Rent-a-Son

Updated to 1 star.they broke stuff when loading it into my storage locker and denied it when I found broken pieces. I couldn't dig it back out to prove it. I let the company know it happened but didnt hear back. I will not use them again.

My experience with rent a son started smoothly, then got rocky, then went smoothly again. Process of scheduling the move was simple and coordinated with a polite nice gentleman. The move was scheduled for 9am the next day. However, on the move day it was almost 11 am and no one was here! I was frustrated, confused, and upset because no one called me and explained to me what was going on! After a few phone calls I was able to talk to another gentleman who explained to me something out of their control has happened and they're running behind the schedule. Fortunately, he was able to coordinate the move for 12: 45 pm the same day. Three nice people moved my stuff carefully and put them where I wanted. People whom I talked to on the phone and even the crew themselves apologized a lot for this unfortunate incident which proves their dedication and work ethics. I'm just taking one star from them because it would have been nice to call me and inform me about the incident the moment they became aware of it, it would have prevented a lot of frustration, especially for me.

I used them twice as we renovated our house. The guys (2 different crews) were so great, helpful and careful. Jose, Jeff, Cliff, Kyle and Corban were all very good. Would definitely use them again. Thanks so much. John Kennedy was great at organizing and returning my call.

I called the day before I needed movers and was able to book two movers through their representative, Erika. On moving day, the movers, Wealth and Sean, showed up on time and worked extremely hard with no breaks. I wasn’t sure if they would be able to move everything in the time given but they went above and beyond! They saved the day

We just had one of the most peaceful moves my wife and I could imagine thanks to Favio, Christo, Corbyn and Gavo (sorry guys if I messed up the spelling of your names). The team was unbelievably efficient, careful, polite and hard working and they had our 3 bedroom house moved into a 5 bedroom in 9 hours including the travel of our slightly long haul 2.5 hour trip. The amount of positive attitude they brought to the move made a stressful time feel like fun. They had the house in such a good state that even unpacking and setting up the rest doesn't seem like too much of a daunting task. I will absolutely use Rent-A-Son again in the future after the incredible experience I received (although I hope I don't have to move again!).

Rent-a-Son was so helpful, effective and professional They get everything in, out and unloaded in way less time than I thought without a scratch - and they're the cheapest place I found!

Right on time, the guys were great, Cory and customer service is amazing I highly recommend.

Fast response, flexible, accommodating and very professional. I had Kashane and Denys as my movers for the day and they were fast and efficient, made my long distance province move from Ontario to Quebec completely stress free. They also disassembled, packed the furniture and brought all the supplies I was missing. Might cost a bit more than others but worth every penny. Just book them.

My compliments to Erika and the team at Rent A Son for quick and consistent response and follow up. I have used other companies in the past but now have all our move related work booked directly with them as we have had positive feed back from our clients.

Today was my second move this month as I am rightsizing 2 households. For the second move I chose a new company and I am so happy I did. My move was out of a condo to a house and also to a storage facility. Lots of moving parts and the team of Theodore and Adrien handled it all with ease. The 2 gentlemen that did the move for me were super pleasant, friendly, efficient and totally professional. We were even visited by a company supervisor in the middle of the move who wanted to ensure that I was happy with their service so far. Rent a Son is the best moving company I have ever experienced and I have moved a lot. I wish they had done all my moves. They certainly will should I have to move again!

Our movers, Theo and Adrian, were great to work with as well. They were punctual, efficient, and took great care in making sure our move was worry free. Very happy with the internal move that Kashane and Reynolds handled for us today. Even with a difficult couch and stairway combination they tried every approach and in the end I felt they had made the best of the situation. And they managed to stay within the time allotted for the move. I could not have asked for more. Great attitudes and very professional. I hope I can get these guys again when the time comes to put things back after our renovations are done.

The crew: Aslan, Arian, Theodore, Michael, Matt and Sergei were courteous and very professional. They wrapped and moved my belongings with care and efficiently. First rate mover and would use them again if necessary.

We did a full house-to-house move with Rent-a-Son this week and were very happy with the experience. The estimator (Rob) was super responsive in generating a clear and detailed quote. When moving day came, the 4-person crew of Brock (the foreman), Dominic, Fabio and Hakan were fantastic. They got everything done incredibly quickly, were very attentive in placing items and boxes in the correct room at the new place, and were just overall delightful. When they were about to leave, I started hearing animal sounds in the vent pipe of the stove at our new house (long story, since resolved and unrelated to the move) but the whole crew came back in to check it out with me! Really can't say enough good things about how great this crew was. Highly recommend.

Rent-Son is incredibly professional, responsive and FAST! One of the best moving experiences I have ever had. Would recommend in a heartbeat! They moved us from Toronto to a city two hours away. They were on time and incredibly efficient. Moving supplies were very helpful with larger and harder to pack items like paintings, tv and mattress. They took care of everything.

Needed to do an internal move and load a pod. Movers were prompt and professional and did a great job.

I’ve had a storage unit here for 4+years. Living in the US with a storage unit in Canada can be tricky, but dealing with Rent a Son (and Erica Jackman in particular) have made it smooth & seamless!

These men were excellent. Rose above glitches (stuck in the elevator) and got the job done. No damage, and they were so careful with the packing. I hope not to move again for a long time, but would definitely use them if I do, and would recommend them highly.

Needed help packing up an office on fairly short notice. Got it booked with little effort. Two guys showed up on time. They were polite, clean and quickly packed up most of an office in 3 hours.boom!

Brian and Caiden were amazing and went above and beyond, this is my second time using rent a son and it has been a great experience both times! Highly recommend!

The movers were excellent. Very professional and pleasant to be around. The only issue was how inaccurate the quote was. We were quoted a 5.5hr move and it ended up taking 7.5hrs for a relatively run of the mill and easy to estimate move with no significant hiccups. The movers were always busy and no one was ever slacking off. They did everything meticulously (disassembled and carefully wrapped all furniture, etc), so the main office should have done a better job at providing an estimate of how long things should take given that the movers were following what appeared to be standard procedure.

This is the second move we have made with Rent-a-Son and both were very well handled.
Brock and Wealth? Were very polite and efficient and the move went perfectly to plan as far as timing, which was important as there was a short window of availability at the Retirement Home to which we were moving my mother.
The estimate was very close, so all round, a very satisfactory day.

I had contents of a one bedroom apartment moved from Brockville, ON to Edmonton, AB, from a storage unit to a storage unit. Everything was picked up, packed professionally, and delivered in a timely manner. The driver arranged a delivery time with me in advance, and again when he was an hour out. I met the truck at the destination point, and they unloaded everything very quickly. I would use Rent-a-Son and their affiliates again.

Very personable, helpful and professional personnel. No breakages or errors. Very difficult move into my condo with no hold on the elevator was handled extremely well. I would highly recommend Rent-A-Son.

Communication with Erika was excellent. The crew were prompt and very professional. The foreman Jack directed things efficiently and conscientiously and was willing to go out of his way to do the little extra things to help us out, such as moving excess furniture to the garage.

Rent A Son handled our move within the gta and we were beyond impressed with the entire team. Our move coordinator was very responsive and spent quite a bit of time answering our questions and ensuring details were correct.
