I recommend it it's been 3 times that i visited, and I always took with me people who didn't know them and they loved to see the animals, is good distraction for children and adults alike.
They have presentations and information about when I will feed the animals, in case anyone wants to be interested in seeing how they feed. Today, Saturday (Dec 30), I discovered that after 5 p.m, they give discounts on tickets as there are no more performances after this time.

Loved this experience and highly recommend going on a weekday to have the museum to yourself! Dani took us on our behind the scenes tour of the facilities. It's so evident the staff truly love and respect the animals, with deep knowledge about them. Many are rescued from illegal zoos and owners and it was so enriching to learn about their histories.

Don't miss feeding some of these guys; we got to feed the three baby caimans and watch them get trained to come by their names!

The exhibit is relatively short and you can cover the whole grounds in a couple hours with children as well.

Wow!
How sad. I hope they move the reptiles as soon as possible to a worthy zoo that can upkeep things. Everyone looks miserable in their tanks. Looks like $$$ is a problem so they turned half of the lights off and they lowered the water in each tank. The gators can't swim any longer.
36$ for a family won't save this place and I won't be coming with my family to this disaster because I believe animals should not be kept that way. Turned my stomach how badly the animals are treated now.

Had a great time here! Great variety of animals to look at, there are live feedings scheduled throughout the day and hourly theatre shows where you can touch some of their animals. Son was so happy to touch a snake!

Spent about an hour here. Place is clean, staff are friendly and it’s much easier to view the animals than at the zoo.

My children like this place. It's a small place, but it's beautiful. We enjoyed it. A giant turtle entering the retail store surprised us. She was so beautiful! It was worthy!
12 January 2022 5:41
I loved this place. We went on Tuesday at the opening time, and were the only visitors there. We got a private, educational tour of all the reptiles in the zoo, because we were the only ones there. Next time, I am going by myself, as kids are too distracting.

Friends of ours booked a birthday party recently with Reptilia, we were all extremely excited to have a bunch of creepy crawlies at the event. 11: 30 rolls around and it appears the event planner is nowhere to be seen. At 2pm we finally receive notice that they would like to reschedule, hours after the event is already over. Clearly these people don't have kiddy's at home! Yeah well just plan another party for you "laughing face". Unprofessional, rude, offered no compensation for the loss and my kids best buddy's birthday was ruined, and the worst part of all this was that we dealt with "MANAGEMENT". DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

This place is very underrated which may be a good thing because it is never over crowded. The place is clean and the staff are very friendly. They have a great variety of reptiles on display that always excite the kids.
13 December 2021 1:54
Son had a fun time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. Lots of reptiles on display. We managed to see the alligator feeding and the cobra feeding. They run shows every hour where you can meet animals up close.
05 December 2021 2:33
Don't go, it's sad to see the reptiles in small areas with no places to move and be free.swore to myself I would never come again and so did my friends
28 November 2021 16:26
We just completed an after-hours tour and it was fantastic! Emma was our guide and she exceeded our expectations. She was friendly and had a great depth of knowledge on all of the animals. It was pleasure to have been guided by her. We learned and saw so much! This has to be the best way to experience Reptilia. I highly recommend it and will definitely go again.
09 November 2021 17:06
Nice selection of animals wish there was more interactive things but guess due to covid they don't have but some parents and kids are animals they have no respect for other people when it comes to the feedings they just push and get in the way
05 November 2021 11:25
We booked the After Hours private tour and we had 2 adults and 3 children (4 and under). This was 150% worth every penny! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I loved having the entire place to ourselves, especially during Covid. But, being able to have our children safely run around was also a huge plus.
01 November 2021 21:00
I brought my children here today. They had a great time! So many reptiles and amphibians for them to see! The live show was very educational and cool as well! They also have a nice little gift shop on the way out. 5/5 stars easy!
17 October 2021 19:36
An absolute hit with our kids! I was really impressed by the sheer volume of creatures to see, and there were so many interesting things inside to do as well. From the play area, to the largest snake every recorded cutout on the floor, feeding time viewings and interactive show, it was a great experience for our family. The staff were wonderful as well! We were able to go around again, they stopped us during the walkthrough to tell us about a feeding time that was starting and upcoming show in the theatre. Not to mention, the gift shop had a wonderful variety of items too! We will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely loved my experience at reptilla, The tour guides were awesome and very helpful with our summer camp kids. We learned lots of information and will definitely come back again
28 September 2021 21:30
Very enjoyable experience if you love reptiles/animals, however some descriptions beside the displays are missing photos, a minor complaint.
26 September 2021 15:46
Worth an experience with kids.my under 6year old really enjoyed spotting and spying the various reptiles. Not too crowded in the pandemic, and the turtle and tortoise touch zones are not open, but you can pet a few animals during the animal show which is hourly. Giftshop is obviously pricy, but for souvenir it's ok.
16 September 2021 10:04
Enjoyed our time here at reptilla, The guides were very helpful and we learned a lot of information about different reptiles. Will definitely be returning again soon!
02 September 2021 11:45
A group of 4 of us had a great time on a VIP after hours tour! Our tour guide was super informative and full of fun facts (South American guy, don’t remember his name). Plus the gift shop was great for souvenirs as well as lots of reptile pet supplies. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

This is really Great reptiles zoo, not big, not too small.
The Theatre show capacity is reduced… it can be a challenge to get inside and enjoy the show…
Staff is always friendly and polite)
The facility is looks clean.

Though the facility and normal hour viewings are great, their summer camp is awful. No grace, or patience with the kids. Though they may be trained with animals, they do not know how to teach or work with children. The system introduced of warning, time out, call home was not followed. Unless the call home part was at 8pm many hours after camp to notify me he was banned. He was just kicked out for being excited and running ahead of the group. Tried to talk about strategies that would help in working with kids, and was told off. What was supposed to be a fun and Informative week that he would remember forever, left my son with no self esteem, frustrated because of no warnings and in tears not even knowing what he had done wrong.

Hands down one of the best zoos I've ever visited. I could really tell how much the staff cared (for both guests and the animals) and they did a great job explaining the animal's lifestyles and telling me facts about them. They've done a really good job with Covid precautions, during my visit, everyone was over 6 feet apart and wearing masks properly. The exhibits were laid out wonderfully and it was really cool to see the animals during their feeding time. I can't wait to come back!
22 January 2019 3:13
Great place for kids to interact with reptiles. They do a zookeeper tour every hour and also do feedings maybe 3 or 4 times a day. Each tour includes getting up close with 2 or 3 animals. Kids of all ages will enjoy.
15 January 2019 18:41
You can see many exotic reptiles and learn a lot about their habits and behavior. You can hold some animals and watch them being feed by the staff. A lot of necessary info is available if you want to adopt an animal as an exotic pet. Most of the animals there are actually dropped there by their previous owners as they couldn't take care of them longer. There are four presentations with 3 animals introduced in each. You can touch the animals and ask questions about them. Also there is a gift shop where you can find everything required to set up a place for your pet reptile! All in all, it was a great visit.
30 December 2018 5:37
The kids liked it here. Place is big enough for them to roam around. The live feeding of the alligators and snake is interesting. That 14 ft crocodile in the tank is HUGE!
02 December 2018 6:45
My son went to camp here in the summer (2018). It wasn't cheap and it was pretty disappointing. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because my son enjoyed it.

The first day there, there was only one staff member with all the kids. I asked about the ratio they usually have and they said 2/3 counselors but one hadn't shown up yet. We are talking 45 minutes after we could drop kids off. Not a great start to my confidence in leaving my child with them.

Next, the TV was on at drop off and pick up time. If I wanted TV as my child care, I could so that myself and save a lot of money. It is lazy and unprofessional to have it on at a camp.

During the week, my son came home and told me all about a movie they watched. Again - not what I am paying for! To make it even worse, they decided that it was appropriate to show a PG-13 movie to my 5 year old. I wasn't happy and it made me question if the owners of Reptilia had any idea what these camp counselors were doing during the day. Because they certainly ruined their reputation in my mind.

Admittedly I'm a teacher and I have high expectations that programs are planned well and thought out. Especially for the money being paid.

So disappointing over all. Did my son enjoy it though? Yes.

Just came back from a fantastic birthday party for a four year old. Big party room for one hour, table cloths, cups, utensils and plates, lots of help with set up & clean up, and then a 30 minute show that kept a dozen+ kids' attention. Wisely ordered pizza through Reptilia which meant they kept it warm and they gave us fountain drinks (including water). Should have also ordered the nut free cake. Then all the friends got to marvel at the animals in the exhibits and run around the little indoor playground. A fun party that the parents enjoyed and could relax at! 5 star + experience.
13 November 2018 2:08
They have a lot of reptiles, they make shows, let you touch them, they show also how they feed them. It was quiet interresting!
07 November 2018 14:11
Horrible experience. Terrible CS skills by very amateur staff. "Teacher Appreciation Day" this year turned into "Squeeze the teacher for money because there are new limits this year and you can no longer bring your entire immediate family" -

For context, they used to let you bring 4 others, now cut in half to 2 - no communication about this, we did not have our wallet with us (did not expect to have to pay for anything) and the manager had no EI skills to perhaps flex to the situation. Rude, amateur, and unprofessional staff.
06 November 2018 3:17
My girlfriend and I went here and had a great time. It takes about 90 mins to go through. We saw a python being fed a rabbit which was interesting.
05 November 2018 15:58
Great place to take kids. Not as big as I anticipated. If you are bringing toddlers expect them to be preoccupied for an hour max. The show at the end was great!
27 October 2018 22:17
For his birthday, my son was given a leopard gecko. I went to Reptilia thinking it was the best place to get the equipment we needed. Everything was overpriced, the staff talked my out of buying some necessities in order to have me by unneeded equipment, and after learning more about my son's reptile on my own, I had to go out and buy the actual necessities. I should have done my research first, granted, but I thought a place like Reptilia would have been part of that research.
On top of all that, most of all the equipment I purchased was found at another pet store closer to home at about 75% of the cost of buying it at Reptilia. Not going back, ever.
27 October 2018 8:56
Everything about this place is great! I love how the zoo is set up and they also have a store at the end.
Plenty of options to have a closer experience with the reptiles. Reptile shows are often and as well as feedings.
Excellent way to run a zoo, all animals look happy.
There are plenty of spots to sit and also a mini playground in the middle of the zoo.
26 October 2018 2:50
Came with my little sis.giggles and laughs the whole time. She loved, i thought it was pretty cool too so close to home too
25 October 2018 18:28
Was trying to book birthday party with no luck. No response by email or phone. Hard to deal with. Worst experience ever with booking.

Brand new Reptilia in Whitby, ON! Really fun experience for the whole family! (Unless you have a snake phobia of course). So many different kinds of snakes to learn about and the tanks and enclosures are great sizes and match the animals natural environment. They have 2 Nile crocodiles and 2 alligators as well as different turtles and tortoises. There are 4 shows a day where you can meet and pet some reptiles and there are feedings scheduled to view as well. It's all indoor and quite warm for the comfort of the animals so leave your coats in the car! A wonderful and informed staff led by an avid animal lover makes for a welcoming environment. Not only does their gift shop carry toys and shirts, it also has an amazing variety of reptile and amphibian care equipment for your pet family members! 16 bucks for adults and 11 for kids makes for a great and cost-effective day out! And your kids (and the kids at heart) will love their play ground fully equipped and safe with 2 mazes and a music room! Honestly, check this place out and you wont regret it!

Viele Reptilien, dazu Infos, tägliche Fütterungen und love Theater. Alles zusammen sehr gut und professionell gemacht.
12 October 2018 10:29
I went with my 3 yrs old yday. It’s a indoor zoo. A small building. They have few snakes, couple of alligators, iguanas and turtles. My kid did enjoy as he loves reptiles. They have feeding sessions, photo session with alligator and cobra, a “pat me” session with few animals. On average you might spend an hour or so. May be a 1 time thing. If you go to the the other zoo’s you might as well cover the snakes but the highlight of this is you can hold an alligator and cobra. Not sure if other places have it.

I took my daughter to this specialty zoo so many times over the years, I lost count of the number of visits. The place is fascinating, informative and fun.

Not only will you find a large variety of reptiles in different sizes, you will have the opportunity to touch and interact with some of them. There is a schedule for feeding of crocodiles and it is exciting to watch these large predators go after their meals.

This place is also great for birthday parties. We attended two of them here through the years. The activities were engaging and the kids loved the petting portions of the party.
11 October 2018 5:50
Really cool place just in general. Fair admission prices. Maybe a loyalty program would be better for reoccurring visitors? The reptile zoo is great, lots to see and ask about. Only negative I would say is the prices on souvenirs is REALLY EXPENSIVE, like I dont even think anyone is paying attention marking the prices. My son wanted a little stuffed snake thing and it was $35 while others were prices differently. Some staff is knowledgable, great place to pick up frozen feeder rats/mice and live crickets. They do have a loyalty program for this as well! So that's amazing! The animals that are for adoption are not really taken care of. We seen a ball python, low humidity, not shedding right, had eye caps over his eyes. Not a pretty sight. I wish they would take better care of their store front / adoption animals. I had to explain to my 5 year old how difficult it is to keep up with all the animals when we left the zoo: (to sum it up, great place to take the kids for a couple hours, it's not a huge place but they do say once your in you can stay as long as you would like. The souvenirs are expensive, staff is somewhat knowledgeable, you need to know who to talk to.
08 October 2018 13:38
This was such a fun trip with my two young boys (4 and 18 months)! Loved seeing all of the snakes and other reptiles.
29 September 2018 0:36
This place was a nice afternoon destination, I enjoyed their shows and feedings. Staff are knowledgeable. It's not a very big facility, but still a couple of hours worth of exhibits to check out.
21 September 2018 18:33
Very cool! However When you finish you come out to trap to spend lots $$$$$ for kids and just one toy is more then you paid for admission combine.
17 September 2018 10:56
Where fun and education meet. Wonderful place for young ones to visit, celebrate birthdays, and camp during the summer. We've done all three and were never disappointed.
The camp is fun, well organized, and also gives good lunch options. The staff is very engaging and kids are never bored.
The birthday party a couple of years ago was also success, and all friends were talking about it for long time.
16 September 2018 9:50
This place is too small to be entertaining for kids. And the species variety is not that great. Snake after snake after snake after snake - my boy has lost his interest in the middle of it.
14 September 2018 20:25
A ton of reptiles inside the building and well worth seeing. I was lucky enough to watch the turtle feeding and it was great!
13 September 2018 11:54
Very fun experience. Best reptile house I've been too, genuinely fun and educational. Our three year old loved it too!
07 August 2018 0:26
It's a small building, but an excellent experience for the price. Some "zoos" you go to are boring because the animals just lay there and don't move. Here, the majority of the creatures were quite active and fun to watch. Also, there are shows every hour, where they will bring out 3 animals (different every time), tell you about them, and let you touch them. We stayed for over 3 hours just so we could watch 3 of these shows. If you like snakes and lizards, check this place out.
