Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Airport

They just have 1 jug of infused water… shared between normal guests and some party hall…. It’s been 2 days and 3rd night already…. No water to drink… their answer, we do not provide water as room service… you gotta buy it.

We are paying over $250/night and we DONOT even have water to drink.

I've always loved to stay at any Residence Inn and I don't know if I've been disappointed by any just yet. Great location, clean rooms and great staff. Always recommended

Don't wait for the shuttle at Pearson. The hotel is listed but they don't actually offer the service. Front desk staff is so rude

I have been on tour teaching classes in different cities in the U. S.almost every month of 2023. All except 2 stops, my events were at Marriott hotels and I didn't have any problems. However, this is one Marriott I will not do business with again. I don't know if it is because it is in Canada, but the customer service, hotel experience and event experience are all way below the standards of Marriotts in the states.

Let's start with the hotel and customer service experience: Toronto Marriott, like most, have a morning breakfast. However, I have not stayed at one that cards you at the breakfast entryway. They actually have a person standing there asking to see your room key before you can enter, even just to get a cup of coffee. This is so off-putting and in poor taste.

The staff at the front desk always acts completely clueless when asked a question and it seems as though it is everyone's first day at work.

I had a 2 day event in their grand room. Which in no way reflected a grand room. I paid $36 CAD per person for lunch the first day and there was not enough food provided for my guests, so my staff and I had to order Door Dash. The sales rep for my event offered me no compensation or partial refund for not having enough food for my guests and the quality was way below Marriott standards in the states.

The second day of my event I woke up to several thousands of dollars being held on my account. The front desk could not explain or help me and when I went to the sales rep for the event she stated that the front desk had mistakenly charged two rooms of my event guests stays to my card. I had no access to these funds again until I returned to the states.

Enough food was provided the second day and again was not worth the per person charge. I had a deli option and they provide a piece a turkey, a piece a ice berg lettuce and piece a cheese on white sandwich bread to my guests. Such a poor presentation and poor quality of food for the price they charge per person. Just another disappointed.

All this being said. Save yourself your time, your money, and the stress of staying here and definitely do not have your event here. You and your guests will be disappointed.

The hotel is a bit dated and some fixtures were quite loose. Decent water pressure and temperature in the rooms. If you are planning on using the pans in the kitchen they do not hold heat very well and are very low quality. It is nice having a full kitchen though. Rooms are cleaned every second day, but dishwashing rags or soap is not always replenished but available if requested.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was well run. With the close proximity to the airport it can be quiet noisy with certain flight patterns. Quick easy access to highways and airport with numerous restaurants close by.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel 7 days for our anniversary/vacation trip. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the cleanliness of the property. Breakfast was available each morning and we were greeted by staff with a smile. Front desk staff provided excellent customer service including Het who went the extra mile to provide us with written directions to our destination for the day. Fairs and Shazeele were very kind and friendly and made our experience memorable. If we ever travel to Toronto again, we will definitely book this hotel again! Very pleased!

I had an EXCELLENT stay at this hotel. First of all, my original reservation was at the hotel across the street. They wouldnt take me on arrival from the airport because I had a debit vs.a credit card, I offered to pay a deposit, sign forms, I even offered a credit card owner willing to call in their number, they were so ridiculous about it. Thank GOD for the Residence Inn next door. They immediately heard my desperation and helped me out right away. I paid a deposit for each night, the staff was SO NICE and the check in process was soo smooth I was in tears by then. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Two smart TVs and a very well stocked, equipped kitchen. The complimentary breakfast is so much better than the usual danishes and coffee, they had great food and lots of choices. The pool was awesome, my son and I spent hours in there, he was SO excited to see a basketball court and rental basketballs. Great experience! Would absolutely stay there and highly recommend. The ONLY thing that would have made the stay more comfortable was easier access to drinking water. If they provided a jug in the fridge when housekeeping came in that would have been PERFECT

Great location near the airport. It takes 15 minutes or so to get downtown on the train which has only a few stops. The breakfast was everything you could ask for. The breakfast staff always said “good morning” and provided great service. The one down side was the night front desk women, I asked her for a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner, she said we do not carry that anymore. However, the following morning I asked the front desk person and they opened the drawer in front of me and it was full of small amenities such as shampoo and conditioner. Referring back to the same woman who works as the night shift front desk, I asked her if the pool area had shampoo because the pool area has a shower, she told me that maintenance would install a shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser in the morning. Unfortunately, that dispenser was never installed. In the future, the staff should not lie and just tell the truth. Also, the staff should be in the same page with regards to guest request. Ultimately, I believe the management should do a better job informing the workers with the proper procedures when dealing with guest.

Rooms: super nice rooms but stayed for a wedding and some of the bedsheets had stains.requested sheets to be changed and they gave us new sheets and said they cannot change the beds for us because the person didn't know what they were doing and then said when rooms are occupied they don't do service. The sheets were stained though.how can you expect guests to change them?

Service: aside from having to change our own sheets, they don't have complimentary toothpaste or brushes and no shampoo or toiletries that are typical of hotels. Especially being near the airport you'd imagine they want visitors from out of Canada to have a good impression.

There was a hockey tournament happening so there were so many children in the halls playing hockey. They were eating snacks so there were cookies and snack boxes all over and crumbs in the morning. Makes it dirty especially when getting ready for a wedding - you'd imagine they'd put people on appropriate floors to avoid this from happening.

One of the elevators was out of service but no sign to signify this. Stood in the elevator waiting for movement for a few minutes before realizing it's down. The sign in the working elevator makes it seem as though movement will cause it to break down which is not reassuring at all

The lobby was also filled with children and parents and their luggage everywhere.

Also, they knew it was a wedding and makeup artists and others arriving to the hotel the next day needed to be registered the night before but I do think they could accomodate for wedding guests to make it less of a stress in collecting plate numbers etc. The policies are too strict and it doesn't make sense for what we paid.

Lovely place to stay. Staff are very friendly and attentive. There is a free breakfast meal during set times. Just make sure to fill out the breakfast sheet. Due to covid it's no longer a buffet style. Check in and out is very flexible. They have a snack shop at the front desk so if you're feeling for a snack you don't even need to leave the building. The rooms themselves are very clean and spacious. The only things we were missing was dish soap or dishwasher soap as we used some of the dishes and wanted to clean up. You may need to ask for them if you're there for more than a couple days. Otherwise they provide the usual shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and toilet paper. Beds are very cozy and the sheets are soft and clean.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights. The one bedroom suite was spacious and well equipped with a kitchenette. It was clean with comfortable bedding. We really appreciated that they accommodated our request to be placed in a quiet area as my wife has sleeping problems. The complimentary breakfast had a good selection of food, juice and fruits, and even had variations on different days. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we would certainly stay there again in the future.

Absolutely amazing stay. Daljit, the cleaning lady, really made our stay that bit better. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. I asked the front desk if they offered airport shuttle and they don't but they gave us a taxi voucher and organized the taxi service for us. Very helpful!
