things being so crazy in life for everyone, it was a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Reliance.

I rented a boiler with Reliance against my better judgment… with sales person from Reliance David Willenbretch … The contrat was for 137 … signed contract… they are charging me 152 after the fact… called several times … sent letters … even emailed that sales person… they all keep saying it will be corrected… trust us… will take care of it … will take care of you… this was from August 2021 up to now… got my invoice again today… November 2021… still not corrected… bad customer service… got so mad at them in one call I stub my toe and fractured it… biggest mistake of my life because now I have to escalate and make a formal complaint to the ministry of consumer affairs and BBB!

Overall very pleased with the service we received with Reliance. We basically had no hot water in our Hot Water tank on the Saturday, called the Service Number and scheduled for a Technician next day on Sunday. Technician arrived at 9: 00AM on the Sunday and within 20 minutes had issue repaired and hot water back on. The Technician was very courteous, explained what went wrong and repaired quickly. Had Hot Water within an hour! Can't beat that service!

Hot water tank was not heating water consistently. Trevor quickly deduced the hose bringing in cold water had to have a crack in it so cold water was not making it to the bottom of the tank. I appreciated Trevor's willingness to share his knowledge and his efficient work. Holly, my lab, liked him too:)

My concern is that the service technician indicated the service he performed on the paperwork included replacement of the filter however after he left I had to turn off all the lights and noticed that the filter he advised me he changed was the new spare one that I myself had purchased without leaving a replacement one in its place. I had to call the maintenance department to have one dropped off at my home. This should not occur seeing that I am paying for the maintenance package monthly the least that could be provided would be a brand new filter.

Our hot water tank had a fault code, and was not working. Called for service the evening before. Matthew (tech) was very prompt and cheerful first thing in the morning. Repaired the issue in 10 minutes. He did a great job explaining the problem and suggested some preventative measures to ensure it doesn’t come back. Very happy with the services from Reliance so far.

We have used Reliance for years and really trust their products and service, we've never had any problems. Most recently, Erik helped us with our annual AC maintenance and also gave us some tips on using our humidifier properly. He was polite, friendly, punctual and very respectful of our home. Properly outfitted and masked for Covid protection and stayed socially distanced too. Very happy and would 100% recommend Reliance!

I'm putting my review here since this is the closest branch to home. My family called the 1-866 number on the bill to request a furnace diagnostic and possible cleaning.

Person on the phone (the rep) said that the diagnostic fee (that i paid) is $99+tax and mentioned that If I needed anything more than a diagnostic on the same day, then I'd pay the new price of necessary parts and labor and the $99+tax would be waived.

Also, the rep was trying numerous times to have us agree to sign up for a protection plan after we said no a few times.

The (furnace) tech did not really find a functional problem even after performing a minor furnace cleanup job and carbon dioxide test of the furnace itself. I then find out that the $99+tax is only waived if extra work (that naturally is more expensive) is to be done (like repairs, cleaning, etc) on the exact same day.

I also told the rep that I'd pay with credit card if the person brings a credit card machine over (I don't want random people knowing my credit card#). To my dismay, the machine he used was his cell phone and he initially asked to see my credit card number so he could type it in. I literally had to borrow his phone just to type in the number myself.

The least they can do is either accept cash payments at people's homes or have a machine that allows people to tap their card as payment.

I'm very happy with Reliance installation crew that has come to my house, they were very professional and organized. It took about 6h to get my old unit out and my new one in.
The sales representative were very responsive, always available for my question, I've contacted him during the installation due to a wrong thermostat that was sent to me, he pronto called his warehouse and had someone bring it to me.
I hope Reliance keep sending nice members of it crew in the year to come.

The Sale representative was very pleased until the day after the installation occurred, to make this that I call "Drama" short, I will describe the situation. The CSR Mike booked the installation and they did not show up, so Reliance has a policy if that happens they should have paid me $500 what was confirmed by Mike. Since them Mike has give me all kinds of excuses why the money never got credited to my account. I've called 1800 number trying to talk with a Manager but the person who answered cannot do that. They always get my phone number for the manager to call back what never happened. Shame on you Reliance to lie to your customers. I hope some still cares about your customers to fix the problem and get back to me.

Just wanted to leave a quick note about our service call this morning with Abdul relating to a water heater issue (December 24th, 2018).

Adbul was great, very courteous, explained everything and performed the necessary steps to ensure the issue was resolved. Time was taken to explain how to troubleshoot future issues using the stickers on the water heater, which i had completely missed for this call. Very much appreciated this.

Not to mention this was December 24th, so I a very pleased and grateful to have this looked at before the holidays.

Repair guys were great. Bought a new furnace, but then it stopped working the evening after they installed it. Called around 10: 30pm but apparently they don't come out to fix their faulty equipment after 11pm. I have 2 young kids and had to go without heat that night and it got pretty cold. Not impressed with the customer service.

Very happy with arrival time, received a call before he turned up. He found the problem and fixed it, Turned out the leak was caused by a cap not being tapped or tightened properly.
I was a little disappointed with Reliance for the fact that it was not installed properly in the first week place. We also a couple of other issues with our new hot water tank, blocked pipe resulting in no hot water, exhaust pipes through the basement wall not being sealed properly letting in cold air, the overflow tube has just been left running along the basement floor into the drain.

AHMED WAS VERY HELPFUL, HOWEVER DID NOT TURN THE WATER BACK ON AND COULD HAVE BEEN BECAUSE THE TANK WAS BUSTED. YOUR COMPANY WHO TOOK THE WORK ORDER TO GET A NEW TANK PROMISED THE CONTRACTOR WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO PUT THE NEW TANK IN AS IT WAS AN EMERGENCY UT HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME TO GET THEM THERE. I WOULD SUSPECT YOUR SUBCONTRACTOR OF "YOUR ELECTRICIAN" IS NOT RELIABLE AND TAKES TOO LONG TO REACT TO EMERGENCY. I AM NOT HAPPY WITHE THE SERVICE AND STILL WAITING FOR YOUR DEBRA TO CALL ME BACK.

Although I’m not a big fan of equipment rentals, our house came with them already so we had no choice. We have had to get service on our water heater several times when the sensor failed and all the techs are friendly, knowledgeable and quick when onsite. They try and usually call ten minutes before arriving which is nice. One downside is it is typically next day service which can be a hassle with no hot water.

Exceptionally poor service from Reliance. We have been without a working hot water heater for 3 weeks - which means no hot water nor heat in our apartment. Reliance has sent multiple technicians to fix the heater whom all looked at the tank and did not know how to fix it. We had one technician walk in and spend the entire time swearing under his breath about this call and how he shouldnt even be there because he didn't know what he was doing. Finally reliance decided to replace the tank, and schedules the appointment.its been 2 days of no shows and we are still waiting for someone to show up.

I would never recommend Reliance to work with, work for, or support. This has been an extremely time consuming and costly experience for us, on top of the experience of having no heat.
