Residence & Conference Centre - Kitchener Waterloo

As an international student of conestoga college, I recently completed my course and stayed in college residence in doon and it was of very low standards it has no maintenance on weekends and holidays and if something happens they have no answer, in many rooms there are something not working properly wether its a problem with blinds sometime or the door, residence has a common kitchen on first floor for the whole building which is very inconvenient and that isn't enough and gets very crowded even if 10 people are in there, the people at the reception are very rude and if you ask anything they don't have an answer, the night shift people play games on the system and are very unprofessional and after paying so much in rent and tuition fees we really do not expect this kind of services.

Close to the highway. Plenty of parking. Good customer service. Rooms are very clean, have a little kitchen with sink, microwave and dinning area. Be advised that the room doesn’t come with a stove, bring your plates and bowls if you are planning to use the microwave.

Came in with 0 expectations because of how cheap it was and somehow it still disappointed

Most of the stuff in the rooms is broken or dirty.
Door lock does not work
No bathroom fan or windows that open so there is mold
When you turn on the heating or cooling you can literally hear the fan inside struggle to slosh through a ton of water so I'm assuming there is mold in there as well
Shower was disgustingly dirty on arrival
Paint peeling off parts of the ceiling
No do not disturb door card in rooms. Asked staff for a card to hang on our door they said they didn't have anymore. They said they would mark it down and wouldn't come in. They still came in anyways
Elevator buttons broken
Room advertised as a double size bed (not even close)
Fridge smells like something rotted in it
And last but not least apparently my unit somehow leaked water all over the unit below me

Spend a few $ more and go else where

We stayed 3 nights for our annual convention! Overall we had a nice stay! Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, large fridge, microwave. It is a small apartment, rather than a hotel (because a hotel usually provides a coffee maker, hair dryer ect.).

There is a kitchenette with sink and countertops, 2 chairs (feeling like at home, which is nice).

The stuff is super friendly and goes above and beyond to help!

The only problem we had was the noisy air system, but we bought ear plugs and we slept well the second and third night.

It was a bit confusing finding the entrance the first night but other than that it was great. Clean, quiet and perfect for myself and my 2 girls.

Good for what it is. It is not a hotel so manage your expectations. Renovations have been done with varying degrees of success. New flooring and cabinets in the rooms. Comes with a kitchenette. Very convenient. Lots if storage. Beds were comfortable. The tubs were refinished with a bath fitter type application. They should have torn them out and just installed shower stalls. Our bathroom sink was clogged and no service person on the weekend. The towels need to be replaced with hotel quality towels. Would I stay there again sure. For the price it's worth it. Free parking. McDonald's and Tim Hortons close by. Right off the 401 hwy.

I and my family really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We felt like home, the room and the washroom were neat, comfortable bed, big fridge, microwave and a alot space to sit. It was awesome. Hardly recommend this hotel for family.

I was so pleased with my room, clean, quite, large fridge to use.perfect for my 3 day stay. It was close to restaurants, coffee shop, and gas station, located close to the 401 so easy to find! The price was right, and I would enjoy staying here again for the next time. Thank yo

Value for money - reasonable price for a hotel stay. Clean and renovated room with a large fridge, kitchenette and lots of storage. Free WiFi and parking, and it’s a few minutes drive to restaurants and Highway 401. The staff was friendly and they provided housekeeping services every day during our stay.

We have always stayed here many times in the past but I have to say we were disappointed in the changes since covid. We stayed in the new tower this year and it does not have the 2 separated rooms but a partial wall between beds. Lots of closet and drawer space and really nice kitchen area though with full fridge. The bathroom needs touch ups and the plug in the one room was missing a seal and totally missing from the other room so a bath was out of the question, water stains in the tub as well. There's no longer a complimentary breakfast nor any water, coffee or tea available in the day, the BBQs still needs to be lit with a lighter. The game room is now also to be booked and unlocked with room key. The beds were truly uncomfortable for us all as the mattresses were extremely firm. That being said the price is usually less than other places and stuff is really friendly. There's access to many restaurants in walking distance including Tim Hortons and Wimpys Diner.

I recently stayed at the residence with a friend for our annual convention. She was impressed with the accommodation's and so was I, In the past I had stayed in the residence, but in another section, the renovations has much improved the place and I would readily stay there again, also would recommend it.
Staff, friendly, helpful. One Problem no breakfast or welcoming drink. I would suggest they go back to Pre-Pandemic service this would benefit them in that more people would stay there. Personally I like the fact that there is a full fridge, and microwave, plus countertop I am able to wash my dishes.

The rooms are nice and big but that's the only positive. The ventilation of the rooms makes an infernal noise, the water is disgusting and the beds are totally uncomfortable

Staff are Helpful and polite but all of tthe rooms are disgusting and the lighting is depressing and dar at night. Terrible for people with asthma or breathing difficulties, the air feels wet and moist in rooms and there is black mould due to there being no ventilation. It was such a horrible experience I slept half the night in my car and had to book somewhere else to sleep the next day which was super stressful.

A Hotel/ Guest house at a good location. Need improvement on having at least few cups/ water kettle etc. The reception ahould be trained on proper hospitality skills

Great for students attending Conestoga, some rooms need a definite face lift. As part of the yearly inspection, the heating/cooling unit in the room should be inspected. Some units were not providing heat in the winter.

The staff was 10/10. Very helpful, professional and pleasant. Great value, would stay there anytime.

Very quick access to 401. Rooms simple and functional. Nice and clean no complaints. Bathtub and sink both missing a plug. Very accommodating when I needed to change my arrival time due to late night flight. Rooms have fridge, microwave, sink but bring your own mug/cutlery as none on site. Will stay there again if in the area.
