Residence Inn by Marriott Toronto Downtown/Entertainment District

Very courteous front-office/reception staff. Housekeeping was not good at all. Overall the hotel does not reflect the “Marriott “ ambience that I have become used to over the past 30 years.

Very nice place and good location on the edge of downtown with easy access to all the major sites but avoids all the chaos and congestion.

I originally gave this 5 stars. Until today when my wife had gotten a 250 charge (July 8th) for no reason. Id like a phone call and an answer.and a glitch just ain't cutting it. We have another show in 6 weeks. I'm unsure if we're going to stay here again because of this. I'll change my review once this is rectified, and my wife is contacted by a manager, but it is very unprofessional, to say the least. The fact that we have to call back to ensure this is dealt with puts a sour taste in my mouth.

Suite a notre séjours de 3 nuit, le personnel très gentil, chambre très spacieuse.le seule bémol salle a manger pour les déjeuner trop petite et piscine sans surveillance.

Very convenient location to CN Tower and walking distance to many attractions. Clean and friendly staff. Pool was nice and rooms were very spacious.

Currently staying at this hotel.this place, so far, has been amazing.we are staying here for quite a while and although a bit small, we are happy with our experience!

location is fantastic, pizza shops just down the corner and the breakfast buffet is decently good.my family is actually native to toronto and we are coming back so i cant say anything about tourist attractions around here, by the area in general is pretty.oh, the only thing i would complain of is noise.thin walls, can hear people walking around in hallway.but honestly its quite a minuscule problem.would stay here again!

Very rude staff, assistant manager thinks he has all the power in the world, when asked for there names i was told that’s none of my business, never ever will i stay here again

This was literally an overnight stay, but there are plans to visit again. We were in town to attend a party, so I was looking for a hotel close to the party location.

The hotel is beautiful and close to a number of restaurants. I was surprised to see only 2 elevators, but hey I'm typically a "taking the stairs" kind of person.

This is an attractive extended stay and I've stayed a lot of extended stays. There's a decent size kitchenette, area for eating, good size bathroom, and comfy bed. This room was designed for visitors to feel at home.

Thought Covid would make hotels appreciate customers more, and increase their respect for clients but seems like it's done the opposite. Terrible services, uncomfortable services

This place is disgusting. I found a bug in the bed and the hotel refused to comp the room. The most disturbing and disgusting hotel ever. I would recommend staying any where else but here.

Stayed for 2 nights to visit CN Tower and 2 Jays games. Great location, was close to everything we wanted to do. Huge corner king suite on 17th floor. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Bed was extremely comfortable, room was very quiet, you couldn’t hear street traffic, people in hallway or other rooms. Hotel was very clean and super friendly staff. It certainly is different staying in a hotel during COVID but I believe this hotel/staff has done a good job considering the times. We will definitely stay there again!

I enjoyed my stay here. Only draw back is the number of elevators for guest use was just 2 and there were lots of guest! Besides that, it was a good hotel to stay at. Breakfast was good as well.

The hotel itself was awesome! We had a great room and the complimentary breakfast was nice in the morning, however, the STAFF WAS TERRIBLE!

We were greeted at the front desk by a lady who almost ruined our entire stay. I gave her my CC for the security deposit and without even telling me where my money was going or what she was doing, she refunded my original payment method and charged it to the CC I gave her. This CC was a business card and wasn’t supposed to have that much money on it. This wouldn’t have occurred if she would’ve asked me or told me what she was doing. We then needed an additional card to put a new security deposit on it. And long behold, after the weekend I come to find they charged me a different rate (more expensive) than from when I booked. She was rude and didn’t seem to care that I was upset by the situation.

Worst experience ever with hotel staff.

Residence Inn Marriot felt like home full kitchen and beautiful view from 22nd floor. Everything was close, CN Tower, Roger's Centre, Scotiabank Arena, for the Entertainment. Rooms were very nice and comfortable, clean, friendly staff. I would recommend this to anyone who comes to Toronto. I Booked a hotel for one night and extended it for an extra night that's how much I loved it and felt like at home.

So good. The rooms are huge and spacious. With a big fridge, mini stove, microwave and eating area. Theres an office area and the tv swivels. Great customer service. The breakfast was great and so was the breakfast service. For now its grab and go breakfast. They have a pool and vallet as well. Everything is open. We had room 810 and it was great other than the fact that our view was HORRIBLE (we had energy/electricity generator view.) The location is AMAZZZZING. Close to ripleys, cntower and everything else. Will be staying here again.woukd recommend it to anyone.

One of the covid questions on check in is a clear violation of people privacy and rights. You cannot ask about pink eye! That is not a Covid19 question. I will be filing a complaint with Ontario Human Rights Tribunal as well as filing suit against them. There is also no clear indication where this information will be stored, who will get these forms, who has access to them.

4 night stay. Overall very impressed, but there were some small issues.

Issues-
1. Housekeeping is only twice a week or so. We requested it after 2 days in the room without housekeeping, because garbage starts to pile up. They never came. We had to request it again later that night when we came back. I don't understand why they had to remove daily housekeeping at the price I'm paying for the room (over 300 a night).

2. The eggs in the free breakfast were bland. Yes, hotel eggs are horrible in general but usually you can stomach it every once in a while- not 4 mornings in a row though.

3. One of the three elevators were down.

4. Hot tub was drained.

5. Valet parking only, which fills up at night. Found better self-parking behind the hotel!

6. On-site restaurant was closed. Only thing available was food delivery, and even those guys don't want to bring it to your door because there's no parking. I suppose I can't blame them there; better than nothing!

The good-
1. We got a room with a door separating the bedroom from the living room. Excellent if you've got more guests or kids.

2. Tvs in both rooms, with a good selection of channels.

3. Kitchenette with all you need for a few days, utensils included. No food obviously.

4. Quiet rooms, didn't hear anyone else.

5. Large, spacious rooms, at least the one we got.

6. Pool was nice.

Again, overall we had a very good stay, but they could do better, especially at the premium price they're charging.

The best hotel to stay. Complete appliances in our room. Dishwasher. Stove. Fridge. Microwave. It is like a tiny condo. Feels so comfortable.

Central place easy to get everywhere downtown. Go early for breakfast line is long if you pass 06h30am. Nice rooms clean hotel

Had a larger stidio with a king size bed on the 9th floor. Room was spacious with a small kitchenette, well stocked with dishes. Bed was comfortable, and room was clean, though decor was a little dated. Our view of the transformer station next door was not great, but the hotel offered great value and was perfect for what we needed. Great location! Would definitely book there again.

Good hotel but the building has a security breach on connecting the lobby with the garage. It would be good to have it checked by public authorities

The setting in its self is excellent, a kitchen, living room, mini dinning table, bedroom, washroom suite.
Downtown but away from jammed intersections (with swimming pool, mini exercise room when open), immediately close to a good restaurant.and friendly welcoming & flexible staff!
The view also is engaging on top floors!

My favorite suite style hotel downtown. It's located in the heart of the entertainment district making it easy to get around. Having a little kitchen makes stays so much more convenient and affordable. I highly recommend this place

Stayed here a number of times (during COVID) and each time was fantastic! Affordable and worth our money. Overjoyed to find a hotel that safely serves free hot breakfast (eggs, sausages, the works!) during the pandemic.

Also, the staff is extremely kind and accommodating. Special thanks to Daniel at the front desk who made my family's stay very comfortable.

I highly recommend staying here - you won't be disappointed!

Nice & pet friendly Hotel. Good location, big rooms, nice team, and limited breakfast. The hotel is not new, but still is very warm.
According to Covid restrictions, the pool & gym were close. The breakfast was with limited menu, and you'll choose from the menu, then eat it in your room. In the room you'll find fridge, microwave, dining table, office table and sofa bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped, there is everything you may need for cooking. All the cutlery (forks, knives, spoons) coffee machines and etc.
Parking is available (24 hours) in the hotel for 30$ (tax included) with multiple entrance during the day.

Stayed here a few times and good experience. This is a bit different than other residence inns (Markham and Yyz) in that the regular rooms don’t have a separate door for the bedroom. Stil good except parking is $30 even through a pandemic.

Nothing comparable in this price range.you wont find a bigger room especially not with full kitchen. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the room as well.tasty breakfast served until 930.would recommend this hotel over the fairmont royal york any day.

Great location and spacious rooms. Very friendly staff and well equipped grab and go hit and cold breakfast.

This location must've been great back in the day but everything in it has been a bit more than "gently used".

We switched rooms a couple of times because of issues. The staff was always accommodating. In fact, any time we had an issue, it was quickly dealt with. Given the covid restriction of today, it was still a very DIY stay. We cleaned our own room and called for towel replacements rather than having it done or offered to us.

Great hotel, food was more than expected and the staff was ready to attend to our needs. Definately going back soon, thanks for making our experience awesome!

Great hotel and amenities very convenient location for my business trip to the metro convention center. The only reason 4 stars thing is the hotel was busy and breakfast was a 30 min wait in line for the 4 nights I was there. They should extend breakfast hours in situations like that.

Good food, nice rooms, great location.

UNFORTUNATELY, the internet was down for multiple days and as many people are here for work, there is much to finish in the evenings. This was a major inconvenience for our group. I would recommend checking with them before you book.

Stayed here for business. It was what I expected from staying at a Residence Inn. No highs, no lows. I would stay here again in the future.

Great hotel, staff is typically very friendly. Been staying at this hotel for several years and have never had a single complaint.

Great stay! The breakfast is worth the value alone. Great location in the entertainment district. Everything was within walking distance. The room was clean and a good size for two. But again, the complimentary breakfast was amazing. Not your typical continental breakfast that you get at other hotels. This breakfast had everything I could want and it was included in the price of the stay. When considering hotels in Toronto be sure to check the cost of breakfast (usually about $20CAD) and subtract that from the cost of this room.

Side note, I parked at a local Green P parking, to save on the $50 a night valet service offered by the hotel, and spent $18 for an overnight trip on parking. It is only about a 5 minute walk so I would recommend this parking method.

I have no idea what I did to warrant such rude behavior from the bartender. I came into the bar around 11: 30 with a group of co-workers (all of whom, including myself, were staying at the hotel. Upon arrival, I offered to purchase a bottle of Veuve for $99. I went up to the bar and was told "young lady, go sit and I will be with you in a moment". I was already sitting at the bar so I told him "no worries, take your time", not understand he really just didn't want to serve me. His response was that he was close to last call. I told him we were just looking for a bottle of vueve. He sstated that he didnt have any and only had another variety. Still not understanding that he just didn't want to serve me, I responded again " no worries, I'll just take whatever you have". He then loudly stated, in front of my coworkers, "ypung lady, go sit downz". She i expressrd this experience to management, they could not have cared less. Be aware of this hotel.

Good place for a good price. Wifi was down when I was there but overall very clean room, breakfast buffet is a plus and staff is friendly.

Super résidence, à proximité de tout (restaurant, supermarché, Starbucks.). Appartement très spacieux, bien équipé, propre et classe. Petit balcon avec vu sur la tour un plus non négligeable. Je recommande vraiment ce lieu

Terrible.everything from start to finish.
1.) Check in staff was not attentive, barely acknowledge guests.did not provide any information about breakfast, wifi, any extra complimentary toiletries. Told me wifi was not working and to go to starbucks for wifi
2.) Wifi did not work for entire day with the excuse being it would be fixed every 15 min or to use their business center wifi
3.) Breakfast was bland and terrible, they were cleaning tables and stacking chairs around me as I ate to tell me to hurry up to go
4.) Heater was broken and was not adjustable at all in the room.

Overall this ruined my Marriot experience. I used to be a gold member, now I am exclusively staying in Hilton or Wydam properties

Well located in the Entertainment District. No frills, large rooms with kitchen and adequate breakfast buffet. Great value!

Very nice hotel, especially for the price. I know the rooms may vary, but ours had a king bed with a kitchenette that came equipped with a stove, microwave, full-size fridge, sink, dishes, dishwasher, pots, pans, silverware etc. Though we didn’t take advantage of the service, the hotel even posted that they will gladly take a grocery list from you and do your personal shopping for you (even stock the fridge!)

Complimentary breakfast buffet was included, and was very generous. They even booked us a town car to take us to the airport since our flight was ludicrously early in the morning (had to leave the hotel at 3: 30 AM)

Granted some of the extra services to cost (the town car was like $50 but still cheaper than a taxi) but like I said, for the price and considering breakfast was included, the hotel was very VERY good quality.

Oh, the staff were amazing too, each and every one of them. I think we had a chance to interact with each front desk clerk, and were very pleased.

You deserve 0 stars! I will never come to this hotel again. If you forget ANYTHING at this hotel you can guarantee their staff will ignore you and snatch up whatever you left behind.

I called the hotel, contacted their customer service on their home page and facebook and they either lied to be or claimed they'd call me back. Twice. In which they never did. I accidentally left something behind that had a great personal value to me while I was in the process of losing a loved one. This place is the definition of: I don't care let me take your money.

There was also a nasty and large stain on the couch in my room. So don't pick room 13 on the 3rd floor!

I honestly hope karma bites this building and takes it to the ground. Your customer service is shameful and disgusting.

Worst service I've ever received from a hotel reservation center. Not only did I wait for over 15 minutes every time I called, but the same rude lady hung up on me, twice.

Our room is very nice and clean. They serve one of the best hot breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. Somtimes, there is a long line up during breakfast time. The dining roon was so packed on our second day (September 1st) so we brought our breakfast back to the room.

My only complaint about our room is that there is a big dent in the middle of the king mattress but it's still fairly comfortable to sleep in the bed.

Tips about parking: I used parking panda to book a parking spot at the 200 King Street West parking facility. It only cost me $ 46 for our 3-day parking. It's about 8 minutes walk in between.

These rooms where nice. The bed was big and there was a kitchenette which was useful for long stays. The location is perfect, right in the middle. The bartender was awesome, sweet lady from Brazil, but she had limited ingredients. The breakfast was a bit lacking but over all not bad. My biggest thing was the little stuff, I asked for water and was told that it is not a full service hotel so they can’t bring anything to the room, and there is no parking you need to pay a crazy amount for local parking in the area. Overall a clean easy stay but little things were annoying.

Greet place when bringing whole family. Proximity to many attractions within city core makes this place special. Rooms are clean and small kitchenette is perfect. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was included and was a slight wait but otherwise great. Kids also enjoyed having a pool in the hotel.

A group of is stayed here for a friends birthday. It was close to everything: dining, bars, clubs (entertainment). We were upgraded to a larger suite at no extra cost. The room was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and large. Decor was modern. Overall we really loved our time here!
