Renfrew / Ottawa West KOA

Spent a four day weekend at Renfrew KOA. Basic facilities. Extremely disappointed that when FIVE children and an adult walked into and out of the main office, an employee thought it was entirely acceptable to smoke within 5 feet of the main door. When politely asked to smoke elsewhere, as there were CHILDREN passing by, the employee became extremely defensive amd started to become angry at me. I then emailed Renfrew KOA and was told someone would come speak with me at my site. Not one person spoke with me, nor was this issue resolved.

This is one of the cleanest, well kept campgrounds we've been to. The staff is knowledgeable and nice. Lots to do, putt putt golf, driving range, nice beach for swimming, canoeing ect.

I loved staying her in our motorhome. Lots were spacious and clean. The people that worked there very friendly

Ridiculously over priced! Almost $50 just to pitch a tent. Who do they think they are? Are we sleeping on land filled with gold or something? Pathetic. Should be $10 like every other campground across canada

Staff is super friendly and helpful but the pictures that were posted of the sites etc on their site are deceiving. We were jammed in between 4 other sites with about 5 others looking at us, no privacy whatsoever and very small sites and not much room to park your vehicle once you park your trailer. Figuring out which site is yours and where it starts and ends can be confusing. The campground is about 80% seasonal campers and most of them while we were there were not friendly at all to the transient campers. Tried to have a shower at the comfort station but the shower head was completely missing. Be aware that if you are camping in a trailer without a full service site there is NOT a dump station on site! I called on our way out to ask if there was a dump station and they directed us to a pull through site that no one was booked at to dump, thankfully the people beside this site was our friends or that would have been awkward! The lake was pretty disgusting looking and smelled pretty awful, no swimming for us. This place has a lot of potential and could be a great spot, maybe delete a few sites and make the others larger so you have some room to move around without touching your neighbours trailer and gear.

The campsite was in the middle of a field, the amenities more than made up for that. Driving range, horseshoe pitch and a small lake of the grounds.
I would camp here again if in the area.

The KOA Team was very friendly. Our Campsite was in front of the lake which was awesome and it was very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The Toilets and Showers are a bit old, but otherwise everything was great.

Never called me back paid for the summer well covid was bad and couldn't go never got my money back or nothing

This campground had potential to be a decent place. A greed based expansion, entitled seasonal campers, unenforced park rules and rude overnighters have made that an unachievable task. The new sites are so close together that your unattended neighbors kids can't help but to trip over your hydro water and sewer connections.several times. (It's not entirely the kids fault, as their parents were too drunk to supervise them). The park is very noisy during the day and past the nighttime curfew for quiet time. Barking dogs, nosy seasonal campers who have no problem conversing about overnight guests in front of their sites and potholes big enough to destroy your suspension. It is painfully obvious that the owners do not understand what a pull-through site means. If you are not an expert in maneuvering AND your neighbor doesn't move their vehicle, you're not leaving. Stay away and stay elsewhere.

After a difficult 2 yrs, our Family experienced One of the Best Family Camping Canada Day Trips of our Lives. The Park is Beautiful, Clean very well Maintained. Staff were Friendly. Great Group of Campers. There was a Canada Day Festival with Live Entertainment Free BBQ Hot Dogs & Hamburgers, Dunk Tank for the Kids. The Fireworks were spectacular.
There were cars and trucks decorated everywhere with and the campers formed a human link had a moment of silence sang O Canada signed eachothers flags made new friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
It did get a little loud one night with campers having too much fun filled with way more energy than I have at my age, pretty normal for any long weekend Campground.

I highly recommend camping there, it is run by solid human beings that have a heart & soul.

Angela, who runs the KOA, is such a lovely person, all the park staff are very friendly and the grounds are kept very well. My hats off to the all for handling the insanity that was the Canada day long weekend. I highly recommend this campground to everybody. Thank you Angela for the amazing experience!

Stayed at this camp for a festival style event that has been known about for almost half a year and they disallowed Canada day fireworks and music during reasonable hours, this is the worst campground I have ever been to, the side of the road would have been better

Best freedom camp ever staff is friendly and awesome lots of things to do for the kids I wish I could give it more then a five star because it really is more then a five star my family had a blast Canada day weekend and I’m hoping to go back one day thanks again for having us!

It was an amazing experience! They moved our campsite to another when we asked so our group could be together!

It is a clean, well run campground. This is the second time we have stayed there. Unfortunately, the " Freedom Convoy" was hosting a rally, unbeknown to us which really soured our stay. Provided the rally isn't there next time, we will return.

The crew and owner of this camp ground is absolutely wonderful. It’s been the best canada day for us in a while!

The staff here are so incredibly friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well laid out. Love the full service pull-through we were assigned to as well. Love this park!

The log cabin was small but generally comfortable, the staff were kind, and the bathroom was clean. I think it is decorated here and there in a cute way.

This is a good place for families, and has lots to do outdoors. The spring-fed lake is warm, and facilities are satisfactory. Not the ideal place for solo campers due to higher rates and noise.

Rond de feu non accessible car entre notre Pick Up et celui du voisin. Très désappointé. Mauvais rapport qualité-prix. On s'attendait à beaucoup mieux d'un camping Koa. Et on est ici pour 6 nuits Une chance qu'on va partir en moto dans la journée

Stayed here for a few nights and would recommend to others looking for a place to stay in the area. Sites are tight with seasonal campers mixed in with the over nighters. We left on a Saturday morning but on the Friday night it was a steady stream of new campers arriving (early July). Washrooms were very clean and there seemed to be lots for the kids to do if you need to keep the young ones busy. Not too far from Renfrew 35 minute cycle ride for me if you wanted to venture into town for anything.

The hydro was NOT sufficient.
Our stay was not as good as expected and if we return, we will check to see if improvements have been made to the electricity supply.

The customer service is absolutely amazing. Beautiful beach. Love the mini putt and how close it is to splash pad.even on 40 degree day could still play golf just by running to splash pad to cool down.

Amazing campground, amazing lake. Only downside is an internet speed of less than 1Mbit/s, which isn't enough for almost everything.

Not enough power on site to run a/c unit. Had to run generator to cool down trailer. Only 102v to the trailer need least 108v to run a/c with out burning it out. It should be at around 115 and higher. Site is nice. Camp ground clean. Friendly staff.

Had very loud drunk aggressive neighbours that started to argue and try and fight us. We tried calling front office and we were unable to contact anyone leaving us in a very unsafe and uncomfortable position all night long

The best campground I have attended. Will definitely be back again! The cabin experience was amazing and the driving range and mini putt were lots of fun! Pet friendly and very friendly staff. 100% accommodating! Thank you KOA! They were very accommodating with no complaints. Love it here!

I’ve been camping there for years normally it’s a great family friendly campground however their lake/private beach is now infested with leeches so the kids no longer want to swim.unfortunately we have to find a new campground ️

My daughter and I took my grandaughter and a friend's child out there for a day, and I must say I was very very impressed with the immaculate kept grounds and the super clean bathroom s. We had an excellent day with the kids renting a paddle boat and swimming and we enjoyed a wonderful picnic at one of their tables. I highly recommend this campground, The cleanliness sold me on it.

Very good KOA. Mini golf is fun and free. Showers and toilets are clean and the laundry is good. Shop is well stocked, buy some of the jerky they have (in fridge) it is great.

As always it was wonderful and lots of fun. Never disappointed with the Halloween weekend. They go the extra mile to make it so much fun for kids and adults alike.

Loved this campground. Amazing people. Fun activities for the kids. Fair price. Only complaint were the number of leaches in the lake.

I asked for extra tomatoes pay $0.50 and they give me one Little Slice I don't find this enough healthy options, but I love the coffee

Great campground with lovely staff! Was here with a large group and they were extremely accommodating to our numbers! The beach is a little small but they had a volley ball court and a splash area for kids on site to make up for it!

Everything is excellent. Staff are always smiling and helpful. Washrooms & showers are clean. Grounds are very well maintained. Tons of activities. Beach, playground with splash pad, basketball, mini putt, bounce pad.horseshoes, volleyball, driving range. We stay here several weekends each summer. Not ready to be seasonal campers, but if we do, this is the place we'd want to be.

Great Family park. With a JumpPad, MiniPutt, Driving Range, Play structure and Beach, the kids will be busy for hours. It has Large RV, Travel Trailer, Tent and Cabins sites.
