The heater tends to stall and not work as well when you actually need heat on a cold day for instance. We have called them, they never seem to be able to address the problem.

HVAC technicians were amazing, thank you. However the disorganized folk at Reliance sent out my parts to an address in another province, had no others in stock and then had to courier them to me delaying the operation of a furnace that had been red tagged by Enbridge. Also, my last 3 service calls that included replacement of humidifier and air cleaner filters…. Were not completed until yesterday. Furthermore the technician arrived 2 days ago to make the repait having been told the parts were here and they were not… meaning he drove for more than 2 hours unnecessarily. Poor organization…yet again. Oh, just remembered…my $700 carrier thermostat still does not work properly despite 2 or 3 technicians looking at it.

Thieves! Is the worst service ever, you terrorized me over the phone for a billing mistake you made, not me, you. And that affected my credit. All I asked more than 5 times was for a payment plan, but you don't do that, oh no! It was you mistake no one helped me, they all answered any questions like robots and never give any options. Obviously those 5 star reviews are fake, you paid for it no doubt. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this company.

Ease of scheduling appointment for next day. The service tech called to confirm and then showed up promptly on time. Hot water tank issue was repaired within 5 minutes, literally. A sensor was deemed at fault and was repaired quickly and efficiently. Great service all around.

My hot water tank began a slow leak a short time ago. When I called Reliance I was able to get a service call the same day within 3 hours from time I called.

The technician that was assigned to the job was very professional and courteous. He took all COVID precautions as required. He walked me through the issues with my hot water tank as well as during the re-installation process of the new tank answering any questions I had.

Upon completion everything was cleaned and left just as was before the work was completed. All and all a job well done!

I finally got around to scheduling maintenance for our HVAC (air handler) and air conditioner. The technician, Sean, was courteous, professional and kind. I admit I don't know too much about these systems. Sean was very helpful and informative in providing guidance for ongoing maintenance and next steps. I was previously hesitant to call Reliance out of fear of pressure tactics (as there have been with other similar companies) but there were none. I have no hesitation in recommending Reliance for service and repair.

Just installed a new Heating/AC System a few months ago and was having a difficult time using the Nest Thermostat. The furnace would turn on and jack the heat up to an unbearable 24.5 degrees on it's own! After trying to figure it out on my own for 2 weeks, I gave up and called Reliance for help. They sent a friendly, knowledgeable and professional Technician named Alex Lindon to my home less than 3 hrs after my call! Amazing! Alex was right on time, went right to work troubleshooting and fixed the problem within 10 minutes of arriving! A job immaculately done!

We purchased their Protection Plan for our Furnace to give ourselves that promised "peace of mind" and feel 24/7 secure during cold winter months knowing as promised on their website that they would be there in case of emergency. Well, today the furnace died. -9c in the house. -4c outside and still dropping. A customer service rep promised that someone will be here on. Dec 6 (in a week)! WHAT? Disgusting service.

This is my second negative experience with Reliance. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
The only reason I have it 2 stars is that the technicians that came were quite nice, though the guys who came to remove the equipment couldn’t care less about their dirty shoes inside my house. I have never had any service man or delivery guy come to my house and just walk in with dirty shoes.
The hot water tank burst after 18 years and needed removal. The original contract was with Oz who were bought by Reliance. We fulfilled the Terms of the contract; it did not list any additional fees after the fulfillment of the Term (10 years). Reliance of course, not only making thousands on the tank in monthly payments, needed to end it with fees, and really not giving the customer any other options, and more importantly, not honouring the contract. What a petty company. Really bad luck I ended up with them. Never again. Bought a tank at Home Depot, saved myself thousands of dollars.

Our technician was the very best! Ruel shared so much important maintenance information that we had not known or ever been told before. He answered all our questions, and instructed on what he was doing the whole time. We feel safe and secure knowing that we had our HVAC looked over by Ruel. Very bad service, the poorly organized company - no one knows what is going on. I signed up with Reliance for their monthly furnace and air condition services. I was told that it will help me save money and bring benefits such as fast service. My furnace stopped working right when I turned it on this season. I called Reliance for support. The guy come and told me that one small part is broken and he will order it and then install it when it arrives in 1-2 days. In 10 days nothing happened - no calls, no one come back. When we called them back and asked why it takes so long, it is only + 1 outside at night and we are freezing at home. They told me that they shipped our detail and someone received it. We told Reliance that we didn't get any package from them. After 2 hours on call with them, they confirmed that they don't know where they shipped it and don't know who received it. They told me that they will send the technician immediately. It was morning. At 5 p.m. They called back and asked if they come some other day as they are busy and how urgent our request is. We told that we have +15 temperature in our house with several electrical heaters that we bought because of their delay with fixing our furnace. They told - ok, we will come. Their technician come at 7 p.m. And told that they can't do anything without the broken part which he will order. I am not sure why then he come if he doesn't have the new part. He told that tomorrow they will fix the furnace as there is nothing to do - just change the broken part. The next day no one come and no one called. In one day we start calling them again, in 2.5 hours on the call we found that no one knows when they will come and when the broken part will be fixed. We are freezing for 2 weeks and still don't know when they will fix our problem and send us the new part. Do I still rely on their services!? No, I will definitely cancel our monthly subscription with them as it is waste of time and money.

I first met the reliance home comfort advisor on July 20,2021. The sales advisor told me that reliance home comfort was offering the Pulsed Flow-Through Humidifier for half price (the total cost is $563.87 including tax), so I agreed to proceed with the installation of the tankless water heater. However, it was not until I had to pay, when I found out I needed to pay in full before getting back the 50% ($265.86) credit from reliance.

On installation day, July 23, due to the setup of my house natural gas piping, I found out that I needed to pay an extra $400 to extend the pipe line from the gas meter outside of my house to where the tankless water heater is located in the basement.   So I called up the sales advisor and told him that I didn't want to install the humidifier and instead, use the money to pay for the additional cost for natural gas pipe line setup.   At that time, the sales advisor agreed and asked me to write a cheque for $400 to the installation technician so that they could start their installation work right away.   He noted that reliance home comfort would credit it back to my account afterwards.   I trusted the sales advisor so I wrote the cheque and the tankless water heater was installed by the on-site technician.

In total, I paid $563.87. It has now been a month and a half and I still have not received any refund yet.

Since July 23, I have called the sales advisor twice and he always told me the refund will come shortly. Afterwards, I gave up on him and turned to call reliance several times to explain my situation. After spending a lot of time on the phone trying to get an answer, the reliance accounting team told me that they did not receive the payment of $563.87 on their end. However, I have the receipt of purchase agreement for the Humidifier and I had the bank record of the charge of $563.87 as the proof of purchase. I just don't know when I can get my refund back.

After all this, I strongly believe that the sales advisor is not helpful.   From my point of view, he is not giving me the full picture of the offer (that I have to pay first and credit back later) and not able to help me getting back the refund on time.   I am very frustrated of his lack of professionalism and disappointed by his unresponsiveness.   He didn't follow up with my request of refund and I have to chase after different people in the accounting department. I would not recommend this sales advisor to any potential reliance customer.

Tremendously positive experience! Technician was very polite, but even more importantly very knowledgeable. He identified the problem quickly (bad sensor) and said he could fix it right away. While I was waiting upstairs, he came up and told me that he had noticed a leak from one of the joints in the exhaust pipe. So he proceeded to fix that too! Now that's going above and beyond, he could have easily just ignored it. Left me with a very positive feeling about Reliance.

Horrible service. I moved in recently and i saw that they were charging $40 + tax every month for a tank that was 15 years old. I dont understand how they’re still taking payments for such an old tank. I called to ask a few questions and noone would give me proper answers. How is one employee telling me i dint have a contract and the other one is saying i have contract? A 15 year old tank still has a contract? Not a single person helped and they asked for $400 + tax for cancelling or $700 to buy it but a brand new heat tank at home depot is $1000. It really doesnt make sense. I also didnt want to be involved in the contract but they sent me a letter that i agreed to the terms because i made the first payment. Well of course i was going to pay for hot water but why did they tell me that paying for it made me agree to the contract after i paid? This company cheats people and takes advantage. What a horrible experience

We had Derek come in for yearly maintenance on the furnace. On top of regular inspection and filter change, he also helped us to redo the wiring so now we have full control of the furance, humidifier, AC via Nest thermostat with all components getting independant power supply.

Needless to say, I won't have to worry about the Nest thermostat running out of battery like earlier this year.

$6701, & $4000 from different account. I have paid $2,000 extra. The salesperson agreed to return to me through my Visa Account within 2 weeks. Two weeks has passed, but Reliance didn't return money back to me.

We had Ahmad Nawa as our Home Comfort Advisor, and he was generous, sagacious, and very professional. His gracious attitude and commitment for us (his customers) was flawless. He explained everything in fine detail and made sure not to leave anybody guessing. He offered the best possible choices and explained his reasoning for those choices for the best customer satisfaction. He took immediate action upon our request for any inquiry or service, while also keeping a pleasant and positive attitude with his colleagues over the phone. He also promised that if anything went wrong within his services that he provided, he would want us to contact him, so he could try and fix the situation for us as soon as possible.

The amount of hard work and dedication that he portrayed was outstanding, and I would recommend his services to anyone looking for the best quality care for their home.

The technician was knowledgeable and was able to pinpoint the problem right away. I opted to have the furnace changed. He booked an appointment with the an adviser. The adviser called and came in no time as I emphasised I need the furnace installed as quickly as possible. The adviser gave me several options which was helpful in making my decision.

I had a service call today for my furnace due to some vibration noise. The technician who was assigned for this service call was Brian. He was very professional and detailed oriented. He took his time to diagnose the problem and fix it. He also went an extra mile to resolve another issue that I had with wiring of the furnace. He was very patient and took his time to ensure that the issues are fixed properly. I recommend him for any service calls and give him a 5 star for his customer service. Great job Brian.

Today I had my annual furnace check. Ruel was the person sent by Reliance and I would be only too happy to have him be my regular furnace / ac checker. He gave me a clear and understandable report on what he found (all was ok) and gave me some helpful suggestions. I hope that Ruel is able to positively influence the rest of his team on how solid knowledge, good customer service and a cheerful disposition is the way to keep your customers satisfied. Our water heater failed. There was some water damage. The unit kept leaking even with the power off. Reliant booked an appointment less than 24 hours away. Unfortunately, they did not bring a tank with them - had they done this, I would have given five stars. However, an appointment was booked for the following morning to finish the job. They addresses the leak in the first appointment.

Both technicians were courteous, as was the person I reach on the phone. They understood that I needed to be at work in the afternoon and had a toddler so having water was important. The second technician arrived 1.5 hours before the appointment time and got to work quickly. Thank you for understanding my concerns and addressing them. Much appreciated. I did not feel like I was working with a large company.

My furnace gave an issue and we called these guys as i had the protection plan. They came the 1st time and said the motor needs to be replaced and they fixed it in the 2nd appointment. The next day the furnace stops working and they came and fixed it. No issues so far. It again stops working and now a technician comes and starts telling us that we need to replace the furnace and he would send another person to give us a quote. The moment my husband told him that we dont need any quote and asked to fix the current issue (loose connection in the switch), he started telling that it is a safety issue and switched off the furnace and he ALSO SWITCHED OFF MY GAS CONNECTION. With 2 kids at home on a Thanksgiving day this stupid guy does this to us.for 3 visits the furance was fine and asa we said NO for a NEW FURNACE QUOTE, all of sudden it became a safety issue. NEVER GO WITH THESE GUYS. I have also placed a POLICE complaint on them.
