We had an electric failure in our rooms. I called Reliance Home Comfort-for Milton area, to fix the problem. Mr. Tom the electrician came to our house to rectify the problem.
Mr. Tom is very knowledgeable, he checked all the possible areas for the electric failure, located the problem and restored the power in our rooms.
Since we had an Electric Protection plan with Reliance, we were not charged.
Mr. Tom is very polite and very good at his work. Appreciate the work he has done for us.
Mr. Tom is an asset to Reliance.

All around Excellent Quality of Communications & Installation work effort. Initial tech rep, Hassib, Sales Rep Majid, and Installation technician, Paul, all did a superb job. Kudos to all and an 11 out of 10 for the extra service. Sales options presented very clearly with straight forward answers to my questions. Assisted us in comming to the right AC options.

Vedesh is knowledgeable, after troubleshooting he found out the pressure sensor we waited for three weeks was not defective. He solved the continuous running of furnace fan was that it was wired incorrectly
He explained about the various products reliance offered and I took the plumbing package also.

Great service done by this technician name Amarjit. The other technician who came was talking about parts orderings and all that but he came, looked at it and quickly fixed the issue without having to order any parts.

Simeon Lambert did an excellent job repairing my water heater. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty pressure switch in no time. He explained the problem and answered all my questions.

The repairman took the time to educate me and show me what to look for. Suggested taking a video of the diagnostic lights on the furnace so I can show what is happening in real time. He replaced the part and left old one incase problem should occur the new tech will see the change

I actually had a bad experience on the phone with the customer support rep. I only got a scheduled after 3 calls. You might be wondering why I gave a 5 Star even with the bad experience on the call. Well, it was because of the tech that came in. Daniel and Rudy were very professional in dealing with the issue. They exceeded my expectations. I believe the cust rep might have some gaps understanding the issue that is why they acted that way but with great tech support like Daniel and rudy, it can easily flip the experience. They even got me to sign in to a maintenance contract. Thanks and hopefully reliance would have more people like Daniel and Rudy.

The technicians of Reliance are good and knowledgeable. Iam modifying the rating from five stars to two, owing to billing issues and a non responsive customer service.

I rented an appliance from Reliance.

1) An appliance was installed. I signed the rental agreement where it was mentioned that the estimated retail price was quoted as CAD 3140.27, inclusive of all taxes.

2) I bought out the appliance on July 26th after contacting the customer service department. They charged CAD 3140.27 on my credit card (in accordance with rental agreement). I believed everything was settled.

3) On Aug 25th, surprisingly I saw another invoice being generated for a total of CAD 417.53 with 409.31 as GST/HST. I called the customer care department. They told that this is the tax on the appliance that was bought on July. I was surprised because this is contrary to what is mentioned in rental agreement. Also on July 26th, the customer care department did not say anything about taxes while buying out the appliance.

4) Unable to resolve my queries, the customer service department transferred to billing department. The billing department quoted a different price higher than price quoted on rental agreement.

5) After disappointed with shoddy service from billing department and customer care department, I tweeted about this issue. I was asked to write to office of president of Reliance Home Comfort. Nicole C replied to my email saying that a additional GST /HST of 409.31 is valid. She conveniently chose to ignore the rental agreement.

I have two queries.

A) Please quote a correct price on rental agreement and honor them at a later point in time
B) Please have SAME price for the SAME equipment. I got a different price from (1) Salesman who sold me the agreement (2) Billing department.

There has to be a consistency in quoted price. Different people are quoting different prices at different points in time.

I would have given a one star, had it not been for the knowledgeable technician who was competent to accomplish the task.

DO NOT BUY FROM RELIANCE! THEY DO NOT HONOUR THEIR MONEY BACK GUARANTEES. Reliance installed an air conditioner too small for the house. After months of back and forth trying to solve it, I called another company who provided a solution on the spot. I tried to return the AC to Reliance per the 100% Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee (which has taken several weeks, endless calls and zero progress), they are making me pay for the removal. Don't believe the guarantees in the contracts, they are not honoured.

Excellent service provided by Monesh Majumdar and his colleagues! Our AC died almost a week ago. We had some circumstances beyond our control but the competitor (who we *were* with) totally let us down. We have asthmatics in the home and we were hitting 30+ *at night*! A friend recommended we try Reliance.and here we are in a perfectly cooled home! New AC and furnace! Monesh provided more practical knowledge in his first 15mins than I have received from the competitors in TWO YEARS! He was even able do a SAME DAY install; readers from Ontario will appreciate what a bonus that was this week! We are VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS!

I had the pleasure of interacting with Monesh regarding options for replacing my Air Conditioning unit. Monesh was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful through the entire process from beginning to end. Monesh made the process seamless and stress free and I he answered any questions I had for him.

Overall, Monesh added to my positive customer experience with Reliance and I would most definitely say that Monesh is a great asset.

Adam was very well mannered from the time he came to the house from the time he left. He fixed our plumbing issue in a timely manner with true professionalism. He was persistent on trying to solve the issue at hand, and had the shower working in no time! We would highly recommend Reliance and Adam!

Adam came back to repair a few issues we had. Once again very professional, and well mannered young man. Definitely recommend Adam and Reliance!

The call centre service is terrible, the rep Ann Mary did not listen customer’s request, made appt for technician no show after two days waiting. Request to speak to supervisor, no supervisor, no phone number to call, no management in this call centre per Anne Mary. We have no hot water for three days. I called again Ann May discounted my call. I have to call again to arrange another Appt.
The technician was great, very professional and was responsible and on time.

I have a plumbing protection plan with Reliance, and called to set up an appt. I was easily able to book one, and indicated what areas I wanted addressed.
I received a call prior to the plumbing technician arriving. Joe R. Arrived and was courteous, and wanted to know what my issues were with respect to the plumbing. He was considerate to put on his mask due to Covid.

He followed me inside to each area and fixed each problem. He changed a shower head, checked both toilets for adjustments, and tightened the kitchen faucet, saving me money in having to have a new one installed. He even checked the shower stall, and assured me there was no actual issue. I enjoyed his sense of humor and his good advice.

Another technician also showed up, but I assured him I was in good hands. Job well done!

I purchased an ac from home relience 3 years ago. It doesnt work. I called for maintence as my unit is still under warranity. I had four appointments booked. Two were no shows. One a friendly indivudal was unable to help me.the third appointment was cancelled because they said I lived in a commerical unit. This is my home, I actually live in a building. I requested a manager to call me multiple times, no one calls me back. I am a single mom with a toddler I feel like they are taking advantage of me because theres no money in warranity work. Zero accountability. DO NOT USE.

Technician was really helpful overall. He ensured us having the knowledge to better determine the pilot light for the water heater is on. Very good service call!

Had another issue with the water heater leaking. The two technicians Steven & Simon who came here to fix the issue were top notch. They fixed the problem while walking us through the process, made sure we were well informed about taking care of the furnace, and even blessed us with a filter! Thank you guys for your awesome service.very pleased!

I contacted Reliance when I was suddenly left without hot water. Juan Llerena came and replaced the gas valve and showed me the calcium buildup in the thermometer. Juan is courteous and knowledgeable and explained to me how to avoid this problem from reoccurring in the future. I am very happy to have hot water again, and I’m very satisfied with Juan’s service.

Trying to repair an issue with our Reliance Flow max has been a living nightmare. We are residence at a condo in Brampton and
our condo flow max, which heats the home and our hot water (serviced by Reliance) has not working fully since Wednesday (November 21). We have no hot water and/or heater since that day. We have been hung upon, ordered wrong parts, been on hold for hours, not received a call back when promised, had technician who visit without having the proper training to deal with the issue and the list goes on.

We woke up to find that we had no hot water. We called the emergency line and two techs arrived well within the window they told us. It took him all of 4.3 seconds to figure out what happened. Unfortunately he didn’t have the part in the truck, but he stepped up like I couldn’t have even hoped and went to the warehouse in Mississauga and was able to add our special order part to his order. He then went above and beyond by coming back the same night after what must have been an incredibly long day to get us up and running in no time. Not all hero’s wear capes!

It was exceptional customer service experience I just had on New year day. James is such amazing experienced professional who is very knowledgeable, customer oriented and have passion for his work. I had issues with water heater and there was no hot water in my house. I called Reliance customer service and within 15 minutes ;James arrived and he fixed the issue promptly. Chris & Luke were here today as scheduled, diagonised the problem, and went out to get the replacement ECM motor from Burlington. They fixed it and it seemed to be ok. But that was not the case!

That was the first crew who looked at the problem. However, the heating system failed after a few hours. The next tech person who visited the next day, late in the evening (we had NO heat for 24 hours, & it was ranging -6C to -8C outside!) eventually said that it was most likely the low flame - high flame pressure switch that had also failed (very sadly not identified during the first visit when the system should have been fully checked), but he, Omari did not have the parts. Fair enough!

The house interior was getting colder, & the next day was Friday; a freezing cold weekend loomed! The part was ordered. The next morning when I called to check with Reliance Home Comfort (RHC), a somewhat unhelpful employee told me that “the part is on a truck and would be delivered between 12 & 4 pm that day”. Great! I offered to go to Burlington and get it myself to have it installed faster! No, said the gentleman. He essentially talked down to me saying that’s not the way they, RHC that is, worked! He added, rather gratuitously & arrogantly, that this is “an engineering matter” that only he understood! I didn’t volunteer that I probably understood it a whole lot better.

Cutting a long story short, the part failed to arrive! At 4.15 pm on Friday, I spoke to yet another person, & after an hour or two of wasted effort, & numerous calls to RHC, it transpired that the part wouldn’t now arrive till Tuesday 27th Nov. Four days later! That was the last straw! They had no idea of anything! The part was on its way; no it’s not; yes it is; no it’s not; & finally, it would be four days later! I couldn’t wait in a freezing house with likely disastrous consequences of bursting water pipes! I told RHC to cancel their wasted efforts, & I called another heating company. They got the part in two hours & fixed my heating system by 10 pm the same day, Friday. No extra cost for immediate service, just the cost of parts cost and normal service call.

I’m sorry but RHC failed, & failed spectacularly! The call out crews were ok but they should have diagnosed the whole problem; not just one part of it. No, I will not return to RHC again. Thank you!
